From the moment we arrived, the level of service we experienced was truly exceptional. My wife and I chose this resort for our honeymoon, and despite a disastrous start to our trip—arriving 12 hours late and entirely without our luggage due to airline complications—the staff immediately turned our experience around. They were incredibly accommodating, ensuring we had all the basic essentials we needed and expertly pointing us in the right direction to get settled. The room itself far exceeded our expectations. Furthermore, the staff consistently delivered top-tier, unparalleled customer service; their kindness and helpfulness cannot be overstated. The property is massive and remarkably self-contained. It features everything you could possibly need, meaning you never actually have to leave the resort grounds. However, should you wish to explore, it is conveniently located just minutes away from outside entertainment and attractions. I cannot recommend this resort highly enough, though there is one caveat for future travelers to consider. Given the premium price point and the overall sophisticated, classy ambiance of the property, the presence of noisy children and unruly parents felt quite out of place. While this behavioral issue falls squarely on the guests rather than the resort management, I do wish this was an adults-only establishment, as we paid a premium and expected an atmosphere to match. Despite that minor grievance regarding the clientele, the resort itself is spectacular. If I could award them 12 stars, I would do so without hesitation.

We’ve just returned from a 6‑day stay at this hotel. The aesthetics are undeniably stunning and very “Instagram‑friendly”, but beyond that we struggled to find much to praise. The facilities feel undersized for a hotel of this class, especially the kids’ club and the swimming pool, which both seemed quite small. We were also refused a tour of the spa before paying to enter, which did not create a welcoming impression. Breakfast choice was surprisingly limited – six days of top‑quality English breakfast is still not good when there’s little variety – and overall the hotel lacked any sense of vibrancy or atmosphere. There was little effort from the hotel to engage or entertain guests, so despite the beautiful surroundings it sometimes felt like being back in lockdown. Your eyes are pleased by the design, but the overall experience ends up feeling oddly depressing. On a positive note, the hotel’s beach is noticeably better than the other public beaches we visited in Tenerife. Overall, I think this Ritz Carlton is over-rated, we much prefer Rixos resort.

No sabría por dónde empezar a contarles mi experiencia. Hicimos el check in a las 15 y entramos a la habitación, la primera sorpresa fue cuando al pasar al baño había restos de diarrea en el WC. Llamamos a recepción para pedir por favor que limpiaran, pasada una hora nadie venía a limpiar ( a todas estas sin poder usar el baño ). Bajamos presencialmente a recepción a pedirlo de nuevo, nos fuimos a la piscina con la esperanza de volver y que estuviera limpio. La sorpresa fue a las 19:30 cuando subimos de la piscina y el baño seguía sucio. De inmediato bajamos a recepción a ver donde estaba el problema y por qué nadie había subido a limpiarnos la habitación. En este momento nos atendió Valentina quien por fin nos ofreció una solución. Después del mal rato, por fin parecía haber terminado nuestra mala experiencia. Al día siguiente, en el desayuno, un trato pésimo por parte de una camarera quien literalmente tardó 30 mins en acercarse a la mesa, no recogió los platos sucios, no nos cogía la comanda de las bebidas y cuando por fin alguien nos dejó pedirle 2 cafés, nos lo trajeron a la mala gana reprochándonos que el buffet había cerrado había 15 minutos. Cabe destacar que a la mesa de al lado les entregó un café al mismo tiempo con una sonrisa en la cara. Para resumir lo posterior: el trato fue pésimo salvo con alguna excepción de trabajadores más profesionales. Éramos 3 chicas jóvenes que queríamos disfrutar de un fin de semana tranquilo y fuimos tratadas con desprecio, incluso se nos cuestiono si éramos huéspedes del hotel en varias ocasiones pidiéndonos número de habitación. Entiendo que es un hotel de “alta categoría” que frecuentan personalidades importantes pero, supongo que todos tenemos el mismo derecho a sentirnos bien atendidos. Pésima experiencia, no vamos a repetir. En la isla hay muchos hoteles que superan con creces la experiencia que hemos tenido en este hotel.

Great resort to spend time with family. Great amount of options such as pools, play area for kids. Close proximity to beach with 30min frequency shttle from hotel. Great restaurants in the premise and a supermarket 5mins drive away. Service is not what you expect from Ritz Carlton but functional to large extent. In room dining and breakfast area teams are very friendly and accommodating.

We had a wonderful stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Tenerife. We stayed in the Imperial Suite, and from the moment we arrived until the day we left, we were exceptionally well looked after. The level of service was consistently warm, attentive, and professional. The property is absolutely beautiful, with breathtaking views, perfect weather, stunning grounds, and an atmosphere that makes it easy to completely relax. The restaurants were excellent, and every meal we had during our stay was of a very high standard. We highly recommend Akira for incredible sushi and Mirador for the stunning views. A special thank you to Mr. João, who took outstanding care of us throughout our stay. His professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality made our experience even more memorable. He is a fantastic manager and a real credit to the hotel. Thank you to Olesya as well who was a big help during our stay. Thank you to the entire team for such a memorable stay. We will absolutely be returning and would highly recommend The Ritz-Carlton, Tenerife to anyone looking for a truly luxurious getaway.

Our stay at Ritz Abama was truly exceptional. This is a luxurious resort with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean, offering the perfect setting for a relaxing and unforgettable holiday. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. The service was outstanding, the food was consistently excellent, and the entire resort was impeccably clean and beautifully maintained. We especially enjoyed El Mirador, Verona, and the Infinity Retreat pool, where the elegant atmosphere, spectacular ocean views, and impeccable service made every moment special. A very special thank you to Olesya, whose professionalism, kindness, and exceptional attention to detail made our stay absolutely perfect. Her dedication to guest satisfaction and her warm, personal approach truly reflect the highest standards of luxury hospitality.
