Title: Misleading Spa Pricing and Very Disappointing Experience During Pregnancy The hotel is nice and the staff are generally welcoming. However, I strongly advise future guests to be extremely careful with the spa pricing. I am 6 months pregnant and booked a 90-minute prenatal massage for €100. I already found this expensive for Egypt, but I felt I needed it. Before the treatment started, the spa manager examined my back and told me I had a lot of tension and would benefit from extending the massage to 150 minutes. Since I had been told that 50 minutes cost €80 and 90 minutes cost €100, I assumed that 150 minutes would cost around €150–200 at most. At no point was I clearly informed that the final price would be €314. Imagine my surprise when I was presented with a bill of €314 at the end of the treatment and asked to pay immediately. I felt misled and pressured into accepting a service without being given transparent pricing in advance. As someone who lives in Paris, I have visited many luxury spas and would not normally expect to pay this amount even in high-end establishments. Considering that this was a pregnancy massage involving gentle pressure and limited products, the price felt completely disproportionate. My issue is not with the therapist or the massage itself, but with the lack of transparency regarding the cost of the upgraded treatment. Guests should always be informed clearly of the total price before agreeing to any additional service. The hotel itself is pleasant, but I would recommend confirming spa prices in writing before accepting any upgrade or additional treatment.

Für ägyptische Verhältnisse ein sehr gutes Hotel! Das Personal ist überwiegend freundlich und sehr bemüht jeden Wunsch schnellstmöglich zu erfüllen. Das Essensbuffet hat reichlich Auswahl ist zu den Stoßzeiten beim Frühstück und Abendessen jedoch schon recht voll. Einen Platz im Außenbereich fand ich jedoch immer. Das Hoteleigene Fisch-Restaurant kann ich sehr empfehlen. Die Zimmer sind sauber, zweckmäßig, aber in die Jahre gekommen. Die Pool-Anlage trifft nicht meinen Geschmack und schade ist auch, dass es keine Möglichkeit gibt, über einen Steg etc., direkt ins Meer zu tauchen und vielleicht ein paar Fische zu beobachten. Gegen die Lage und El Gouna spricht in Ägypten aus meiner Sicht nichts. Ich fühle mich dort sicher und als willkommener Gast.

We had a wonderful stay at Mövenpick Resort & Spa El Gouna. The hotel offers beautiful surroundings, excellent service, and a relaxing atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food was delicious. A perfect place for a relaxing vacation – highly recommended!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful stay at Mövenpick Resort & Spa El Gouna. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality and service were exceptional. A special thank you to Mr. Yehia at the reception for his warm welcome, professionalism, and kindness. He made us feel truly valued throughout our stay. The breakfast and dinner were excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options. The quality of the food was outstanding, and almost every dish we tried was full of flavor. We were also celebrating my friend's birthday, and the hotel went above and beyond to make it special. The team surprised us with a birthday cake and a lovely celebration at the restaurant, then sent another cake to our room the next day. Such thoughtful gestures made our stay even more memorable. All the staff members were incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive. Thank you to the entire team for an amazing experience. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to coming back!
