This was my first time in Cyprus and this is a truly amazing great hotel. The staff are so nice and welcoming and the hospitality is too good. As my flight was late the hotel offered snacks and drink which was a nice gesture. I booked the two restaurants pan Asian and Greek restaurants. I would like to give a special mention to Allia our host from Limki Tavern who was so incredibly kind and went out off her way to make sure all was ok for us. Also during breakfast was greeted warmly by Allia. The breakfast was nice and Allia would ask what wanted and would take the order for the omelette and bring it to the table. All the staff are so nice and friendly even when entering the restaurant for breakfast each morning . I also had a dinner booked at Orchids pan Asian restaurant and was welcomed by Prashant who gave s great service and was nice friendly and made sure our drinks were topped up. The food was great and even Raju the head waiter came over to ask if everything was ok . The main buffet evening meal was great. They don’t have loads of stations and the quality is of a high standard . I would say this is the best hotel I have ever stayed for hospitality and service by far . I cannot praise this hotel enough as they go above and beyond to make sure you have great stay. I cannot recommend this highly enough and this has been a truly wonderful experience. The hotel Is not huge and it’s very intimate and nice and decor of is nice . I will definitely be coming back soon. A great stay. Thank you so much

This hotel is wonderful for anybody looking for a relaxing stay and for who doesn’t really want to leave the hotel, they have everything with comfort and food. We ate in all the à la carte restaurants but my favourite was seven orchids but I have to say I felt a little rushed, they could have taken courses a little slower but lovely food. We also visited the Garabaldi Italian very nice but not so much for me. We also visited the Greek restaurant, very nice but some of the meze was a little strange. The breakfast buffet was very nice but found you had to wait a while for hot drinks and then sometimes when the coffee arrived it was lukewarm warm, not everything was always topped up either. Loved Alexandra’s bar apart from when the waiter tipped the tray and Coca Cola went over my son’s clothes and the waiter didn’t even apologise. I must congratulate the pool bar staff they were very good, had to wait a while for some of the food but I must say Joanna at the pool bar is fantastic, very good at her job. Reception staff and guest services were very good also and the bedrooms are very comfortable, I felt some of them needed a little decoration and refurb due to plaster cracks and the wall near the lift needed redecoration. Had a little incident in the pool one of the balls hit my son on the head after the pool rules are supposed to be no inflatables and no balls in the pool but when my husband informed the lifeguard he didn’t want to know. I felt the dumbed allocation is good but if you have a party of more than two it’s quite difficult to get them together and you kind of have to have the worst areas of what is left. Could never get a bed around the adult pool, perhaps you’re beds should be allocated compared to what room you have booked. I felt the balcony for a superior sea view room were very small and again needed a refurb, the beds were very comfortable but we had an issue with our wardrobe light stayed on during the night and there was a light in the wardrobe that kept flashing and making a loud clicking noise that was very annoying, we had to tell guest services and they changed it the day before we left. I haven’t been to Paphos since 2002 but I do feel it’s changed a lot and the party boats are very annoying with loud music blasting out every evening, so if you are looking for a very quiet evening you may not get it, the night before Ieft there was a party with a DJ happening by the castle and really loud music did not switch off until 12.00am, this can be annoying. A would rate the hotel only 4/5 due to a few issues but others like food are very good. Don’t think I will be rushing back to Paphos though it’s not how I remembered it a while back.

By far the best hotel experience my wife and I have had. Three pools, three different themed restaurants and fantastic food and service. Extremely clean rooms and a lovely sea front view. We are already booked for next year. Not far from the old town and harbour so ideally located. Big thanks to Jordan for his humour and hospitality also to the lovely Joanna at the pool bar. Cocktails have never tasted better 🍸🍸🍸

Alexander the Great Hotel is of a high quality. Brilliant location,excellent food/restaurants, friendly staff, cleanliness of hotel are all of a high standard. Providing a sunbed allocation is an excellent service. We would not hesitated in returning to this hotel

A very beautiful hotel make extra special by its staff. I would like to name a few who make this place great. Elena, Raju, Xenia, Yogesh, Anna Maria, Suman and rest. Old school hospitality, taking time to speak to guest and looking after them. Am sure it's lead by a very good team who have invested in training. Staff is what makes this place great. My kudos to all involved. Some tips for future visitors, pls book the speciality restaurant moment you land or may be before you arrive. They do get full very quickly. Raju looked after us and explained the menu like a pro in Asian restaurant. Elena and Xenia did her best to get us a table in Italian alas it was fully booked. Chef Yogesh recommended some very tasty dishes in the buffet. Book your sunbeds, it's done on a system which ensured what you want and no rush to get them in morning. Ordering food and drinks is very smooth, app, QR codes make it super easy and to your table or sunbeds. Main bar serves on a terrace with some amazing views. Matt took us for a walk to old church and along with Vlad was Entertainment Boss. Thanks for looking after us and if I have missed some of your lovely staff do pass our regards. S

Me and my partner booked this hotel to celebrate our 30th birthdays. This was my first time in Cyprus. This hotel was recommended to me by a good friend. The hotel was just as good as my friend stated. Upon arrival we were greeted at the desk and given a complimentary drink on arrival which was a nice touch. We had a limited sea view side room which was fine. The beds were soooo comfy! The room was a decent size and I was happy with the cleanliness of our room during our stay. The food at the hotel exceeded my expectations. The breakfast choice is outstanding, there is so much to choose from and all of the food tasted really good. The Garibaldi restaurant was absolutely amazing and so was the Seven Orchids Asian Restaurant. I would definitely recommend booking these two restaurants as soon as you can. We had the dinner buffet twice (Mexican Night and Cyprus Night) and the food was very nice at both nights. The Cyprus Night was so fun with the dancing entertainment. If you are there definitely go to the Cyprus Night buffet and get there at a reasonable time (so you can get a seat to watch the dancing). Excellent choice of food at breakfast and you get coffee included I.e filtered coffee, iced lattes, lattes etc and then you can get water and juice from the buffet. You can also order omelettes, eggs Benedict and poached eggs on toast. I love the pool and infinity swim up bar. The pool is a decent size and the sunbed allocation system is absolutely amazing - you can relax and not have to worry about finding a sunbed every morning. The staff were all so welcoming and nice at the hotel. We had some lovely drinks outside on the veranda overlooking the sea. I love that they bring you some olives, nuts and rice crackers when you order the drinks at the bar inside/on the veranda. Such a nice touch and the snacks are tasty! My partner proposed to me in Paphos whilst we were on our trip and he arranged a bottle of champagne and rose petals for the room and the guest services were very accommodating and helpful with this. Location of the hotel is great - took us about 10 mins to walk to the harbour. Not far from the airport either. The sunsets are AMAZING from this hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel, it is worth the money you pay for and I definitely hope to be back at some point!
