We stayed with two kids for 3 nights. The beachfront location is unbeatable—literally 30 seconds from the pool to the sand. Rooms were clean, staff was incredibly patient, and the breakfast buffet had enough variety for even our pickiest eater. Highly recommend!

We returned to Dom Jose Hotel after five years and were once again absolutely delighted with our stay. The hotel is exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and feels incredibly safe and welcoming throughout. The pool area is beautiful, with plenty of comfortable seating to relax and enjoy the surroundings. We also really enjoyed the breakfast each morning, and the lunches were delicious and very reasonably priced. One of the biggest highlights is the location ; the beach is literally just 100 steps away, making it perfect for a relaxing seaside holiday. Overall, we had another fabulous stay and were reminded why we loved this hotel so much the first time. We will definitely be back again in the future!

Great location, right on seafront promenade. We had sea view room on 5th floor with fabulous views. Room on the small side, but this wasn’t an issue. Updated bathroom with good shower and plenty of room for toiletries etc. There was coffee machine. Breakfast - plenty of choice, fruit, cereals, yoghurts, nuts, meats and cheeses. Hot choices too, as well as breads, pastries and little custard tarts, pastéis de nata, Bar and lounge area - beautiful, modern and roomy. Entertainment on several nights during our stay which was very good.

A quality hotel in a good location. Staff we encountered during our stay were consistently polite, friendly, helpful & professional. Excellent quality of food with a good variety to suit all tastes. Room was clean & comfortable with a nice sea view. Beds were comfortable and the room was cleaned every day. Social areas were always safe, clean and well maintained. A good compact gym was available for use by guests. Overall, excellent value for money and just a very pleasant, clean, comfortable and friendly hotel. Would definitely return in the future and highly recommend a stay to others.Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making our stay so comfortable, pleasant and relaxing.

Neste local a minha experiência foi boa mas o problema é que o acesso ao estacionamento é péssimo, tem garagem mas não se consegue entrar devido a uma carrinha e a comida para almoçar ou jantar era muito cara para os portugueses achei muito caro mas de resto a a não ser isto a experiência foi boa gostei do acesso à vista As pessoas são simpáticas mas é muito caro a comida A não ser isso recomendo irem obrigada.

Dom Jose Hotel is in an unbeatable location, and the hotel lobby bar and deck are absolutely excellent - so relaxing, clean, airy, and calm. You’re literally a stone’s throw from the beach, with a section assigned specifically to the hotel (although you’ll still need to pay a fee for renting loungers there). The pool is compact yet well designed within that compact space, just don’t expect a tonne of room during kid times. There are a decent number of loungers here too, some might find it a touch too cramped but the demand for loungers is there. The rooms are clean and modern with a decent amount of room and very comfortable furniture. Bathrooms are very clean and with nice modern equipment. A few minor complaints - the elevator situation is a bit of a problem at rush hours as there’s only two with many people trying to catch them, and the elevator system seems inefficient. No real stair access but if you’re above the 3rd floor that’s probably not an option anyway. The other complaint is the TVs in the room don’t allow casting - it’d be nice to be able to connect your phone and play music or movies, as many other hotels do offer. Overall this is one of those hotels where the 3-star rating is more about services not offered rather than quality — you’ll feel like it’s 4 star quality most of the time, and it’s a lovely place to stay.
