I would like to express my sincere appreciation to bartender Samuel and waiter Abdoul for their exceptional service and outstanding attitude. From the very first moment, they were incredibly kind, welcoming, and highly professional. They gladly recommended and introduced us to traditional Portuguese drinks, allowing us to discover local flavours and enjoy a truly authentic experience. Their friendly energy, great sense of humour, and natural communication created a wonderful atmosphere. It is clear that they genuinely enjoy their work and truly care about their guests’ satisfaction. Such dedication and passion are not something you come across every day, and people like Samuel and Abdoul turn an ordinary visit into an unforgettable experience. Um hotel que na minha opinião merece 5 estrelas, funcionários simpáticos, pequeno almoço imaculado, quarto espaçoso, piscina muito grande e uma limpeza que impressiona todos os dias. Definitivamente voltaremos a ficar aqui hospedados🙏

Wir waren Anfang Juni im Baia Grande. Das Hotel hat eine für Familien sehr schöne Lage, weil es nicht in der Innenstadt von Albufeira ist. Es ist sehr sauber und das Personal ist total super! Der Pool ist schön und der Ausblick wirklich traumhaft. Das Hotel ist in der Tat ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen, so manche Tapete und Scheuerleiste sind etwas lose. Aber es ist alles im einem durchaus sehr akzeptablen Zustand, wenn man nicht ganz pingelig ist. Empfehlung: lieber bei der Buchung ein paar Euro mehr in die Hand nehmen und ein Zimmer mit Blick zum Pool/ Meer nehmen. Der Ausblick lohnt sich! Das Frühstück ist eher ein britisches (Speck und Bohnen und Würstchen). Aber die Auswahl ist ausreichend, man kriegt auch Brötchen und Marmelade und es wird immer schnell aufgefüllt, wenn mal was leer wird. Tipp hier: Kaffee nur aus der Maschine ziehen, der schmeckt gut. Der vorgekochte Kaffee aus der Kanne war gruselig.

The hotel location is some way out of Albufeira, but that's no bad thing, in a way. A little more secluded than the hustle and bustle of party Albufeira. Only a short walk to a few small beaches. There are frequent free shuttles and lots of local places to dine, which are excellent. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff, they are very friendly and obliging. They even provided a birthday cake for my partner. A special mention for Diego in the piano bar, such a gentleman. The managers operate a very efficient and pleasant hotel.

Ende April 2026 waren wir für eine Woche im Hotel Bahia Grande. Wir fanden unser geräumiges Zimmer mit Blick Richtung Hotel -Parkplatz in einem super sauberen Zustand vor. Es war ruhig gelegen - für uns genau richtig. Auch das Bad war modern und sehr geräumig. Vom Buffet Restaurant aus, hatte man einen herrlichen Ausblick in Richtung Meer und konnte so ein tolles Frühstück genießen. Dabei fehlte es wirklich an nichts, war sehr abwechslungsreich und man konnte somit gut in den Tag starten. Das Hotel liegt abgelegen ca. 1Std 30min zu Fuß vom Hafen Albufeira entfernt. Es gibt einen Shuttle Bus vom Hotel zum Zentrum. Dieser muss jedoch vorher gebucht werden und kann leider nur acht Personen transportieren. Wir empfanden diesen Service umständlich und nicht ausreichend. Preiswerte Alternative - Taxi. Die nahe liegenden Klippen und der Strand, sind in etwa 20-30 min gut zu erreichen. Allerdings ist der Weg dort hin, nicht beschildert und das erste mal etwas schwer zu finden. Doch man wird dann mit einem tollen Anblick belohnt. Mit dem Bus besuchten wir Sagres (nord-östlichste Punkt) der Algarve, Lagos und Faro mit seiner großen Markthalle. Dort war auch eine tolle Bootsfahrt entlang der Klippen möglich, was für uns ein besonderes Erlebnis war und sehr zu empfehlen ist.
