I was very disappointed with my stay at Turim Marquês Hotel. Unfortunately, the WiFi did not work during my stay, which was extremely inconvenient. The room was also uncomfortably warm, and the air conditioning is centrally controlled, meaning guests cannot adjust it themselves. When we raised the issue, we were advised to open the window instead. However, the hotel is located directly in a flight path, so opening the window resulted in significant airplane noise throughout the night. In addition, the TV was not working upon check in and the maintenance person left the TV wires and module dangling in the room, which looked untidy and unprofessional. Additionally, the hotel advertises being 8 minutes from the airport, but it actually took around 30 minutes to reach, which was misleading. Overall, it was a sleepless and frustrating experience. I expected much better from a four-star hotel.

Booked a 4 star hotel and paid for breakfast. Guess what? You have to pay extra for fried eggs. Wow. And not so many choices on the breakfast. Coffee? There is no real coffee, just a machine that spits instant coffee. Rooms are old and dark. Bathroom is big but the shower is small, towels are old…

Besuch zum Halbmarathon. Service tendenziell unfreundlich. Das Frühstück ist - nicht nur für Läufer - eigentlich eine Zumutung. Brot kommt wenn überhaupt zögerlich. Gäste fanden auch solches noch innen gefroren. Generell wird zuwenig und zu langsam nachgeschafft. ImZimmer schaltet sich automatisch Radiomusik ein. Ohne Info wie man das abstellt.

This hotel is located near a well-known square and about a five minute walk from the beginning of the main shopping Street. The room I was in was very large, but had some strange features. There was absolutely no artwork anywhere and the walls were blank. There was a vestibule that had a couch and a table which faced the television. There were very few lights and it’s all seemed quite dark. You could not read a book by the lights beside the bed and I relocated a lamp that was on the desk so that I could. The bathroom was OK, but trying to work out. The tap system was difficult and very sensitive. It went from boiling hot to freezing cold with the smallest of touches. The plug in the bath would not seal, and so our bath was impossible. The pump, action, soaps, conditioners, and shampoos didn’t work, particularly well and had to be removed from their containers to be able to use. The staff seemed helpful and the buffet breakfast was a good quality and fairly varied. There was a mini bar and tea and coffee making facilities in the room. There was a safe and plenty of drawers and hanging space. The Wi-Fi was unreliable and slow. There is automatic piped music into the room and finding the control was a challenge at first, but it was situated beside the air conditioning. Overall a nice hotel.

Schönes Hotel mit geräumigen Zimmern, bequemen Betten, modernem Bad und gutem Frühstück. Leider lässt der Reinigungsservice zu wünschen übrig. Entweder man wird weit vor 9 Uhr durch ein Türklopfen geweckt oder es wird erst gar nicht gereinigt. Für ein teures 4-Sterne-Hotel ist nicht das nicht in Ordnung.

Das Hotel ist perfekt gelegen. Zu Fuss ist Vieles gut erreichbar. Soll es mal weiter weg gehen, sind beim grossen Marques de Pombal Platz Metrostationen und viele Busse vertreten. Die Zimmer sind sauber und hübsch eingerichtet. Bequeme Betten. Beim Frühstück wird auch jeder satt. Restaurants ums Eck, egal ob traditionell oder international.
