Das Hotel ist überschaubar und hat einen schönen Ausblick. Ich habe mich morgens gefreut, weil eine nette Frau vom Service hat mir extra eine kalte Schokolade gemacht, die es eigentlich nicht gibt. Ein Mann spielt Klavier beim Frühstück, was das Ambiente verschönert und es kamen Feriengefühle auf. Jedoch ist es mir teilweise mit den vielen Kindern zu viel geworden bezüglich der Hektik und Lautstärke direkt daneben. Die Möven sind oft am lauern, daher sollte man sein Essen gut im Auge behalten :) Ausserdem würde ich das Besteck gut anschauen, wenn man diesbezüglich heikel ist. Wir hatten mehrere Male dreckiges Geschirrr. Das Morgenbuffet war oft gleich, an Ostern gab es noch Eier Benedict und Pastel de Nata. Anfangs waren wir enttäuscht von der Bedienung an den Bars, wir mussten abends am Thresen bestellen gehen, weil wir quasi ignoriert wurden. Am nächsten Tag dasselbe an der Poolbar. Selbst ein Mann neben uns wurde mehrere Male gefragt, wie sein Essen schmeckt und wir konnten unseres noch nicht einmal bestellen, er musste dann auf uns aufmerksam machen. Vielleicht lag es daran, dass Osterzeit war... Da schien uns zunächst das Trinkgeld bzw. Servicecharge, die automatisch auf der Rechnung ist eher frech. Später wurde der Service aber wesentlich besser und zuvorkommender. Das Personal am Empfang war stets sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Unser Zimmer hatte keinen Meerblick aber der Vorderbereich des Hotels war ebenfalls schön, man hört die Frösche quacken und sieht auf den Teich Mir ist aufgefallen, dass das Hotel sicherheitstechnisch gut ausgerüstet ist, es hat sehr viele Feuerlöscher. Es gibt schöne Blumen und Wasserquellen im und rund um das Hotel. Anfangs lagen über mehrere Tage nasse Servietten im Garten, die aufgrund des Windes weggeweht und nicht weggeräumt wurden. Die Liegen am Strand waren gratis, vielleicht aber auch einfach da aktuell keine Hauptsaison ist. Das Hotel ist eher abgelegen, man muss 30min am Steg laufen bis man in der belebteren Umgebung ist. Die Autovermietung, welche das Hotel zu bieten hat ist zuverlässig aber auch eher teuer: 350 Euro für 2 Tage für den kleinsten Automatikwagen. Ein Auto ist aber essenziell um zu den sehenswerten Orten an der Algarve zu kommen. Wir hatten schöne Ferien und konnten unsere Auszeit geniessen.

Let me start with the positives. The hotel's location is stunning, and although the property is a bit dated, it is well maintained and has a charming appearance. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. However, there were some hiccups. Upon arrival (at 4 p.m.) our room was not ready and we had to wait. We received some vouchers for drinks for the wait but it is not something that you expect after a long trip. What disappointed us most was the food. Its quality was rather average overall. On some days it was acceptable, but on others it was well below expectations. Considering the price of the stay, it was also disappointing that even water was not included with dinner and had to be purchased separately. In addition, the restaurant's seating system seemed unnecessarily complicated and resulted in long queues both when entering and leaving the dining area. Guests first had to wait to be seated and then wait again to sign or pay for their drinks. There were also several occasions when we received the wrong drinks or did not receive the ones we had ordered at all. Overall, my biggest issue with this hotel is that it does not offer good value for the price. While there are certainly some strong points, the overall experience did not justify the cost. The hotel aspires for 5 stars but does not live up to it.

I stayed wc 8th June 2026. The welcome was fantastic. The rooms are spacious and have everything you would expect for this adversied standard of hotel. The reception staff were amazing we found Morgana and Isaias to be particularly attentive and ensured we were very well looked after and our requests met. When I first arrived I enjoyed a lovely massage in the spa and again the staff were fantastic, experienced and professional. I was celebrating my 50th birthday during my stay and it just so happened there was a 70s and 80s disco on my actually birthday. Turned out to be a very fun night. Despite there being a disco on one night during my stay it was finished by 11/12 can’t remember!! All of the entertainment was tastefully delivered to ensure different guest preferences were considered. Nothing went on too late into the night and I could not hear anything from my room at all even when there was entertainment on. I was also surprised with a birthday cake and sparkling wine in my room compliments of the hotel. Thank you to all those involved it was a lovely gesture and much appreciated. The food was good and everything well organised. The breakfast room had an amazing view and it was delightful to sit eating breakfast listening to the pianist. Actually the bar, the restaurant, the room, the pool area all had fabulous views. The pool was fantastic not too busy at all. The beach again amazing and easily accessible. It is a beautiful beach. I had a wish list before I booked my holiday and this hotel delivered everything I wished for and more, beach, pool, good food, excellent service, clean rooms, amazing view (I will cherish that view). Now I stayed with parents and daughter on this occasion however this is a brilliant location for a romantic getaway. Alvor town is very close you can walk along the boardwalk (can get a little windy in the evening). The taxi was only €5/6 to the town and lots of taxis available in the town to get back. Some lovely places to visit. Had a memorable holiday with my family in beautiful setting and great hotel. Thank you to all the staff at Pestana Alvor x

First time in the Algarve and we're not disappointed.. Alvor is delightful. The views over the sea front are lovely both from our hotel room and restaurant. Pool area is spacious with plenty of sunbeds, good sized pool too, it's true to say that the decking is in need of maintenance. Again the views from the pool are lovely with the beach below very inviting and don't worry about the climb down if you are not up for steps there's a very handy lift. Service has been very good and food varied and delicious not always as hot as you might like but it's buffet style and you have the option of show cooked food too. The hotel is a bit further out than we would have liked but we enjoyed the stroll along the beach side board walk, well worth the effort.

Las habitaciones son pequeñas y antiguas. La cama de matrimonio pequeña (135 cm) y el colchón malo, muy blando, notas los muelles. El resto del hotel bien, el desayuno aceptable aunque no a nivel de 5* (zumos industriales, fiambres malos, solo 1 día jamón que era regular... Lo.mejor del hotel es la ubicación frente a la mejor playa del Algarve, Playa de tres hermanos. Aunque para salir a dar una vuelta al pueblo (Alvor) hay que coger coche (unos 2,5 km).

Hotel muito bonito, situado num lugar encantador. O atendimento foi extremamente simpático e profissional, tanto na receção como no restaurante e na zona da piscina. A comida também é muito boa e tudo funciona na perfeição. É um lugar fantástico para descansar, relaxar e aproveitar as férias. Recomendo muito Bardzo piękny hotel, położony w urokliwej okolicy. Obsługa była niezwykle miła i profesjonalna, zarówno w recepcji, jak i w restauracji oraz przy basenie. Jedzenie jest również bardzo dobre i wszystko działa idealnie. To fantastyczne miejsce na odpoczynek, relaks i cieszenie się wakacjami. Gorąco polecam!
