We usually do three weeks in a self catering apartment however as we have two small kids we decided to try all inclusive for 17 days. On arrival Mario was very nice and professional at reception. Hotel is spotless and staff are so nice, Sofia was so nice in the bar and made us a fab coffee every morning. The food was a massive let down, we ate our evening dinner out alot of nights as the kids selection of food was just terrible. There's alot of food everywhere but it's cheap products and pretty much the same stuff all the time, even something simple like chicken nuggets are like rubber and tasted horrible. The swimming pools were so so cold, anyone we spoke to said the same thing, I asked at reception they just told me pools were not heated, my kids love swimming and were lasting max 15 mins in the quiet pool and they were in the big pool once during our whole stay it was just too cold to go in. The kids entertainers were brilliant unfortunately I didn't get there names but they are amazing at what they do. Cleber at reception was something else, helped us planning trips, he really couldn't do enough for us regarding anything we asked and always did it with a smile.

This hotel had everything we needed. Beware though, it is located out on a limb. To get to the Old Town and The Marina requires transport. Uber is about €5 each way to the Old Town and about €7 to the Marina. We never had to wait more than a few minutes. The hotel puts on a mini bus that operates on a first come first served basis and does not run in the evenings. The food options are comprehensive with lots of variations in cuisine. Sometimes the quality of cooking left a bit to be desired, especially in the meat department. A lot of the meat was a bit chewy and tasteless. Almost every fried egg was half fried so I decided to leave well alone. The kids section was basic and a little unimaginative. What there was for children was well presented and tasty enough. Got a bit boring after 10 days. The main pool was exceptional with a bar with friendly attentive staff. Plenty of sun beds most of the time. Even though the rules say that you can’t reserve a sun bed, obviously everyone did so anyway. Reserving started early at about 7.00am so someone in your group needs to be an early riser. The 7 water slides were great for adults and kids. The Animation Team were outstanding. Rafa & Lara stood out in terms of their warmth, humour and energy. The Moana show was amazing and all the kids were encouraged to take part and have fun. Daisy, our 10 year old loved every minute of it and wishes that we go back next year. Not because of all the facilities that the hotel boasts but more about the people that stood out in making our holiday special, The Animation Team. This hotel is not cheap, so for me it’s the little things that matter most. Do they really need to charge extra for the minor on site attractions like trampolines, bouncy play equipment or inflatable Balls that kids climb into on the pool (€7 for 5 minutes)? €5 for a child to get a candy floss seemed unnecessary to me. Just give the kids a candy floss. I suspect the items I’m questioning are outsourced to private individuals so that would explain it. Loved the roof top bar. Great views and nice and breezy on an evening. Would I go back? Yes I probably would. Good overall with friendly attentive staff. Once again a special shout out for the Animation Team, in particular Lara & Rafa

Not 4-star standard: An honest review from parents of a toddler All in all, this hotel is a far cry from its advertised four-star rating. If you have a child under five, I would advise avoiding it for the following reasons: The Sunbed Situation: Expect to stare at empty beds reserved by towels for 10 hours a day. The hotel doesn't police this, forcing us to shell out an extra €30/day for a cabana just to sit by the pool. Constant Upselling: Paywalls are everywhere. You have to pay extra for the kids' bouncy castle, access to certain restaurants, and standard drinks like cider (unless you pay an extra €16pp/day to upgrade to All-Inclusive Plus). Severe Noise Issues: Zero soundproofing. Corridor conversations are crystal clear, echoing from the far end of the floor you are on, also you will hear every footstep and scraped chair from the room above, making a good night's sleep impossible. Subpar Food: Breakfast is identical daily, featuring carton omelettes and hot dogs masquerading as chipolatas. Desserts are entirely flavorless. Lacking Decent Entertainment: The kids' activities were sparse. "Giant Jenga" turned out to be a 20-minute session with a two-foot tower made of rough, sawn timber. Or you could go to the giant sauna that is the kids tent near the bouncy castles to be roasting hot and underwhelmed. Distance: You won't be near to Albufuera's centre, with hilly terrain it is a trek to get anywhere decent. False Advertising: The hotel listing stated dry cleaning, but the service was completely unavailable.

FAB FIND!! First time visiting Portugal, came with my partner and toddler & parents. I could not fault the resort in any way at all, food is amazing with so much choice & available 24 hours a day. The hotel is unbelievably clean, the facilities are fab including a baby room with everything you need in it. It is about a 10 minute walk from the new town (strip) which was very handy! There is so much around the hotel. The staff were always friendly and nothing was too much for them. We can’t wait to return next year. Thank you for a fabulous week!

Staff, rooms and food get 5/5. However they have a ridiculous lift system. Trying to be too clever, resulting in 10 minute wait for a lift. The hotel lacks green spaces outdoor, everything is jazzed up and stimulating. Had a great time but very hard to relax. The play park needs to be at least 4 times bigger for accommodating the amount of guests. The kids club entertainment team worked so hard the whole time we were there. Like I say, the staff were incredible. I just don't think the facilities are big enough for the amount of guests.

The best hotel ive ever been to on holiday! My number 1 thing was that the travel cots actually have a proper mattress, been to many hotels and never had this so really appreciated it. Everything was great from start to finish. Food was amazing (and I have high standards). They do a different theme each night for dinner and I loved seeing what was going to be the show stopper dish at the top of the serving area each night. Great kids slides and play area. 5 lifts so never had to wait long. Rooftop view was incredible. Staff has always freshened up our room before noon. Well staffed and clean hotel. LOVED! the meal at the taberna, it would be a highlight. The bouncy castle was reasonably priced and the evening shows were great. Would definitely go back and recommend to everyone I know.
