We went to Lux* for our honeymoon and what a treat that was! The hotel and island are absolutely stunning and very well maintained. The staff! The nicest people I have ever encountered in a hotel, they made our stay extra special. Big shout out to Gabrielle & Ahmed who looked after us everyday. The manager and his wife also made this trip one of a kind with various thoughtful gestures. The hotel was near to fully booked but we did not feel the crowds at all - be it at the different beaches or restaurants. There are a lot of activities to do and, while I was scared of getting a bit bored spending 10 days there, the time flew by! We also went scuba diving for the first time and that was just wonderful! The marine life but also the service we received was outstanding. We met a lot of people who have come back to this place several times and we absolutely understand why! For our next trip to the Maldives, we will definitely come back!

Our stay at Lux* South Ari Atoll was wonderful. The island had so much to offer, lots of activities and it was just perfect. The staff were so welcoming, hospitality was great. Food was top class and as vegetarians we had lots of food options. A big thumbs up to Chef Subbunhi for talking to us and making sure everything was good, the food at MIXE and Senses were extremely good. We highly recommend this island to anybody traveling to Maldives.

Went here for our wedding anniversary. After a 30 min sea plane journey post flight, you reach Lux. It's a lovely resort with lots of activities and 8 restaurants and bars to try out. The staff made the place even more special going above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. The beaches were stunning, was happy to see it wasn't an unnatural blue unlike some of the other islands. The food at senses was exceptional. We had to skip the teppenyaki session at umami but the sushi truly felt delicious and very fresh. Seafood is the way to go in Lux. The room service was the highlight. The staff were very kind, and our arrangements at both our rooms felt special. Loved the ice creams at ici. Coffee is good at the cafe, not the capsules in the room. All their activities need prior booking and are subject to the weather. I would skip the whale shark snorkeling just because it felt borderline unethical. The bad, the meats, especially chicken was definitely not fresh. Beach Rouge true to its reviews was not great during dinner. We had lunch there which was much better. The Italian restaurant for all its premium exclusivity was okay. I was a little shocked in the difference in treatment between honeymoon and 1st wedding anniversary. We were in Lux Mauritius for our honeymoon and truly felt special there. 11 months later at another Lux and we were ignored during our anniversary as well. That was surprising. I didn't want (O or expect) an entire week of activities like the other lux, but some freebie for our anniversary would have surely made it memorable. We left feeling something was missing. They have a lot of celebration package that you need to book, which is probably why we didn't get any extra attention I assume (except for the happy wedding anniversary in our room). Tried to find that tressure hunt bottle for 6 days with no luck, I would just skip the activity unless you find it with no effort. We spotted turtles at the scuba dive from the island euro diver center and I was gifted a turtle by our hotel manager when he knew I was looking for a momento when we left. He also ensured that we had dinner when we had to skip a meal when I got sick one night. All that extra care was truly the best we have felt in terms of hospitality.

We give 4 * only ( really would have liked to give 4.5). Great island, quite large and long, excellent facilities, and service all around, depending on the booking class many restaurants included, great choice of drinks included in Restaurants and mini bar (recommend to book at least the All Inclusive option), excellent food in all restaurants. The fly in the ointment and reason for 4* - the island does not have a house reef (for snorkeling- these are too far away on both sides of the island and the resort organises boat trips to do so. Still...compared to some other resorts we have been that is really the only thing that bugged us.

We spent two weeks at the Lux with our family, and it was an amazing time. The resort met our expectations 100%, and we highly recommend it. The entire staff was great, but we would like to single out the following employees. We’ve just finished a fantastic stay at LUX* South Ari Atoll and had an excellent experience throughout. Before arriving, we were slightly unsure about choosing a larger resort, but we are very glad we did. Having now stayed here, we think we would have found a smaller island too limiting for a longer trip. LUX offered a great balance of variety, atmosphere and relaxation, while still feeling very personal. We stayed in a water villa and really loved the design — bright, modern and spacious, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows and the over-water net being standout features for us. The service across the resort was consistently excellent, and we also really appreciated the thoughtful touches the team arranged for my partner’s birthday. A special mention as well to Rimaah at East Market, who from day one remembered both our names and our morning drinks order. Her friendly and welcoming approach genuinely made our breakfasts feel personal every day. Thank you to the whole team for such a memorable stay.
