This was the most disappointing experience we had traveling in our lives. To start with, the photos on the website are there to scam customers because the reality is far from a 5 star ‘luxury’ experience. When you enter the lobby, there is a strong toilet smell. Moving on to the room, the towels provided are old and have stains, there is a moisture smell, everything is old and outdated, the slippers provided are pre used (not one use only). There is not even hair conditioner in the bathroom, only small bottles of shower gel and shampoo. When we went to the pool, the pool staff does not bring the towels, you have to set up your own sunbed and move it yourself, the pool area is not attended throughout the day ie there is no water or any drinks service provided. ‘Aqua yoga’ exercise was provided by pool staff who did not have any sort of qualifications and mocked the guests throughout. On the beach, there are no sunbeds or service, you swim at your own risk bringing your own towel etc. Breakfast was inedible with fruit flies all over the food. Bonus point is cockroaches at night all across the resort which again proves the cleanliness. This place is a rip off, we stayed for our honeymoon and paid more than the 5 star luxury experiences we had in Europe. Not even a ‘Happy honeymoon’ note let alone any sort of perks. Please do not book this based on the fake photos they have on their website as the place and the service is not even close to 5 star.

We stayed at the resort for two nights and had a wonderful time. The rooms are spacious, the water pressure in the shower is excellent, and the bathroom features a large bathtub. There are two swimming pools with water at the perfect temperature, and you can also enjoy a great cocktail by the pool. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this resort and would definitely stay here again! 🌴

Location was slightly deeper in, Overall very pleasant experience from the start till the end of the stay there. Facilities, room were very clean and thoughtful. Even the drying rack outside the balcony was placed at the only spot with sunlight. Special thanks to all the staffs whom made this an awesome experience for us.

I wouldn’t recommend this place. Considering the price and the fact that it’s rated as a 5-star hotel, the overall level is quite low. The room itself was excellent, but the cleanliness was below standard. The breakfast was okay, but the food at the lunch and dinner restaurants was very poor and not what you would expect from a hotel like this. The hotel is located far from everything. To get anywhere, you need at least a 10-minute drive, and if you don’t manage to catch a Bolt (which happened often), the taxi prices from the hotel are very expensive. There is a shuttle service, but it only runs at very specific times. The service at reception was average and not as welcoming as in other places. We also booked a private island tour through the hotel, and the service was very poor. We waited a long time in the sun for the transfer, and the boat driver didn’t even know what we had booked. Overall, it was not a good experience. The hotel has a sea view, but the beach is not really suitable for swimming. Overall, I would skip it.

I stayed at The ShellSea Krabi for one week and overall had a pleasant experience. The biggest highlight is the staff — incredibly kind, attentive, and always making you feel like a valued guest. The shuttle to Ao Nang is very convenient, and I appreciated the activities available, including paddleboards and kayaks. The pool staff were wonderful, and breakfasts offered a good variety. The pizza at the beach bar was also very tasty. On the downside (subjectively), both lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant did not meet my expectations. The food felt overpriced for the region and not particularly flavorful. Some menu combinations also seemed a bit unusual and didn’t work well in terms of taste. Overall, it was a nice stay thanks to the excellent service and welcoming atmosphere.

What a dream location. The ShellSea is a truly luxurious resort — the staff are warm and attentive, and the entire property is spotless and impeccably maintained. The Pool Garden Seaview Villa is incredibly spacious, beautifully designed, and offers a stunning view that makes you feel immersed in nature from the moment you wake up. The resort grounds are simply gorgeous. The hilly garden gently slopes down toward the beach, creating a peaceful, scenic atmosphere everywhere you walk. The swimming pools are beautiful and perfectly integrated into the landscape — ideal for relaxing during the day or enjoying the sunset in total tranquillity. We celebrated our wedding here, and I have to say that apart from a few small organisational issues during the planning process, everything on the wedding day itself went perfectly. Supattra and the whole team went above and beyond to make every moment special and seamless. Their care, attention, and professionalism made us feel truly looked after, allowing us to fully enjoy such an important day. If I had to celebrate my wedding again, I would choose this place without hesitation. One of the best resorts in Krabi — not only for the location and facilities, but for the people who make the experience unforgettable. Thank you for making our wedding such a special and memorable day.
