⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ Traumhafte Strandlage & wunderschöne Garden Villa – mit kleinen Schwächen 🌴☀️ Aufenthalt: 23.05.2026 bis 25.05.2026 (2 Nächte) Zimmer: Garden Villa 505 Wir hatten insgesamt einen wirklich sehr schönen Aufenthalt auf Koh Samui und würden das Hotel grundsätzlich definitiv weiterempfehlen – vor allem wegen der tollen Lage, der wunderschönen Anlage und des sehr freundlichen Personals. 🌴 Lage & Strand Das Hotel liegt etwa 30 Minuten vom Flughafen Koh Samui entfernt und ist gut erreichbar. Besonders beeindruckend war der wunderschöne Strand mit den großen Palmen direkt am Meer und dem traumhaften Blick auf Koh Phangan. Die gesamte Anlage wirkt gepflegt und ruhig – perfekt zum Abschalten. 🛎️ Check-in & Service Der Check-in verlief insgesamt recht zügig. Unsere vorab gesendeten Check-in-Daten wurden zwar anfangs offenbar nicht korrekt übernommen, aber das Personal war jederzeit freundlich, bemüht und hilfsbereit. Egal ob an der Rezeption, an den Bars oder im Restaurant – man hatte immer das Gefühl, dass sich alle wirklich Mühe geben. 🏡 Garden Villa 505 Unsere Garden Villa war sehr schön eingerichtet, sauber und auch mit zusätzlichem Platz für ein zweites Kind absolut ausreichend. Die Villa wirkte gemütlich und hochwertig gestaltet. Einziger größerer Kritikpunkt war die Klimaanlage: In der ersten Nacht hatten wir sie auf 16 Grad eingestellt, worauf sie irgendwann praktisch gar nicht mehr kühlte und das Zimmer nachts unangenehm heiß wurde. Das wurde von uns reklamiert und man hat sich auch direkt darum gekümmert. Interessanterweise funktionierte die Klimaanlage danach deutlich besser, sobald man sie auf etwa 20–21 Grad eingestellt hat. Vermutlich kommt sie mit zu niedrigen Einstellungen nicht gut zurecht. Danach war das Problem für uns weitgehend gelöst. 🏊 Pool & Fitnessbereich Der Hauptpool hat grundsätzlich eine tolle Größe und sieht optisch wirklich schön aus. Was uns persönlich allerdings gar nicht gefallen hat: Das Wasser war extrem warm – fast wie eine Badewanne. Gerade bei tropischer Hitze erwartet man eigentlich eine gewisse Abkühlung. Teilweise war das Meer sogar kühler als der Pool. Für uns war das tatsächlich der größte Minuspunkt des Aufenthalts. Positiv überrascht hat uns dagegen das Gym: modern ausgestattet mit hochwertigen Technogym-Geräten und sogar einem kleinen Boxring für Muay-Thai-Training. Wirklich sehr gelungen für ein 4-Sterne-Hotel. 🍽️ Essen & Preise Das Essen im Hotel war gut bis sehr gut, aber preislich teilweise extrem hoch. Unser Abendessen am ersten Abend mit einer Flasche Wein und drei Flaschen Wasser lag bei rund 256 €. Das Essen war lecker, aber nicht außergewöhnlich genug, um diesen Preis wirklich zu rechtfertigen. Auch einfache Getränke waren überraschend teuer: Zwei Singha-Biere kosteten inklusive Service Charge und VAT über 400 Baht, was umgerechnet über 11 € entspricht. Natürlich versteht man, dass Hotelpreise höher sind – dennoch war der Unterschied zu normalen Preisen außerhalb des Resorts schon enorm. Zum Vergleich: Im Supermarkt haben wir vier Bier für etwa 170 Baht gekauft. Auch Alkohol allgemein war sehr teuer. Gleichzeitig muss man aber sagen: Das ist eher ein Thema der Preisgestaltung und kein Qualitätsproblem. 🌺 Fazit Ein sehr schönes 4-Sterne-Resort mit traumhafter Strandlage, freundlichem Service und tollen Garden Villas. Besonders der Strand, die Palmenkulisse und die ruhige Atmosphäre bleiben positiv in Erinnerung. Kleine technische Schwächen bei der Klimaanlage sowie die extrem hohen Nebenkosten und der viel zu warme Pool haben den Gesamteindruck etwas geschmälert. Trotzdem hatten wir insgesamt eine schöne Zeit auf Koh Samui und würden das Hotel grundsätzlich weiterempfehlen – vor allem für Gäste, die Wert auf eine schöne Anlage direkt am Strand legen. 🌴

While Santiburi pretends to be “luxury”, it does not deliver on it. I HIGHLY recommend choosing another hotel that will provide a truly unique and luxurious experience. There are plenty on Koh Samui. Below are some of the most notable issues, although the hotel underdelivers in many other aspects as well. First of all, your villa will have no privacy at all. The yard is next to the walkways, so everyone passing by can see you both in the yard and inside your room through the panoramic windows. The room itself is very basic. Second big disappointment is a beachfront - it is very busy and crowded, no much options of available sunbeds. The sea itself is good though, good sandy beach, clean water, nice and easy waves, very comfortable to swim. Lastly, the hotel charges 800 baht if you order food from outside through a courier. Moreover, they block food delivery apps on their wifi. Imagine how petty and insecure they must be about their restaurants. Overall, this was by far the most disappointing stay we had on Koh Samui.

Booked the top Reserve category villa for 13 nights with our daughter. The grounds are lovely and the staff are genuinely warm — Thawatchai in particular responded quickly to emails before arrival. But this does not feel like a five-star resort at this price. The property is dated. The food and beverage operation is the weak point: the resort posts a notice at breakfast warning guests of a 15–30 minute wait during "peak hours" and advising you to come at 7am to avoid it. The optional half and full board packages cost more than ordering the same three courses à la carte from their own menus, and exclude drinks entirely. Activities are charged oddly. "Sunrise Yoga" is THB 500++ per person for a group class taught by the fitness instructor who also runs the Thai boxing and everything else, not a qualified yoga teacher. Other five-star resorts on Samui include group yoga free. The real problem is management. For our entire stay there was no empowered manager on site. We were told the General Manager was in Europe, and the only senior person available could not make any decision. When we raised a formal complaint through our tour operator, our concerns were relayed back inaccurately and we had to correct the record in writing. Beautiful setting, kind staff, but poor value and no one on site able to fix anything

WE actually stayed from May 26th to June 1st and liked it so much that we returend from June 5th to the 7th. We had two wonderful stays at your hotel and felt truly welcome from the moment we arrived. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive throughout our visit. A special highlight was the Muay Thai trial training session for our 8-year-old son, which he thoroughly enjoyed. We were also delighted by the appreciation that we returned to the resort very well recognized by the team and a hand-written welcome note by Director of Rooms, which added a very personal touch to our stay. The breakfast was excellent, offering a great selection and highest quality. Overall, everything was simply wonderful, and we greatly appreciated the warm hospitality. Thank you for making our stay so memorable.

There is honestly no hotel like this one. We stayed for a full week and enjoyed every single part of our stay. Everything was a 10/10, from the incredibly kind and attentive service, to the food, the facilities, the beautiful surroundings, and the location right by the sea. We really needed this holiday, and this hotel was exactly what we were looking for. It has such a peaceful atmosphere that makes it very easy to switch off and truly relax. We enjoyed the hotel so much that we barely felt the need to leave. One thing to keep in mind is that it is a little far from the main areas and attractions, so it may not be the best choice if you want to be in the middle of everything. But if you’re looking for a quiet escape, some privacy, and a place to genuinely disconnect, the location is absolutely worth it. We had an amazing stay and would happily come back.

I was there with my family for a day pass, and we had such a wonderful experience! We enjoyed breakfast and lunch and spent the day relaxing by the pool. The place is very family-friendly and great for children, with a big swimming pool and a lovely atmosphere. The service was also amazing—everyone was very welcoming and attentive. We really enjoyed our time there and will definitely come back again!
