Okay, overall the hotel seems fine, but there are way too many downsides. A lot of them. For example, you can’t book any restaurant because everything is already fully reserved. And if you need to bring 7 people or make a reservation for them, in the best-case scenario you’ll end up in the Mexican restaurant or the buffet 🤣. Another thing — the website says all bars open at 10 AM. Yeah right. If they open only an hour later, you should consider yourself lucky. Nobody here wants to work. The alcohol for regular guests is the cheapest possible. You have a purple bracelet, you see Herradura tequila, but the bartender lies straight to your face saying, “Sorry, we’re out.” Same thing with the sports bar. It’s supposed to open at 5 PM, but the bartender tells you directly that they actually start working at 6. Until you go to the lobby, talk to the manager, and make them place a phone call, nobody moves or does anything. The cherry on top was the reservation for our friend’s birthday. We booked the steakhouse for the celebration and added a note that there would be not 5 but 6 people plus a child. But when we arrived, guess what happened? Yep — nobody cared about the notes because they simply don’t read them. Period. I also want to add that in the middle of the night we had water leaking from the ceiling, and it took them an hour and a half to deal with it. So think a hundred times before coming here. Also, smoking is not allowed here, which nobody mentions or warns you about. But for every situation, their answer is always: “It’s the law of Mexico, not the hotel.” Which is a lie. They basically spit in your face and tell you it’s rain. They completely ruined the mood for our friend’s birthday, period. Nobody wants to make an effort to fix anything, whether with money or without. So if you meet of the problems in my story and you read till the end please like it and change something in this place with your review.

This resort is truly breathtaking, and my wife and I had the privilege of celebrating our wedding there. To say it was beautiful would be an understatement. The food, décor, and service were absolutely five-star. I would especially like to give praise to our wedding coordinator, Michell Jacobo, who made our wedding incredibly special and made the entire planning process feel effortless. If you are hesitant about planning a wedding here, I strongly recommend reaching out to her—she is truly amazing at what she does. I would also like to thank Fabricio from the entertainment department for being so wonderful and helpful to all of our guests throughout the trip. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

We booked for a family privileged swim up suite. you had the option of a king room, bunkbeds, and a sofa bed or a room with two queen beds, bunkbeds, and a sofa bed. When we checked in we were told the king room was available when we got there, it wasn’t and there was no bunk beds. Had to wait to next day to accommodate 5 of us Housekeeping *Limited towels to one per person *No extra allowed *Two face clothes two hand towels Asked so many times for extra and hand towels as toilet sprays out all over on to floor and need to use towels to clean up. Constantly calling for towels. *Limit two extra pillows (we have 5 people) Bunk beds had one pillow Two tvs (one for each room) You get one remote to control both and have to go back and forth Weird beads all over bed - see photo They wanted you to rent towels to take for excursions. Restaurants and alcohol No cocktails in buffet restaurant allowed to order Saddest room service options Ordered room service quesadilla - see photo Absolutely horrible No late night options for desert or food outside of room service - Closes at 10:00/10:3 all buffet and coffee shops We called down and was told buffet and coffee shop closes at 11:00, We walked down and they close at 10:00/10:30? Alcohol *Spicy margaritas consist of Tabasco sauce Bartender handed it and said made extra spicy 😂 *Only Mexican beer available is corona *No top shelf liquor *no water bottles - only huge glass bottles that are inconvenient- see photo. Not allowed to order bottle water at pool or restaurants. Only given in room. Can’t take for excursions. *no bar past 11pm unless sports bar In the mini bar, they give one pack of cookies we asked for extra packs of cookies. The housekeeping gave it to us, but then we received a phone call that it’s only one pack per day so for a family of five you get one pack of cookies. So what did they check her cart? Positives The hotel is clean and modern, ac works Grounds clean. Working staff is polite The teppanyaki restaurant was the best. Great food and cook. Rest of restaurants and buffet were decent, nothing special but had options for everyone. Fresh stations (omelette etc.) were always best So many rules and restrictions. However after complaining and asking many many times. By third day we had pretty much what required of the small things. For kids first time at resort we still had a lovely time. We travel a couple times a year to Mexico and definitely not use to all the restrictions and rules. When you pay for the upgrade privileges, it shouldn’t be so difficult to as for towels etc. we won’t be back to this resort and we have had better experiences elsewhere, but it was still a great first time for the kids.

We had such a wonderful 8 day stay at Catalonia Grand Costa Mujeres! The Grand Caribe buffet had a great variety of fresh and delicious food, but what really stood out was the amazing service from Patricia Sanchez, Cynthia Ojeda, and Karia Cruz. They were always so kind, welcoming, attentive, and made us feel truly taken care of. Honestly, these ladies deserve a raise for sure!❤️ They made our experience even more special, and we would absolutely love to come back!

Nous avons séjourné une semaine dans cet hôtel et avons passé un excellent séjour ! Le service est vraiment exceptionnel. Un grand merci à Aracely, serveuse au bar de la piscine Margarita, qui a toujours le sourire et qui est très professionnelle. Merci également à Victor et Hector, du spa, pour les massages au bord de la piscine, ainsi qu’à Fabrizio et Paulina pour les cours de sport (aquagym, Pilates et spinning) que nous avons beaucoup appréciés. De manière générale, un grand merci à l’ensemble du personnel du buffet ainsi qu’aux femmes de ménage. Les chambres sont toujours impeccables et tout le personnel est aux petits soins. Le buffet est de qualité et toutes les infrastructures et activités proposées sont vraiment très bien : piscines, plage, restaurants, bars, salle de sport, programme d’activités, spectacles… Tout est propre et très bien entretenu. Le service proposé est vraiment sans faute ! Nous recommandons vivement cet hôtel, que ce soit pour un séjour en famille, entre amis ou en couple. Grâce à toutes ces personnes, nous avons passé une excellente semaine et repartons avec de très bons souvenirs. Merci à toute l’équipe ! ☺️

Belem was an amazing animator! She was very hospitable, courteous, and welcoming from the moment we met her. She gave us lots of helpful information about all the entertainment programs and activities happening throughout the week, which made it so much easier to plan our stay. Her positive attitude and excellent customer service really made a difference. Thank you, Belem, for making our vacation even more enjoyable. Excellent service!
