Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing and poorly handled from start to finish. On the first morning, we arrived at the hotel at 10:20 a.m. and were told that we could still have breakfast. However, at 10:27 a.m., the staff already started clearing everything away. We barely managed to get a single coffee and whatever little food was left on the buffet. The buffet was almost empty and was removed very quickly, which made the offer of breakfast feel misleading and unfair. On our last day, I felt very sick. Because of this, we asked the hotel if they could at least reduce the price for the first breakfast, as we had practically nothing to eat. The staff refused. We then tried to find a compromise and suggested paying the full price in exchange for being allowed to stay in the hotel until 2:00 p.m. This was also strictly refused. As a result, I now have to spend around five hours waiting and sleeping in the hotel lobby while feeling unwell. The staff showed no flexibility, no understanding, and no willingness to help. To make things worse, we were not even allowed to speak to the manager or hotel owner. Overall, the customer service was extremely rigid, unhelpful, and unfriendly. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who expects basic fairness, empathy, or reasonable communication.

Hotel in una posizione fantastica a due passi da San Pietro, camere abbastanza standard. Tuttavia assolutamente inaccettabile che un’altra ospite sia potuta entrare nella camera in cui alloggiavo, mentre ero dentro e con una chiave elettronica che riportava lo stesso numero di camera. Se fossi in voi rivedrei attentamente i vostri processi interni dato che privacy e sicurezza dovrebbero essere le prime cose.

I thought our 8 night stay at Hotel Della Conciliazione was a wonderful experience. We chose this hotel specifically for its proximity to the Vatican. It’s within walking distance to the other tourist sites. We had two different rooms on the third floor and both were decent sizes. The hotel property and rooms were clean and kept up. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. While sitting in the lobby, unintentionally, we witnessed another guest displeased with a situation that occurred. The front desk employee and the manager handled the situation professionally. We ate at the different restaurants located outside the hotel and the food was good. I didn’t feel like the restaurants were “tourist traps”. There’s also some good gelato places on the same street as the hotel. When we needed a taxi and a shuttle to the airport, the front desk staff helped set it up for us. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Della Conciliazione and would recommend it to anyone coming to Rome.

The Hotel Della Conciliazione is a very pretty hotel in a very convenient location in Rome, practically next to the Vatican. We were able to go Pokémon hunting in the afternoons and evenings and enjoy the different times of day in Saint Peter’s Square. My spouse was impressed with how close it was to (walking within steps) Castel Saint Angelo and Saint Peter’s Basilica. The staff at the front desk, wait staff, and the bartenders were very friendly and helpful. Flavia and Romona were very helpful in getting us shuttles (car service) from the cruise terminal port and the airport. They saved us a lot of money compared to others who just took an Uber or a taxi. The breakfast buffet was really great. Dried fruit, yoghurt, six different kinds of cake, several types pastries and danishes, sausages, cold ham and cheeses, granola, scrambled eggs, and hard-boiled eggs. Freshly ground coffee, cappuccino, or espresso on demand (espresso machine). The waiters and waitresses were very nice and would get me soy milk to drink my coffee. One oddity was that additional coffee pods (for the in-room Nespresso-type machine) had to be bought from the front desk for 1€ each. There was a bar in the lobby, and we often would hangout in the lobby with drinks and played uno with the kids. You get a plate of potato chips with your drink. There was a drink menu, and I tried a Negroni, an Americano, and the Belvedere. My spouse had Italian beers. The bartender was very friendly and handsome. He said that I may post his picture. He was friendly and helpful whenever I wanted ice. I liked the bathroom. It was very clean. We visited during the height of summer, during a historic heat wave, and as sweaty Americans, we wanted very icy air conditioning. I think the AC was working fine (24 degrees C or about 75 degrees F) but just not to the level we would expect it to be (72 degrees F). It is in a very touristy location, but we are tourists. There are several gelato shops down the street, and many restaurants were happy to cater to tourists. Were these the tastiest restaurants—no, not all of them. Some were surprisingly good.

This was the first hotel we stayed at in Italy. Flavia in the lobby was helpful and sweet. Our room was on the top floor with an upgraded balcony. The room itself could have been a little cleaner as there were bugs on the ground and little ants in the bathroom and some areas of the room. Breakfast buffet was okay to have a quick bite in the morning. The location was awesome if visiting the Vatican / Piazza Navona as they were a quick walk away. I would recommend this hotel if staying in Prati.

Location is great. Service was subpar. We had to ask many times for simple requests like extra towels. Rooms are a bit small, but that is to be expected in old European cities. I wouldn’t stay here for long periods pf time. Three nights or less and it’s fine.
