Drei Nächte im Juli – und das Kompas hat uns rundum überzeugt. Das Hotel ist modern und wertig gestaltet, ein echtes Designhotel, das in der Lapad-Bucht schon von Weitem heraussticht und präsent am Hang liegt. Was uns aber am meisten beeindruckt hat: die Mitarbeiter. Durchweg serviceorientiert, hilfsbereit und herzlich – vom Check-in bis zum Abschied. Das Auto wird einem sogar geparkt. Die Poolanlage ist top, der Strand liegt direkt vor der Tür, und abends an der Bar herrscht eine richtig schöne Stimmung. Die Lage in Lapad ist ideal: ruhiger und entspannter als die Altstadt, die mit dem Bus trotzdem schnell erreicht ist. Klare Empfehlung – hier stimmt einfach das Gesamtpaket.

We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Kompas and would especially like to highlight the outstanding customer service. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the staff genuinely care about their guests and place a very high value on customer satisfaction. Everyone was friendly, professional, and highly solution-oriented. When we checked in, we were assigned a room that was designed for guests with disabilities. As we would have preferred a standard room, we asked whether it would be possible to change rooms. Unfortunately, the hotel was fully booked and no other room was available. Instead of simply telling us that nothing could be done, the manager went above and beyond to find a solution. He offered us the opportunity to move to their second hotel, which we gladly accepted. This level of flexibility and commitment to guest satisfaction was truly impressive and greatly appreciated. Both the hotel and the room were exceptionally clean, well maintained, and comfortable. The view was absolutely beautiful and made our stay even more enjoyable. We would like to thank the entire team for their dedication, professionalism, and willingness to help. Experiences like this show what excellent hospitality is all about. We would happily recommend Hotel Kompas and would not hesitate to stay with them again in the future.

I’m currently 1 night into a 4 night stay. I’m not sure how this qualifies as a luxury hotel. Room is very small, barely enough room to open suitcases. Essentials I’ve gotten at luxury hotels not provided like Q tips. Super small tv. Bathroom has a foul smell. I asked front desk to have someone clean it while we were out of the room - no one came. Had to call them multiple times. Phone didn’t work. Also found multiple pieces of hair when we first entered the room. They also didn’t provide any water and when we asked them to send bottles, they said to use the minibar which is 5 euro for a small bottle. Location is not convenient - Ubers required everywhere and they take a while to come. The beach view and access is nice but it’s rocky and very hot outside. Very few restaurants / stores around everything’s a long walk away in the sun. We stayed for 2 nights already at the Sheraton which was far better in every aspect.

Nous venons d'y passer une semaine. Il est important de prendre la demi pension car cela donne accès aux repas a la carte ( entrées/plats/desserts) . Les chambres sont propres. Le personnel très accueillant. La vue sur la mer depuis le 10 ème est sublime. La plage est à côté mais de galets . Piscine petite mais il y a toujours assez de place , et froide mais idéale pour les fortes chaleurs. Les cocktails sont un peu chères. Mais l'expérience fut réellement satisfaisante. Proche bus 6 pour aller a la vieille ville , et Promenade romantique a proximité.

Excellent from start to finish. Clean and efficient, you even get chocolate delivered to your door every night. Whoever is in charge of operations here needs a pay rise. The only tip I would say is don’t get a taxi through reception, it’s nearly doubled a uber. We would recommend to anyone.

We have just returned from a wonderful 10-day holiday at Hotel Kompas, and it exceeded our expectations. The hotel itself is fantastic. Every member of the team was attentive, friendly, helpful and professional, with a special mention to Ivan, who made our stay even more enjoyable with his exceptional service. We stayed in a Deluxe Sea View room, which was spacious and offered absolutely breathtaking views across Lapad Bay. Waking up to that view each morning was a real highlight of our trip. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh, delicious options to suit every taste. While we found the à la carte menu a little limited, everything we ordered was of a very high quality. The pool area was lovely—clean, relaxing and never felt overcrowded. The hotel's location is perfect, right on the promenade and within easy walking distance of numerous excellent restaurants. Be sure to visit the Cave Bar More, which is an absolute must. Overall, we had an amazing stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hotel Kompas to anyone visiting Dubrovnik. We look forward to returning in the future.
