I have tried high tea platters at several hotels in Colombo, and Marino Beach Hotel offers one of the best in terms of value for money. The price is very reasonable compared to many other hotels, and the variety of food is excellent. There was a great selection of both sweet and savory items, and everything we tried was fresh and delicious. I honestly couldn't find anything that I didn't enjoy. The atmosphere was pleasant, making it a great place to spend an afternoon with family or friends. The service was good overall, but I feel there is room for improvement. The staff could be a little more attentive to guests during the dining experience. The only thing that disappointed me was the drinking water policy. Instead of providing complimentary drinking water, we were asked to purchase bottled water from the hotel. The same bottle that costs around Rs. 70 outside was priced at around Rs. 450 after taxes, which felt excessive. It would be a much better experience if guests enjoying the high tea platter were offered complimentary drinking water. Despite that, I would still highly recommend Marino Beach Hotel's high tea platter. The quality, variety, and value for money make it one of the best high tea experiences in Colombo.

Overall, I had a good stay at Marino Beach Hotel. The hotel is clean, modern, and well maintained. The staff were genuinely kind, welcoming, and always willing to help. I also appreciated the private beach and the complimentary city tour, which was a nice bonus. The only downside for me was the food. This is very personal, as I’m quite picky with food, so it simply didn’t match my taste. Also, if you don’t like spicy food, keep in mind that many dishes in Sri Lanka are quite spicy. Before leaving for the airport, I asked the staff to help me arrange a taxi from the city because the hotel transfer was quite expensive. They kindly assisted me, and I was able to pay by card. Unfortunately, during my trip I became a victim of online fraud unrelated to the hotel. After entering my card details for a Booking.com reservation, I unexpectedly had around 700 AED charged through Agoda. Coz agoda under booking This so sad I immediately blocked my card, but this incident affected my overall impression of the trip to Sri Lanka. Despite this experience, my stay at Marino Beach Hotel itself was pleasant thanks to the friendly staff, cleanliness, and great location.

This is an overall nice hotel that works well as a convenient stopover before a flight, highlighted by a large and well-equipped gym. However, the experience had a few drawbacks: the room felt a bit old and dated, the pool was quite chilly, and the Jacuzzi was disappointingly cold—missing its primary purpose of being warm. Overall, it is an adequate place for a short stay, but improvements to the room conditions and water temperatures are definitely needed

We had our wedding at Marino Beach Hotel on May 14 as an evening function and we couldn't be happier with our experience. The service was outstanding from start to end. Every detail was handled with great care and professionalism and everything was delivered exactly as promised. A special thank you to our coordinator, Pasindu for his incredible support throughout the planning process and on the wedding day. He was always helpful, responsive and made sure everything was perfectly organized. His dedication and attention to detail made our special day stress free and memorable. We are truly grateful to the entire team at Marino Beach Hotel for making our wedding so beautiful. We highly recommend Marino Beach Hotel to anyone looking for a perfect wedding venue with exceptional service.

We had an amazing two-day stay at Marino Beach Hotel and loved every bit of it! The infinity pool was absolutely stunning and one of the highlights of our stay. The staff were incredibly polite, friendly, and always willing to help. A special thank you to Mr. Udara, who went above and beyond to introduce us to the different labelled tea varieties and made the experience even more memorable. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality. We will definitely be back and highly recommend Marino Beach Hotel to anyone looking for a fantastic stay in Colombo!

I would like to say that I was very satisfied with your hotel's service. Me and my friends evening went without a hitch. The staff was super friendly and polite and the food was delicious. The dining area was very clean and tidy. We had a great experience and an amazing time. Thank you to the staff and the amazing chefs who made our evening joyful. I look forward visiting Marino beach hotel again.
