We paid 20k for a day room, but no towels, pillows, tissues, or even drinking water were provided. When we asked about it, we were told it was "only a changing room." If that's the case, why charge 20k for it? To make matters worse, when we asked for towels at the pool, we were told they wouldn't provide any. We stayed in a suite which was very spacious and comfortable. The hotel has a very large pool and is adjacent to the beach which is fairly clean. The meals were very good and had a lot of variety and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The "hands on" approach and constant presence of the Resident Manager was exceptional and admirable. it would be better if they had a few more sport recreational activities. altogether a superb Hotel

An absolutely beautiful hotel and surrounding areas. The staff are really attentive and professional. My room was cleaned everyday and the buffet was the best. Pros - The pool - The scenery and the wildlife - The buffet - The staff - The cleanliness - Friendly dogs and cats - The pool attendants were attentive - The rooms are quiet - The music isn’t loud Cons - Wine and zero sugar drinks should be included in the all inclusive package. - Not many cocktails included. - The set menu is the same thing everyday and I preferred the buffet as I don’t like to waste food and to have a variation. The food was perfect on my last night, a variety of veg curries and first pizza I’ve seen in 2 weeks. - Staff should not be ringing me late at night to tell me that dinner will be finishing at 10pm - Would be nice to have some herbal teas on offer. - The dogs had various tics and open wounds that weren’t paid attention to during my stay. - My room had rainwater leaking through the walls. Overall I would definitely stay here again maybe for a shorter stay and not two weeks. I understand that it is low season for tourism but I wish the set menu was more varied and properly advertised. The manager was friendly and introduced himself to each guest which was great. On my last day I witnessed a member of the garden team throw a rock at one of the dogs which was really upsetting to see.

One of the best experience I had at Suriya Resort to celebrate a birthday. I booked a suit and hotel arranged birthday decoration and cake free of charge. Suit rooms are spacious and comfortable. Got a nice big pool and beach right infront. We enjoyed their ala carte menu a lot specially sea food items. It is wonderful to see SL businessman managing this hotel property nicely over years amidst many economic challenges. Cheers Suriya Resort for many more years to serve.

My friends and I stayed at Suriya Resort last year during my recent visit to Sri Lanka, and unfortunately the experience was quite disappointing. The food and the location were genuinely excellent, tasty dishes with a good variety, and plenty of beautiful spots around the property to relax and take photos. However, the service fell well below what you’d expect from a 4‑star resort. From the moment we arrived, we were overlooked while foreign guests were attended to promptly. As a Sri Lankan, I have no issue with tourists receiving good service, but it was disheartening to see locals being treated with noticeably less respect. I even had to ask for our welcome drink, which should have been offered without question. At the buffet, we repeatedly had to request water and cutlery. Later, we made a simple request through reception for something to be sent to our room, two hours passed with no update, and when we followed up, we found out the request hadn’t even been communicated. On top of that, the balconies were dirty, the fridge didn’t work in one room, and the AC wasn’t functioning in another. These are basic checks that should be sorted before handing over room keys. I’m not someone who complains over small issues, but the way we were treated purely for being a group of local boys was disappointing. I eventually spoke to the manager, who was understanding, apologised sincerely, and ensured the service improved afterwards, and it genuinely did. But it shouldn’t take a complaint for guests to be treated properly. Overall, the resort has great food and a beautiful setting, but the selective treatment is something future guests should be aware of. I would still recommend the place for its location and dining, but I hope the management addresses these service inconsistencies so all guests are treated equally.

Při výběru této lokality člověk nevěděl co může od Srí Lanky očekávat. Dnes můžu říct že je to úžasná země . Lidé jsou zde velice přátelští a dobrosrdeční . Co se hotelu týče tak za mě 10 ⭐. Obsluha výborná všude čisto a hlavně přátelská atmosféra . Jídlo splnilo očekávání. Výborně vychucené sice ostřejší ,ale tak nějak jinak než u nás když se o to pokusí český kuchař. . Prostě tuto zemi i hotel doporučuji .
