We spent a few days at R Degrees and had a lovely time over Christmas with family. We received a warm welcome, the rooms were spacious and very clean, and the food was delicious. The pool is lovely and overlooks the ocean, making it a perfect place to relax. The hotel also has a spa, where Mrs. Tharanga truly helps you unwind with her wonderful Ayurvedic massages. A big thank you to Mr. Sachin, the Manager, and his entire team for their excellent service and constant attention, as well as to the Chef de Cuisine. A special thank you to Devinda, who took great care of us at the restaurant. We will definitely be back soon.

A perfect escape for a relaxing weekend! The entire experience at R Degrees Ambalangoda was incredibly calm and peaceful exactly what you’d want when looking to unwind. All the facilities were exceptionally well maintained, making the stay comfortable and stress-free. What truly stood out was the hospitality. The staff were genuinely friendly, supportive, and courteous throughout. A special mention goes to Mr. Thilak, Sachin, Shihan, and Prarthana for going above and beyond to ensure everything was just right. The atmosphere was simply amazing serene, refreshing, and filled with good vibes. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway.

We booked this hotel on the 15th and 16th of April to spend the Avurudu vacation. It’s a very beautiful place with friendly and welcoming staff. The rooms were comfortable, and overall it was great value for money. Highly recommended.

We deliberately chose this higher-priced hotel to enjoy our last two days in Sri Lanka. Unfortunately, we were in for an unpleasant surprise on the very first day: it was raining heavily into my room (just a few centimeters away from my camera equipment). After I reported this to the staff, I was assigned a different room for the night after a short wait. Here, too, rain was dripping through the ceiling; it was clear that several attempts had already been made to make the roof watertight using tape. So I had to change rooms once again late in the evening. In what was now my third room, I then noticed that all the pillowcases were heavily soiled. The pillows themselves were old and looked moldy. The next morning, I asked an employee to speak with management and offer me a discount for the unpleasant night and experience. The only discount consisted of not charging us for the three juices we had drunk the previous day. Especially considering the above-average room rate and the supposedly high standards the hotel claims to have, I found this very unsatisfactory. I did not feel comfortable as a guest and therefore cannot recommend this hotel.

Un joli petit hôtel de 10 chambres, calme et face à une magnifique plage sur des kilomètres et sans grand monde. Un joli jardin et une formule all inclusive au top avec un choix différent de menu chaque jour (et plusieurs propositions) servi à table. Un personnel aux petits soins,des serveurs très gentils et souriants, notamment Naveen. Un tres bon séjour balnéaire passé ici en couple après un circuit sur toute l'île. Détente et bien être assurés
