I recently dined at Amari Colombo and had a mixed experience. To begin with, the staff were friendly, courteous, and very helpful throughout our visit, which was greatly appreciated. However, for a five-star hotel in Colombo, I believe there is room for improvement in catering to guests' basic needs. When we requested iced water, we were informed that only warm water was served complimentary and that if we wanted chilled water, we would have to purchase a 500 ml bottle. Not everyone prefers to drink warm water with their meal, and this was quite surprising. I have dined at many five-star hotels in Colombo, other hotels around Sri Lanka, and even abroad, and this is the first time I have encountered such a policy. The food was also inconsistent. The roasted lamb was extremely undercooked—far too raw to be enjoyable. On the other hand, I must compliment Chef Rush, who prepared an outstanding Spaghetti Carbonara. It was perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and easily the highlight of the meal. Overall, while the excellent service from the staff and Chef Rush's delicious pasta deserve recognition, the disappointing food quality and the hotel's water policy significantly affected our experience. Considering the price of over Rs. 8,000 per person, I did not feel that the overall experience offered good value for money.

We had a wonderful stay at Amari Colombo. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and modern, with comfortable rooms, excellent facilities, and a great atmosphere. The food was delicious, and the overall service was very good. A special thank you to Vimukthi from Room Service, who was friendly, professional, and always provided excellent service. He made our stay even more enjoyable with his kindness and attention to detail. The only suggestion I have is that when families book multiple rooms together, it would be helpful if the rooms were assigned on the same floor from the start. Initially, our rooms were on different floors, but after we requested a change, the staff accommodated us the very next day. We really appreciated their quick response and willingness to help. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend Amari Colombo to anyone visiting Sri Lanka. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay memorable!

I stayed at Amari Hotel a while ago and had a really pleasant experience overall. The hotel has a great atmosphere, the rooms are comfortable and well maintained, and the location is super convenient. Everything felt clean, calm, and well organized, which made the stay very relaxing. The staff in general were friendly and helpful, and housekeeping did a great job throughout my stay. I’d especially like to mention Abilasha from housekeeping, who was very polite and attentive whenever we crossed paths. Small gestures like that really add to the experience. Overall, a great stay and a hotel I’d happily recommend.

Excellent place an people ..Breakfast is superb ...commend young servers who are attentive and pleasant ...Malidu . Also great Pahana lounge ...staff amazing . And gym and sauna,.steam room and jacuzzi facilities very good...slight issues with hooks for hanging robes but again staff were very attentive and acted. Reception staff were amazing and very helpful and can do...also kudos to management. For encouraging this approach to customer satisfaction and service . I will return to this great place. Thoroughly enjoying so far. Pahana Lounge representative Sithumini is an excellent hostess ...recommended great refreshing an healthy herbal teas. Very pleasant and accomplished and smart and very pleasant . one of a few great reasons for returning to this establishment .

Wonderful Dinner Experience at Amari Colombo Had a wonderful dinner experience at Amari Colombo. The food was delicious, with a great variety of dishes, and the ambience was elegant and relaxing. A special mention to Isuru, who provided exceptional service throughout the evening. He was very attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with a genuine smile. His excellent hospitality really made our dinner more enjoyable. Overall, a fantastic dining experience with great food, beautiful ambience, and outstanding service. Highly recommended!

The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. Everything was handled so professionally, which made our special day even more enjoyable and stress-free. Our stay at the hotel was comfortable and relaxing, and we were very happy with the room and overall hospitality.
