Disappointing stay – not worthy of a 5-star rating We stayed in an ocean view suite, and unfortunately the room was poorly maintained. I’m attaching photos for reference. • Found bluebottle flies: one inside the shower cubicle and another in the living room. • The balcony glass fence was shattered, which is extremely concerning, especially for families with toddlers. • Curtains were ripped and poorly stitched — it looked like an unprofessional DIY fix rather than proper maintenance. • Hair was found in multiple areas, including the bathtub and bed side table and many other. • Sticky coffee mug stains were left on the bedside tables and other surfaces, along with several other cleanliness issues. Considering the premium price paid, the overall experience was not worth the cost at all and did not match the expectations of a luxury stay. Breakfast was acceptable, and the staff were polite. However, staff members were often engaged in long conversations and gossip, which caused delays — I had to keep on look for sometime to get attention. On a positive note, the kids’ room was well managed, the location is excellent, and overall staff attitude was good. That said, this property does not meet 5-star standards. It feels like there’s still a long way to go before it can genuinely claim that positioning.

Layout of the suite that we stayed was not suitable for family stay, room were not cozy and not clean, we booked a triple room and when we arrive there, there wasn’t an additional bed, we had to ask for it, bed was set up and one of the pillows were pulled in from the master bed, which wasn’t the nicest thing to do by the staffs. AC blowers in our master bedroom were dirty and not cleaned, shower cubicle was leaking water to outside, making the whole area wet during shower. Food was great, delicious and restaurant staffs were friendly and extremely efficient. Pool area staffs were not attentive, we had to ask the staffs for towel, and they were not recommended or arranging any area for us to relax, bar was missing some cocktails - like Negroni (apparently hotels didnf have Campari in stock). Regrettably, it wasn’t the best, value for money experience.

The hotel has a great location, but unfortunately the cleanliness was very poor. The way my complaint was handled was also highly unprofessional. At first, the staff asked, “What can we do to make you happy?” They offered me a late check-out if I wanted one and told me that the manager would meet with me the next day. However, no one ever contacted me or came to speak with me. Then, at 12:00 PM, I received multiple phone calls asking me to leave immediately because they needed the room for other guests and had to clean it. Ironically, if cleanliness had actually been a priority, I wouldn’t have had to complain in the first place. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I will never stay at this hotel again

We stayed at Radisson Collection Galle for three nights and four days. The property benefits from an excellent location, and we appreciated having a room with direct access to the swimming pool. However, the room design and layout were not well suited for a family stay. The open-plan configuration of the toilet, shower, and bathtub created a significant level of discomfort, particularly as we were traveling with our preteens child. In addition, the white tiled flooring throughout the room proved to be consistently slippery, which raised safety concerns, especially with the added humidity and sea breeze. We also experienced ongoing water leakage from the shower area into both the toilet and living space, which further affected our comfort. On a positive note, we would like to recognize Nilupul at the pool bar for his excellent service and attentive hospitality. Breakfast was generally satisfactory, although service and coffee delivery were occasionally slower than expected. The Japanese restaurant stood out as a highlight, with excellent food quality and overall experience. We would also strongly recommend that management introduce clearer pool hygiene protocols. During our stay, we observed several guests washing themselves and even cleaning their footwear inside the jacuzzis before returning to their rooms. This was quite unpleasant and detracted from the overall guest experience. Having an attendant present or installing clear signage encouraging guests to rinse before entering the pool or jacuzzi would help address this issue. Overall, while the property has strong potential, there are several operational and design aspects that require attention to enhance guest comfort and maintain expected hygiene standards.

I am writing to share my feedback regarding our stay at the Radisson Collection Resort & spa Galle. While evaluating the resort's service, I want to bring special attention to Madelyn at the Kids' Club.She is an incredible asset to your brand. Her exceptional kindness, endless patience, and loving attitude made our family's stay truly memorable. It is rare to find a childcare professional so dedicated that children genuinely do not want to leave the play area. I hope the management team recognize Madelyn's hard work and hospitality. It is staff members like her who elevate a property to a true 5-star experience, and we will highly recommend this resort to other families because of her care. ❤️

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our stay at Radisson Collection Resort, Galle was absolutely fantastic. The ocean views are breathtaking, the rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, and the entire resort feels luxurious yet relaxing. What truly stood out was the exceptional hospitality. The staff were warm, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to make our stay memorable. The food was excellent, with a great variety of local and international dishes, and the pool area was the perfect place to unwind while enjoying the stunning scenery. If you're looking for a luxury beachfront getaway in Sri Lanka, this resort is an outstanding choice. We can't wait to return!
