Wasted a few hours of my life and my families, dealing with a surprisingly incompetent Front Desk manager. I suppose in retrospect the first red flag was that he was wearing an ITC shirt on a non-ITC property. As an ITC Club member and Marriot Ambassador, I can see why he’s no longer working for them. The property was completely empty when we arrived, no reservations that day. It’s the low season, but that’s still unusual. So that was flag number two. My son and daughter-in-law were planning to have a reception ceremony with some of our immediate family at the property. They wanted a small ceremony Beach side. No outside guests, no party, just a quiet ceremony for an hour or two and dinner. And needless to say we’d be booking out half of their entire property which consisted of four multi bedroom apartments. What did he mention, that professional film companies had paid over $1000 to take pictures at their property… so he has to charge extra .. Never mind that we’re actually guests! Well, in the space of almost 2 hours with an infant child and frequent reminders to the guy that we needed to wrap things up PLEASE, he still hadn’t given us a price. Instead of appreciating the fact that we were going to occupy half his property we had to deal with ridiculous statements such as “ we can book for you but then we might get other bookings“ - what are you saying, are you saying that as a Hotel you take bookings and then give them up to the next bookings?? And he repeated this assertion multiple times after I questioned him on it??? and “there is no such thing as an average meal price“ – making it impossible to give him an approximation of how much additional Fnb value he could extract (not even my job), even though it was somewhat outrageous for him to demand this since guests could easily leave a property and eat out anyway. Even though the apartments have small kitchens he made it clear they would not allow us to bring in even pre-prepared food if we want certain special items for the ceremony dinner. Things they could never prepare but he insisted his Chef could potentially do so, never mind that a lot of those items are really specialised. Even conceding that he then makes it impossible to negotiate in a mathematically literate or remotely efficient pricing for in-house food prep. So no way forward. The fact that he was mathematically illiterate or pretending to be so that he could inflate a now mandatory projected F&B cost per head while wasting my time for two hours with an unhappy baby, says a lot. All he could say on F&B is that some guests would spend a great deal of money, but couldn’t concede that other guests might spend less and therefore you could just come to some average price….. okay that’s great but then how do we move forward? You took 15 minutes to fetch your writing pad and a pen but you haven’t written any prices down. Even though you already quoted my son when he first came and now say that that price is not something you would do. This guy should be working in a government office creating regulations to destroy free Enterprise. That’s exactly what he would do best. There’s a lot more I could say, and I don’t want to get too Personal in terms of just how unprofessional he was but I’ll give a clue: he only really wanted to talk to my young (good looking and soon to be married son present with his future wife and infant) who had originally inquired on the property at which time this guy had seemed very accommodating… and the guy was very clearly disappointed with having to deal with me as the person who would be handling finances and logistics, saying about five times “last time I was talking with your son I should be talking with your son..”, I spent two hours trying to reach any agreement with a guy that obviously can’t handle baseline economic conversations, needless to say I lost my patience and we left. Mostly, I couldn’t stand how he constantly interrupted everything I tried to say. I think he’s fooled the ownership into thinking he’s an asset. He’s the liability.

大海就在眼前，安靜得像專屬於自己的風景。 這裡真的像一片寧靜綠洲。房間寬敞舒適、正面海景，清晨與傍晚的光線都美得不真實。服務細緻周到，餐點水準也相當不錯，每一餐都吃得很滿足。 整體氛圍有點像臺灣墾丁的海岸線，卻多了一份成熟與秩序感，觀光規劃做得相當完善。 附近還有很美的夕陽景點，值得專程前往。步行可達的商店與餐廳不多，不過搭乘嘟嘟車移動非常方便。這是一間適合放慢步調、好好看海、好好休息的度假勝地。 #SriLanka #Mirissa #OceanView #BeachVillas #TravelDiary

We would like to extend our sincere thanks for a truly wonderful stay in Sri Sharavi from 15th - 21st February. The hotel’s idyllic setting made our experience especially memorable — enjoying every meal just metres from the crashing ocean waves was something very special. The amenities were of an excellent standard, our room was extremely comfortable, and the food and cocktails were consistently delicious. The staff were attentive and professional in serving our meals and drinks, and every member of the team was warm, helpful, and conscientious. Meeting, chatting, and sharing laughter with the team was a real highlight of our stay. We very much hope to return again soon.

We stayed for 2 nights on our trip to Weligama. Villas opened out onto a gorgeous beach / ocean and a lovely long pool. Really liked the concept of communal villa space with private rooms. Good breakfast overlooking the sea. Had dinner at the hotel one of the two nights - good food, albeit pretty expensive compared to elsewhere. Hotel also gave us a nice touch of a cake to celebrate our honeymoon. Special shout out to Kumara for an excellent massage and Madu for all of his hard work around the pool / serving dinner in the evening.

We stayed 2 nights at the Sri Sharavi Villa and Spa. Our room was rather on the small side but clean and cute. We had a tiny balcony but was better than nothing. The service and people were friendly and helpful. The pool was amazing, very big and well maintained. Breakfast at the beach was a la carte, with limited choice but tasty. Coffee was delicious. Hotel was quiet despite close to main road. Hotel is well maintained and modern. A nice place to stay for a few days, it is however on the pricy side. We would recommend the hotel and we were happy with our stay.

Op een fantastische locatie, direct aan het strand ligt dit mooie en nette hotel. Hele mooie, complete , schone en ruime kamers. Super behulpzaam en gastvrij personeel en heerlijk eten. Met de tuktuk ben je in 5 minuten in t centrum van Mirissa. Het zwembad heeft uitzicht op de zee en is deels zout water.
