Where do I begin? The only thing that matched up to their claims online was the view. We got shown to our room upon arrival. The resort was very much empty. I think there 4 other rooms occupied throughout our stay but they still put us right at the back of the resort in a terribly under serviced and dirty room. It was right next to the other resort so you can only imagine how loud it was all night. As soon as we walked into the room, my husband stepped on to the large rug to walk across the room. He said he felt something under the rug. It was a huge insect. I assumed that all hotels would take cleanliness very seriously but apparently checking under rugs is too much of a chore. After a long journey we wanted to shower up and grab some food. Went into the toilet and was surprised at how underkept it is. Shower was seperate but that was no better. Towels were dirty and so were the robes provided. Moving on to the bed. The mosquito net was very visibly stained. It was stomach turning. I have never been to a 4/5 star hotel and experienced this level of incompetence when it comes to cleanliness. Moving on to the spa. I went to make a reservation around half 4 but it was closed. I asked the front desk if i could speak to the ladies working in the spa but apparently it was closed. It only stays open for a sgort time during the day which was a bit disappointing. We then went to lunch in the evening. The view was beautiful. Food was good but extremely overpriced. I was quite shocked at the prices. Other than that there is not much to do at all. Location is very out of the way so a taxi is needed to get down to the shops etc. Overall, for the price you pay and their endless claims of how tip top their resort is, it was a huge disappointment and waste of money. Would not reccommend. Possibly the worst hotel I have stayed at.

The View was amazing. But just that! Prices are overrated for no reason! Food was poor. Nice taste but that was it. Waiting for more than an hour every time we had food wasn’t the best feeling, and imagine we were the only customers that time in the restaurant. Room was okay with a weird kind of smell. Half of the staff were friendly but the other half were weird. We were going to leave the hotel in the afternoon and for a 3 hour late check out the asked for a ridiculous amount were the hotel was kind of empty. Anyway if you want to have a day of rest i would recommend it, but for sure you will need more than $90 per person just for food per day. Otherwise there is nothing special to lose by not going there.

A very beautiful resort! Very peaceful, right on the beach and amazing landscaping. We didn’t want to leave the place. You can easily spend the whole day relaxing at various points. Definitely worth every penny!

// Not worth your money // I paid over 200 usd a night for a sea view in a premium hotel, just like the pictures suggested. Did not get the sea view. Bedroom sheets were stained, dirty. Bedroom was filled with bugs : beetles, lizards, ants, lizards, small cockroaches, bees… Impossible to sleep when you are awaken by bats in your room at 3am. Pools were quite filthy. Nice view tho. Power cuts were frequent. WiFi does not work. Also had to watch locals abusing dogs on the beach, the dogs were barking/crying, staff did not stop the scene after multiple requests. Awful memory. Food is good. Staff is sweet.

L'hôtel n'est pas du tout à la hauteur. Nous avons résidé dans 2 autres hôtels durant notre séjour sur la même gamme de prix et ici le rapport qualité/prix n'est pas du tout au rendez-vous. Les chambres sont vieillissante et mal entretenus, les rideaux troués, sol taché, les toilettes sont dans un état déplorable pour un hôtel à 200€ la nuit. L'hôtel fait payer un supplément pour le Room Service et vue le prix déjà payé pour la chambre, c'est assez limite ... Les abords de la piscine sont laissés à l'abandon, des planches de caillebotis sont cassées et j'ai failli à plusieurs reprises traverser le plancher. Cela est extrêmement dangereux et rien n'a été fait. Les matelas sont pour la plupart tachés et déchirés avec la mousse apparente, pour le prix payé, ce n'est pas acceptable. L'hôtel ne propose aucune activité nautique comme cela a pu être le cas dans tous les autres hôtels que nous avons fait sur l'île. Le restaurant n'est vraiment pas à la hauteur, nous avons extrêmement mal mangé et le prix des plats a été le plus cher observé durant notre séjour sur Zanzibar. Si l'hôtel souhaite maintenir ces gammes de prix, une grosse rénovation doit avoir lieu, car aujourd'hui ni le service si les infrastructures ne peuvent justifier de tels tarifs. Seuls choses positives : La vue des chambres est belle et les partie commune de l'hôtel sont agréables bien que mal entretenues. Le personnel est extrêmement gentil (l'une des seules choses positives malheureusement...). Il n'est pas très loin de Stone Town et de l'aéroport (30 min).
