Klidný hotel ... vhodný pro ty co chtějí být mimo rušný turistický ruch. Nejbližší vesnice se nachází cca 6 km daleko, stejně tak není v blízkosti ani jiný hotelový resort. V areálu se nachází několik bungalovů a vícepatrová budova s pokoji (u bazénu) ... osobně doporučuji bungalovy s výhledem na moře. Některé bungalovy mají trezor přímo na pokoji (5$ za pobyt), pro ostatní je k dispozici místnost s trezory u recepce. Úklid pokojů probíhá denně, včetně postřiku proti nějaké havěti .... ale tomu, že Vám na pokoj občas zavítá nějaká ještěrka se stejně neubráníte. Dále se zde nachází 1 bazén, bazénový bar a Jetty bar (to je ten na vodě), recepce a menší zázemí s prodejnou suvenýrů, spa (masáže) a cestovní agenturou pro výlety. Těm co nemají problém s angličtinou doporučuji využít místní agenturu, na některé výlety Vám dokážou nabídnout velice zajímavou cenu oproti zprostředkování přes českou CK. Počítejte s tím, že Vás mohou po cestě po pláži mimo resort oslovovat neoficiální průvodci s nabídkou výletů, ale naštěstí jich není mnoho. Animační programy se zde konají obvykle obden (africké tance, masajové, ...). Masajové zde zároveň dělají security a ve společenské místnosti mají svůj stánek se suvenýry. S ohledem na to, že se jedná o 3* hotel je nabídka jídel menší, maso je na Zanzibaru drahé, ale denně je v nabídce ryba nebo mořské plody, méně častěji ostaní druhy masa (vepřové nečekejte, jedná se o muslimskou zemi). Nicméně jídlo je chutné (pro některé může být až moc kořeněné) a dostatek. Nabídka koktejlů a nápojů je v pohodě. Dezerty očekávejte až večer ... jinak při snídani, obědě i večeři je k dispozici exotické ovoce (maracuja, ananas, banány, mango a vodní meloun). V době našeho pobytu po resortu pobíhaly opice, jsou celkém bojácné, ale vyfotit se nechaly. Ještě bych upozornil na to, že občas může dojít k výpadku proudu (je to koneckonců furt jenom Afrika), ale resort je vybaven generátory ... tak si po dobu než je personál hotelu nahodí připravte aspoň nějakou baterku na svícení, ať se o něco nezabijete .... já se takhle zamotal do moskytiéry :-).

Tolles afrikanisches Hotel inmitten eines Dschungels. Aus diesem Grund leben hier auch Rot-Äffchen, wofür einige extra in den Jozani Wald reisen. Hier entspannen sie quasi mit einem am Pool. Der Naturpool ist schön angelegt und gepflegt. Das Essen ist ebenfalls sehr zu empfehlen, besonders bei den „African nights“. Unsere Klimaanlage ging eine kurze Zeit nicht, und direkt nach Bescheid geben an der Rezeption kam ein Mitarbeiter und reparierte alles. Daher können wir den Service ebenfalls sehr empfehlen. Am Abend kann man sich schön an die Mango Bar oder an den Pier setzen und die Abenteuer in diesem tollen Land Revue passieren lassen.

It was our first time in Zanzibar, and we spent 7 nights at Reef & Beach Resort. I cannot express how amazing this resort is. From the activities available to the food and cocktails, everything was absolutely incredible. The staff are some of the friendliest people you will ever meet. They are always willing to help at any time of the day, and they do so with a smile. The waiters at the restaurants greet you warmly, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. The food and desserts were outstanding, and the Jetty Bar has such a great vibe. The animation activities that take place every night at 9 are fantastic and really give you a chance to experience the culture of Zanzibar. Merry, who leads the animation, does an amazing job and always brings great energy. The hospitality, views, and beach access truly deserve a 10/10. As a South African, I highly recommend this resort. Our stay was nothing short of amazing. Also make sure you try Turkish hammam bath at the spa, an amazing experience. The only small negative is that the music in the game room is constantly on repeat—some variety would make it even better. Thank you, Reef & Beach Resort, for an unforgettable experience. Reef and Beach Resort in Zanzibar. My wife and I spent a fantastic 10 days at this hotel. Everything was top-notch. The weather was beautiful, the room with an ocean view was fantastic, the food was varied and delicious, the restaurants and bars were fantastic. The excursion options were very diverse. We chose the safari in Mikumi Park on the mainland, as well as Stone Town and Prison Island. But the greatest joy of our stay was the incredibly friendly people who worked there. They were always smiling, helpful, and always ready to help. We especially remember Abdul, who always went above and beyond, and Letishia, who was always smiling and helpful. Thank you so much. It was a fantastic vacation.

I spent 9 days at Reef & Beach Resort after doing a 3 day safari in Nyerere National Park, and my time in Tanzania and Zanzibar was honestly incredible. I’ve travelled quite a lot over the last three years, and this has probably been my most memorable trip to date. The hotel itself is beautiful and huge, with so much to explore. The ocean view rooms are incredible. I was actually lucky enough to receive a free upgrade for the first two nights before my safari, and I absolutely loved the room and the views. When I returned from safari I was in a pool view room, which didn't quite compare to the ocean view, although it was still perfectly comfortable. Because of the location of my room, I could hear some of the workers outside and occasionally the cows, but honestly it didn't bother me at all. If you're considering booking, I'd definitely recommend upgrading to an ocean view room if you can, but the pool view rooms are still more than sufficient. The staff were fantastic. Everyone was so friendly and would always greet you with a smile and say hello. The Masai who you see around the resort and on the beach were also a lovely part of the experience. They do try to sell you things, of course, but what I really appreciated was that when you said no, they accepted it and remained friendly. I've experienced the opposite in other places, so this really stood out to me. The food was great, with plenty of choice, and the Italian and Indian restaurants were particularly good. I actually celebrated my birthday at the Italian restaurant and they decorated my table beautifully and sang to me, which was such a lovely touch and made my birthday really special. ❤️ I travelled here as a solo female traveller and felt completely safe throughout my stay. I also did lots of excursions, so although the resort is in a fairly remote and peaceful part of the island, you can easily make the holiday as busy or adventurous as you want. There are plenty of excursions and activities available around Zanzibar. The drink selection was good, and one thing I'd definitely recommend is bringing plenty of small dollar notes for tipping. Tipping is a big part of the culture here and the staff really appreciate it. One of the biggest highlights of the resort for me was actually the red colobus monkeys. Seeing them around the hotel was incredible and definitely one of the highlights of my entire trip. There were also a few friendly little kittens around the resort, which I absolutely loved. 🐒🐈❤️ Overall, I had an amazing time in Tanzania and Zanzibar. Reef & Beach was the perfect place for me to relax after my safari, while still giving me the opportunity to get out and explore the island. If you're looking for somewhere peaceful, beautiful and relaxed, particularly as a solo traveller, I'd definitely recommend Reef & Beach Resort. I honestly can't fault the experience and I'm leaving with some very special memories. 🌴☀️🌊

Fantastic resort with great food, beautiful surroundings and incredibly friendly staff. We are really enjoying our stay. The only disappointment is the sunbed situation. There are clear signs saying towels will be removed after one hour, but unfortunately this is not enforced. Some guests reserve sunbeds before 8:00 and only return hours later. Such a shame, because this would be very easy to solve by simply enforcing the existing rule. Apart from that, a wonderful resort!
