B Rabbit2/5 · 2026-07I know that there have been so many positive reviews hence why I booked this hotel. This is by far the most expensive hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Over $500 a night for a room with no view, a king bed with a single for one of our children. (We were told the king bed sleeps 3) First night there was some kind of rodent running around in the roof space above our bed, absolutely freaked the wife. We did mention this to management the next morning and they did move us to another room and gave us complimentary dinner which was appreciated. Last night we decided to have a bath together however the plug in the bath (some fancy push in type) wouldn’t seal properly so we stuffed it with flannels. Also the bath is so small it barely fits a normal adult in it, let alone 2!!! Breakfast on our second morning was terrible. No service at all. No offer for coffee, no cleaning up the table for us, no cutlery. I ordered a coffee and tea for our table and they never arrived. We had to do everything ourselves. Yes this is a first world problem but I assume that when you pay $500 a night or more that you would receive some sort of service. Also the gym here is pokey, has 3 treadmills, one bike and one cross trainer. We came here after doing 12 nights at the Hard Rock in Kuta which cost us half the price and in my opinion has far better service and facilities. I know this is only my experience, not others so just providing my personal view
Nicholas Murphy1/5 · 2026-05We stayed in the “Family Paradise” section and honestly it should be marketed as a completely separate resort, not as part of the main Grand Mirage experience (which if priced accordingly would be acceptable in itself). The biggest issue is that it’s physically disconnected from the main resort area. If you have children, you can’t just let them wander between pools or facilities because you actually have to walk along the street or beach path past street sellers to get there. That was definitely not clear when booking and changes the whole experience. The Family Paradise section itself also feels very limited. Before 11am there is basically nowhere to get food or drinks apart from the small breakfast area. We tried going to the main resort for breakfast and all of the vegetable dishes were smothered in cheap cheese, which pretty much summed up the style of food offering. The all-inclusive package is also extremely misleading in terms of value. A basic 43,000 IDR bottle of wine from the Pop Mart across the road is excluded from the package. If a ~$3.50 bottle of wine is considered too premium to include, you can imagine the quality of most food and drinks that are included. Service was also very slow throughout the stay. Poolside food took around an hour and arrived cold. Overall, the resort looks better in the marketing than in reality. For the price, the quality, food, layout and service were disappointing.
Emma Gardner5/5 · 2026-07Just a perfect resort for a family. We stayed in the Family Paradise building, and it was the right place for our little family of 4. The children were happy and safe in the pool area with the slide; they loved the kids club (big win for daily movies in the middle of the day/heat); all of the little extra activities kept them occupied. (Sushi making, bracelet making, turtle feeding, mermaid classes) The main hotel had a huge selection of places to relax, drink and eat. Rooms were really well maintained and modern, but I would probably like a little bit more drawers for clothes to be unpacked into for a two-week holiday) Local restaurants outside of the hotels were also great, and the daily free shuttle bus to the local Bali Collection is also a nice touch. The Spa is seriously next-level, and if I didn't have my children with me, I'd probably have had daily treatments. Will definitely add this to the go-back-and-visit-again list.
Yenni Yenni4/5 · 2026-06Got it. The safest approach is to make it sound like a completely different person with different priorities, different structure and different wording. Here’s one that doesn’t follow the same pattern at all. If you’re trying to decide whether Grand Mirage is worth booking for a family holiday, the answer is yes. Before arriving, I wondered if there would actually be enough to keep the kids entertained for several days. I didn’t need to worry. In fact, we ran out of time before we ran out of things to do. Every morning the kids wanted to be first down to the waterpark. Between the slides, lazy river, Kids Club, playground, trampolines, foam party and all the organised activities, they honestly never stopped. The turtle release was such a special experience and something I don’t think they’ll ever forget. One thing I really appreciated was that the resort doesn’t feel like it’s only designed for children. While they were having the best time, the adults could enjoy a cocktail, relax by the beach, watch the entertainment around the pools or simply enjoy the atmosphere. The water aerobics became a daily source of entertainment, whether you joined in or just watched everyone having fun. The food deserves a mention because it was consistently good. We looked forward to breakfast every morning because there was so much choice, and we ended up trying nearly every restaurant during our stay. Bumbu Delhi Indian Restaurant was easily one of the best meals we had. The Rama Live Entertainment dinner was another favourite, not just because of the buffet, but because the aerial silk performance was genuinely impressive. Our interconnecting Ocean View rooms worked perfectly for us. They were spacious, the beds were incredibly comfortable and having the balcony overlooking the ocean made the rooms feel even more special. We visited in June and expected the resort to feel packed, but it never did. There was always a great atmosphere, plenty of people enjoying themselves, yet it was still easy to find sunbeds and relax. The biggest reason I’d recommend Grand Mirage though is how easy they make your holiday. You don’t spend your time wondering what to do next because there’s always something happening. The staff are lovely, the facilities are excellent and everything is set up to make family holidays as stress-free as possible. We’ll definitely be recommending Grand Mirage to family and friends visiting Bali. It was one of the easiest and most enjoyable holidays we’ve had.
David5/5 · 2026-06Amazing 8 day stay here. The staff were so friendly and attentive, special mention to Bagus, Jenni, Widi, Sani and Gita for making us feel so welcome and they are a credit to the Resort. No shortage of food options, bars to drink at and the adults only infinity pool was a great place to hang out during the day. The premises was clean, functioning and well presented. Room was spacious enough to easily spend a week or more without feeling cramped for space. Bed was comfy, the bathroom was clean and relatively modern. We had a fantastic time and can’t wait to come back!!!
Arnesh Rai5/5 · 2026-05Stayed at Grand Mirage Resort & Thalasso Bali and had an amazing experience! The resort is beautiful, clean, and very well maintained with excellent hospitality from the staff. The food options were fantastic, but the Indian cuisine truly stood out for us. The Indian restaurant served authentic, flavorful dishes that felt just like home, making our stay even more special. Many guests also mention the resort’s variety of dining options and strong hospitality. The food prepared by Chef Negi was delicious, full of authentic taste, and beautifully presented. Apart from the food, the entire resort experience was wonderful — great atmosphere, friendly staff, relaxing pools, beautiful beachfront views, and plenty of activities for families and couples. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Bali, especially if you enjoy great Indian food and warm hospitality.
