Double-Six Luxury Hotel Seminyak

My name is Cynthia Truswell, in April l had the pleasure of staying at Double Six hotel in Seminyak, l went with my girlfriend Cher, and wow what an experience it was. We were greeted warmly by the staff from the minute we arrived at the airport, then again when we arrived at the hotel, we were ushered up to our 2 bedroom suite where we had magnificent ocean views. It just kept getting better, the staff at the front desk, porters, pool guys, catering staff, the list goes on and on, the restaurants, Suzie Que and Plantation Grill were outstanding, breakfast was delightful everyday 😋 the staff were so accommodating and helpful. This was my first time at 66, l hope it won't be the last. Special thanks to Yeni, Lina, Kadek and everyone who made our holiday so memorable. Well done to the hotel management. It was a dream come true for 2 gal's on a holiday and a lifetime of memories. DOUBLE SIX I miss you already x

Front of house: Big tick. Pool area: Big tick. Restaurants: Tick. But...when housekeeping accidently leaves your door open...I was quite shocked..I literally came home after a day out to find my door open! Luckily nothing was stolen. The roof top area is sensational. The staff are amazing, and the setting/atmosphere takes your breath away when you first see it. It is seriously great! But...whilst my room looked lovely at first, it was not up to scratch. Maintenance is an issue here. My bathroom light randomly decided it would not switch off. Some times it would...sometimes it would not... (Luckily I could block out the light by shutting some doors when this happened at night. So, to be fair, my sleep was not too badly impacted) The doors on the TV console/mini bar fridge cabinet had to be lifted up and then shut, (or they would swing open and get in the way). I worked this out and taught it to the staff member showing me around my room....because she could not work it out. In the middle of the night my shower decided to leak, and I could not stop it. It was not just small drips. It was enough to interupt my sleep. On one night it went on for 10 minutes and then stopped. So, not too bad, but not great. On (a very) positive note, upon check out, housekeeping checked my room, realised I had left quite a bit behind, and then came and found me to make sure it was returned. Very impressive. I was VERY impressed with the person who checked me in at the start of my stay, and at the end. (Same person). This review is already long enough, so I wont go into detail. Needlees to say, she is an asset. Very impressive. Overall..I would stay again if my door had not been left open. I just cannot recommend this hotel where such a big slip up has happened. :(

Very disappointing experience and definitely not what we expected from a hotel advertised as a luxury property. The rooms feel very old and outdated, and there was a strong sewage smell coming from the bathroom. Our first room was on the 5th floor, directly below the rooftop area, and the music was extremely loud. We asked to change rooms because of the noise, and they moved us all the way to the ground floor , right in front of the pool bar room for people with disabilities!!!. Unfortunately, the music and noise were still very loud, so changing rooms didn’t really solve the problem. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was the beach access. From the photos and description, we expected a more private or exclusive beachfront experience. In reality, the beach is completely public, with people coming in directly from the street, motorbikes around the area, and sunbeds being rented by outside vendors for very cheap prices. It doesn’t feel like a luxury hotel beach experience at all. Overall, the hotel feels much older and less luxurious than it appears online. Considering the price and the “luxury” positioning, we expected a completely different standard. Unfortunately, we would not choose to stay here again.

I had a fantastic stay at this property and couldn't recommend it more. The staff were incredibly friendly and prompt, making check-in and any requests a breeze. Our room was both spacious and spotlessly clean, which made for a very comfortable home base. The location is excellent, putting us right where we needed to be, but the real highlight was the amazing sunset views from the hotel! To top it off, the food and drinks were great; we found ourselves dining on-site more than we expected. I’ll definitely be back!

Wow. This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The location, room, food selection and service is seriously faultless. The staff are the nicest most helpful and happy employees we have seen in any hotel we’ve ever been to. Special mention to Apri in the lagoon area and Fikry in concierge, two standout staff members who are a credit to the hotel. These two men went above and beyond to show an interest in us and to make our stay even more special. Thanks kindly to all. It was a fabulous stay and we will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

Exceptional Dining: Whether it’s the breakfast spread or a fine dining experience at the Plantation Grill, the food is consistently world-class. If you’re looking for a perfect mix of sophistication and soul, this is the place to be. I can’t recommend it highly enough for a luxurious getaway.
