Eka Hotel Nairobi

We arrived at Eka Hotel late afternoon , our vehicles pass through their efficient security check & screening area before parking at the lobby driveway to unload our baggages. At the lobby doors, our hand baggages pass through airport style security screening i.e. X-ray machines and metal detectors. In the lobby, check in was a breeze for our group of 7 staying 2 nights from 25 – 27 August 2026 for 2 nights. Room 406 has strong free wifi, comfortable beds with easily accessible power sockets. Design is contemporary, room is clean with complimentary tea/coffee making facility and separate cubicle for shower & toilet. Breakfast buffet has western spread, good service from staff and food is delicious. Only shortfall is that the Hand sanitizer machine is not placed where the signboard is, I brought it up to the attention of the staff on duty, but to no avail. Due to time constraint, we could not use much of the hotel facilities. The Lobby Gift Shop has extensive selection of local crafts, souvenirs & essentials which entice us to bring some home for the travel memories. Nevertheless with seamless check-in, excellent room amenities, and strong security as well as hotel is conveniently located within 5 mins drive to the airport, it is a great choice to stay at Eka Hotel while you are in Nairobi.

The rooms were modern and spotless, and the service was professional throughout my stay. The restaurant offered a good variety of meals, and the location made it easy to move around the city.

1) Decent enough hotel, though on our floor there were random noises around 8pm. It seems they use one of the rooms as storage of some sort. 2) Service was good in general, except at the bar, wasn’t greeted, had to ask for a menu, other waiters kept interrupting the one bartender, had to leave after waiting for over 15 mins for some service. More training is needed at the bar. If you can sort these out the hotel would be great.

Visited for Eid celebrations and a dinner, and it was excellent! The service was attentive, the food delicious and beautifully presented, and the atmosphere elegant and enjoyable. Highly recommended! We enjoyed our overnight stay before our onwards journey in Kenya. Our room was big & clean but there was noise from the highway despite double glazing. The other amenities & staff were very good. Would I stay again, yes.

Séjour globalement agréable à l’hôtel Eka à Nairobi. Le service est un vrai point fort : le personnel est accueillant, serviable et professionnel, ce qui rend l’expérience très appréciable dès l’arrivée. La chambre est confortable et bien entretenue, conforme aux attentes. Cependant, plusieurs points sont à améliorer. L’enregistrement a été particulièrement long, ce qui est fatigant après un voyage. Dans la chambre, on entend clairement le bruit extérieur (travaux ou circulation), y compris la nuit, ce qui peut gêner le repos. Les lits doubles sont en réalité deux lits simples collés, ce qui n’est pas idéal en termes de confort. Au rez-de-chaussée, le vis-à-vis donne directement sur la rue, ce qui réduit l’intimité et peut être dérangeant. Autre point contraignant : seulement deux petites bouteilles d’eau (325 ml) sont fournies par personne, et il faut insister pour en obtenir davantage, alors même que l’eau du robinet n’est pas potable. Enfin, les restaurants ferment assez tôt, ce qui limite les options pour dîner tard. En résumé, un bon hôtel avec un excellent service, mais quelques détails logistiques et de confort à revoir.
