First of all know this is not a hotel. So dont come thinking you will have the services offered at a traditional motel. This is basically a glorified air bnb. We had no issues. The place was clean felt secure the pool was warm and clean. They allowed us to have pool noodles so we were able to float and relax. Its right on the beach but its rocky so actually playing in the water here is limited. Our overall experience here was great.

One of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had—not because of the property itself, but because of how we were treated when a problem arose. We booked a TWO-NIGHT family vacation through Trip.com. Our confirmation disclosed a resort fee of about $164, but NOT the additional cleaning fee of about $400 the hotel demanded at check-in. We spent about ONE HOUR standing at reception while the hotel contacted Trip.com, with a little child and a senior family member. This was a problem between the hotel and its booking partner, yet there was little concern for the inconvenience to us and no meaningful effort to make our family comfortable while we waited. I explicitly refused to sign a form showing approximately $570. The front-desk employee then manually changed the amount to about $164, and I signed ONLY after the amount was changed. Despite this, after checkout we discovered that the hotel had charged the additional cleaning fee to our credit card anyway—without notifying us. We emailed management and received no response for two days. Only after a follow-up did they finally reply, saying the travel agent had failed to include the cleaning fee in our confirmation and that they would issue a “one-time courtesy refund” of $402.44. Calling it a “courtesy refund” was astonishing. We weren't asking for a favor. We paid what was disclosed, explicitly rejected the additional amount, and signed only after the amount was changed. Their brief, impersonal response was also deeply disappointing. For a hospitality business in Hawaii, we expected considerably more care, professionalism, and accountability. A beautiful property does not make up for how guests are treated when something goes wrong. If you book here through a third party, confirm every mandatory fee in writing, keep copies of everything you sign, and check your credit-card statement carefully afterward. We came to Kauai for a short family vacation. We never expected to spend part of it dealing with something like this.

What I imagined an ocean view is a partial ocean view so beware of that. Only ocean front is full ocean view. I’m probably a little harsh but why wouldn’t the bar open before 4pm. Lost opportunity for sure! Probably one in done for us.

The resort is lovely and the location is really nice. Centrally located easy to get from one place to another. I was very disappointed with my room it was not what I was expecting at all. We tried to upgrade and that wasn't possible. So one star for the room. Service,we didn't really use service. We had to empty our own trash and there was no maid service at all. I know I might stay there again but I would definitely get a different room.

The rooms here are fine. It's the condos pool that's the problem. The pool is absolutely disgusting... Condo manger doesn't seem to care. Our property manager sent them an email, and they did nothing. The pool has progressively gotten worse over the last 2 weeks. The pool is only 4 ft deep and you can't see the bottom. We've been here 3 times, never again.

I really wanted to love this place, but it just did not live up to the hype for me. While the location near the water is nice, the room was not as clean as I expected when we checked in, and we had a few issues with things not working properly. It felt like it could use some updates and better attention to detail to make it worth the price.
