The location is blocks away from time square so you’ll get the atmosphere but not exactly in the heat of the action. It’s calmer than the sister hotel, Manhattan Times Square. It’s walking distance to a lot of restaurants since it’s on Restaurant Row. The complimentary breakfast buffet is adequate. I have no issues with that. My issue was that on four different times, multiple people unlocked the door and almost barged into the room. They were not housekeepers. These appeared to be employees just barging in. It’s weird and creepy considering these people don’t know what could be going on behind the door yet unlocking and walking in. They apologized and walked back out. This happened four times and after the second time in one day, we addressed it with the front guest and all they said was they’ll review the cameras. Just now, we were lounging in our room before checking out(which is two hours before checkout time) and someone was about to barge in. Again, this wasn’t housekeeping. In the middle of our trip, we were out all day and our door was left open when we came back that evening. It wasn’t very wide open but anyone could have lightly pushed it and it would open. Thankfully nobody got in and our things were not stolen. It was a cool stay but they should really look into random employees coming into guests room unannounced and seemingly for no reason.

La localización es inmejorable: cerca de Times Square y con excelente comunicación por metro con el resto de Manhattan. Las habitaciones limpias, aunque quizás el baño sea un poco pequeño. Y el bufet de desayuno es espectacular. La atención del personal también muy buena. Además, casi todos hablan en español. Es ideal para familias españolas.

My wife and I very much enjoyed our recent stay (June 2026). We booked a room on a higher floor (26) which gave great city views and cut down noise from the street. It's a brilliant location with lots of sights within walking distance and several subway stations close by. The buffet breakfast was excellent and the staff very efficient and friendly. Abbiamo soggiornato da 05/05/26 al 10/05/26 e non posso che giudicare la struttura in maniera più che positiva. Si tratta di un Hotel molto grande ma il servizio è eccellente perchè lavorano moltissime persone. Camere grandi per gli standard di New York, non enorme (da considerare che eravamo in 3 con due letti queensize), bagno comodo, grande con doccia molto grande. Dal 24° piano avevamo una vista affascinante con affaccio rivolto verso downtown. Colazione fantastica, buffet molto ricco e sempre rifornito, grande plus averla a NY. Rispetto alla posizione che dire, ci troviamo sulla 8av 47st, in pratica a 2 passi da Time Square e poco distanti da tutte le atytrazioni di midtown. Consigliatissimo!

Wir haben während unserer Reise im Rio Hotel am Times Square in New York übernachtet und waren rundum begeistert. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das außergewöhnlich freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal. Während unserer langjährigen Reisetätigkeit haben wir selten ein Team erlebt, das sich so engagiert um seine Gäste kümmert und jederzeit Unterstützung anbietet. Auch das Frühstück war hervorragend – mit einer großen Auswahl und sehr guter Qualität. Die Hotelbar ist ein weiterer Pluspunkt und lädt nach einem langen Tag in der Stadt zum Entspannen ein. Die Lage des Hotels ist ausgezeichnet. Der Times Square und viele weitere Sehenswürdigkeiten sind bequem zu Fuß erreichbar, was den Aufenthalt besonders angenehm macht. Insgesamt können wir das Rio Hotel am Times Square uneingeschränkt empfehlen und würden jederzeit wieder dort übernachten.

We came here for our anniversary and they made it really special with gifts in the room and decorations. The location is fabulous not far from Times Square. The rooms were cleaned everyday. The staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was great plenty of choice for everyone. I would definitely go back to this hotel if I visit New York again. Great location for subway and restaurants and I really enjoyed every minute
