I booked to go to a RUI hotel in Montego Bay, but after the unfortunate hurricane I was informed the hotel I booked was unavailable, so they changed my hotel to here. The drive to and from the airport took just under 2 hours and after the 9 hour flight, it was a bit gruelling. We got to the hotel and WOW, what a reception we got. From the moment we arrived we were very pleased with the resort and the attention to detail, find the room we had been given wasn't the easiest to find, they could do we someone showing your room, but the cases were brought to our room and there are no lifts, so the staff had to carry our suitcases up 3 flights of stairs, well done to them. The staff through the hotel were amazing, especially, Marlene, William who ran the evening bar and one of the attendants Everton. The buffet food was amazing and there was nothing you couldn't eat, on each service. We did the romantic meal on the beach and we felt like very special people. The pools were great and the entertainers never stopped entertaining. The beach was beautiful and clean. Rui Palace you have left us so many beautiful memories, so Thank you for that. The only downfall, was the excursions were so far away, I wanted to go to the Bob Marleys museum, but it was a 4 and half hour drive away and other excursions were the same. But overall we had an amazing holiday. I always book with TUI, for the past 7 years, but never done a RUI hotel, but will from now on Thanks again x

What makes this place is the people and the staff and the nature. I was deeply sad leaving after the 6th day. Before I dive deeper, please know that these people heavily rely on tipping culture.. they will never expect it nor ask for it, but it supports their lives as their base pay is very weak. Please bring single dollar bills to leave for staff, they work so hard all day, every day 🤍 This place is 10/10 for beach, the most pristine I’ve ever seen in all my travels, water so clear, clean and warm. Things to see if you like to snorkel. The most gorgeous sunset on this side of Jamaica every night. The entertainment team was outstanding, they made this entire trip what it was. Shoutout Spotlight (the queen of Riu Tropical Bay!), Advance, Sanya, Lady T, all the buffet staff and cooks, Jolly at the jerk chicken hut, Shanaya who choreographed all the evening performance dances, and so many more beautiful humans. Food was delicious and abundant, the games all day long were so fun to watch and participate in. We celebrated my mamas birthday and they made it feel so special between decorations and announcements and singing. I can’t talk enough about this place, it has my heart. I love Jamaica, I love its people the most. This was our second time in Jamaica but first time at this Riu Tropical Bay. We will be back 🇯🇲 one love x

Vivimos una gran experiencia en este hotel, las habitaciones eran grandes, y cómodas, el baño también. Tenía, aire acondicionado, TV, frigobar y wifi. Siempre pasaba el servicio de limpieza. Las áreas en común siempre impecables y los baños también. Las piscinas están cerca de la playa, siempre se consigue lugar en las reposeras. Los camareros pasan constantemente a ofrecer agua y bebidas. Siempre muy amables y también los que atendían en los bares. El equipo de animación siempre con buena predisposición organizando diferentes eventos en la playa o en la piscina. Y ofrecían lindos shows a la noche. No tuvimos buena suerte con las reservas en los restaurantes, nunca conseguimos mesa para 8. La atención en el restaurante buffet casi siempre estuvo bien. La comida era rica y de buena calidad en general. Es un hotel al que volvería.

I had an amazing stay at RIU and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of my vacation. From the time I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and always willing to help with a smile. The hotel was clean, well maintained, and had a relaxing atmosphere. The food was delicious with plenty of variety, the drinks were great, and the entertainment team kept the energy high with fun activities throughout the day and evening. The beach was beautiful, and I loved how easy it was to relax by the pool or enjoy the ocean. Housekeeping also did an excellent job of keeping my room spotless and comfortable. Overall, my experience exceeded my expectations. Thank you to everyone at RIU for making my stay so enjoyable. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends, and I look forward to visiting again!

Bella struttura, ma servizio sbilanciato e inferiore all'esperienza in Messico. È la seconda volta che scelgo la catena Riu, dopo una precedente esperienza in Messico che era stata decisamente superiore. Questo hotel in Jamaica è comunque bello, ma necessita di una buona ristrutturazione generale. Le camere sono curate, ma a mio avviso vanno classificate come semplici camere di un hotel a 5 stelle e non come Junior Suite.La cucina è ottima, ma su un soggiorno di 15 giorni il menu è risultato ripetitivo. C'è un'impronta culinaria prettamente americana, dato che l'intera gestione dell'hotel sembra ruotare intorno alle esigenze degli ospiti statunitensi e canadesi. Questo sbilanciamento si riflette purtroppo anche sul servizio: il personale si concentra quasi esclusivamente su di loro per via delle generose mance, lasciando il resto degli ospiti ad attendere invano (anche per le bibite in spiaggia).La spiaggia è meravigliosa, con sabbia bianca e mare cristallino. Tuttavia, mancano gli ombrelloni e le poche palme disponibili vengono occupate già alle 7 del mattino. Nota di merito all'animazione locale: i ragazzi sono fantastici e molto bravi, ma purtroppo lo spettacolo principale è stato proposto una sola volta in due settimane; il resto delle serate è stato piuttosto noioso. Nota dolente anche per le escursioni, decisamente carissime e quasi obbligate se si desidera girare l'isola.Un ringraziamento speciale va agli operatori di Francorosso, Alessandro e Antonio, che si sono dimostrati estremamente carini, presenti e disponibili per ogni nostra esigenza o lamentela.In conclusione, l'hotel ha del potenziale ma richiede più accortezza verso tutta la clientela. Avendo parametri di confronto alti con il Messico, non credo che ritornerei in questa specifica struttura in Jamaica.

Just back from a amazing week at Riu Palace Tropical Bay Negril, we loved it and would definitely return, location was perfect with easy access to the beautiful beach, I went swimming in the sea 6am every morning which was stunning. Our room was excellent, well cleaned (block 3) the food and choices were in our minds outstanding, including signs with vegetarian as well as gluten free, all staff were pleasant, and accommodating. We went to relax and that is exactly what we did, there are options to join in with activities, I would say there is something for everyone. Yes you did get approached on the beach but they were friendly and once said not interested then they carried on (unlike other destinations we've been to where they won't leave you alone) grounds were well maintained.. it really was a perfect holiday for our first time in Jamaica.. no negatives at all 🇯🇲
