Rachel Velasquez5/5 · 2026-06My husband and I went to the Jamaica Inn for the second time this year and it was perfect. We can’t express how amazing the staff is. The food is absolutely incredible, the lymphatic drainage massage was life-changing, and it feels like you’re truly at home during your visit. Thank you to all the folks who took care of us, but we especially appreciate the connections we made with Williams, Patrice, Ash, Quaid, Patrick, Fernando, and Lance. We can’t wait to come back!
Jo Ramdeen- Butler4/5 · 2026-05This is our 4th or 5th stay at Jamaica Inn & we quite like the it- we especially love the silence & the on time Room service. But has management changed in the last 18 months- 2 years? The attention to detail & level of follow up that we usually get was noticeably missing. In addition there were things wrong in the room (which sometimes cant be helped with an older property) but: -The bottom of the toilet & the faucet leaking (so we had to put towels down so the bathroom didn't get messy) - The smell of something dead behind the headboard of the bed- my husband & I slept at the other end of the bed & used pillows to stuff down the side to keep the smell down. House keeping came the next day & sprayed anti bacterial spray & the fumes were so bad we had to open all the doors & windows & leave the room to let everything out thereafter, no one called or asked if the problem was solved. There was also a similar decomposing smell coming from the fridge but less of a concern as most of our stuff was bottled or canned but still VERY off putting. And lastly, the phone jarring us awake at 7am because staff made a mistake & thought we were doing a buggy tour? No apologies, no "How was your stay?" after checkout as per usual. Please, please, please remember its all about attention to detail & following through that makes a stay exceptional.
Chuck Resnick5/5 · 2026-02Incredible property with a very chilled vibe. The staff are the friendliest in the world. The food, especially dinner is over the top delicious and fresh. We had a veranda suite with a room attached. The bedding is very comfortable and the entire property is impeccably clean. Probably the most relaxing vacation I have ever had. Oh by the way, the beach is lovely and the water so warm and clear.
Daniel Pabon5/5 · 2025-08I must say this place is absolutely perfect!! Not a single complaint. The wife and I are frequent travelers. We travel several times a year. I will have to say that this place is by far the best place we have ever stayed. We have stayed at huge all inclusives and luxury villas. But this place trumps all of them. We love how small and private it is. (Which explains why so many celebrities choose to stay here) The rooms are very clean with stunning views. The service is excellent. Staff know privacy and space. They don’t overwhelm you but are very attentive. Once you choose a place to relax on the beach and go for a swim, within minutes they set up your chairs with towels and linen. The food was delicious . The waiters know how to properly seat people with privacy and space in mind. All the staff are clean and professional. They have a beautiful sweet Labrador named Shadow that spends all day on the property and knows basic commands and loves to swim and fetch. Fun fact: Shadow is their 5th generation pet! You can grab her leash and hang out with her for as long as you like. She’s super sweet. I met one of the owners and he was very approachable and was very attentive of your needs. The wife and I have been looking for a place where we can come to every 6 months for 5 days to reboot since our business is so demanding. We found it!!! I am super excited to become a familiar face and establish great relationships with the staffs. The Morrows Family has owned this place since the 50’s and you can tell what their vision is. To be a place of privacy, safety and most of all relaxation. I highly recommend this place. I am now a regular customer at The Jamaica Inn. Thank you to all the staff for such a wonderful experience. See you in 6 months!!!
Ginny Mcintyre5/5 · 2025-07Best hotel I've ever stayed at! Super friendly staff that made you feel like family. Very welcoming and inviting. They all introduced themselves to us and always remembered our names. I will of course recommend this to anyone who comes to visit Ocho Rios. The amenities were amazing as well. from the nightly dessert selections placed in our room, the paddle boards kayaks and sailboats, there were just so many fun things to enjoy. we were also able to stay for the Tuesday night meet and greet with all the staff and managers and an open bar, and then a very lovely dinner on the beach in a buffet format. There was also Thursday movie night which had a nice James Bond movie displayed on a large projector out on the beach. overall, if I could give this higher than five stars I would! It was the best resort I've ever stayed and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Angella5/5 · 2026-07After another wonderful stay at Jamaica Inn in June 2026, I thought it was finally time to put into words why I keep coming back. I've been returning to Jamaica Inn for the past six years and, quite simply, it has become my favourite place to stay in Jamaica. There are plenty of beautiful hotels on the island, but very few manage to combine understated luxury, genuine warmth and consistently exceptional service in the way Jamaica Inn does. A special mention has to go to Gerry in Reservations. She has looked after me over the years with the same warmth, efficiency and professionalism every single time. Nothing ever seems too much trouble, and she is one of the reasons I keep returning. This visit I was fortunate enough to stay in one of the newly refurbished Executive Wing rooms. The redesign is superb, but the standout feature for me was the shower. Standing there with uninterrupted views over the Caribbean while still enjoying complete privacy was one of those unexpectedly memorable moments that perfectly sums up what Jamaica Inn does so well. The service continues to be one of the hotel's greatest strengths. It's lovely to see so many familiar faces year after year, which says a great deal about the hotel's staff retention. While some of the younger team members are understandably still gaining experience and don't yet have quite the same instinctive attentiveness as some of their longer-serving colleagues, everyone was friendly, welcoming and eager to help. One of my favourite sights never changes: watching the waiters effortlessly carrying room service trays on their heads. It's a tradition that always makes me smile and is one of those uniquely Jamaican touches that gives the hotel so much character. The food remains excellent, with menus changing regularly enough that even as a repeat guest there's always something new to enjoy. Dinner is always a highlight, helped by the live evening entertainment, which creates such a relaxed and elegant atmosphere. If I had one small suggestion, it would be to include a little more reggae, rocksteady and ska in the evening music. Visitors come to Jamaica for many reasons, but experiencing the country's incredible musical heritage is surely high on that list. The musicians are very talented and understandably enjoy showcasing a broad repertoire, but a little more authentic Jamaican music would make the evenings even more special. Although I didn't manage a game of croquet this time, I did catch part of the flora and fauna tour and saw the new rainforest garden. It's clear how much pride the grounds team take in maintaining the property, and it really shows. The gardens are beautiful, and the beach remains absolutely immaculate. For anyone planning to snorkel, be prepared for a bit of a workout if the wind is up! However, swimming around to the far side of the bay is well worth the effort, with a lovely variety of tropical fish waiting to be discovered. What I appreciate most about Jamaica Inn is that it has never tried to chase trends or become something it isn't. It remains elegant without being pretentious, luxurious without being ostentatious, and above all, genuinely welcoming. In an age where true hospitality can sometimes feel like a lost art, Jamaica Inn continues to excel. After six years of returning, I can honestly say it still feels just as special as it did on my very first visit. That is a rare achievement, and I already know it won't be long before I'm planning my next stay.
