I honestly don’t understand how this place is rated 4.5 stars, not even close! The room is run down, worn, and does not feel properly cleaned. There’s a stale smell that never goes away, the finishes are chipped, furniture is tired, and overall it feels neglected. It does not give the feeling of a well maintained hotel. It feels more like a dated motel trying to pass as something else. What bothered us most is that it wasn’t one isolated issue. The same pattern shows up everywhere. It feels like they are constantly cutting corners. Quick wipe downs instead of proper cleaning. Basic maintenance left undone. The overall impression is simply not clean and not cared for. The gym was another example. No towels available, machines visibly dirty, and clearly not being monitored properly. That is basic hotel management and it’s not happening here. We raised concerns. We received apologies. Nothing changed. A polite “sorry” does not fix a dirty room or poor maintenance. To be fair, the pool area is nice and the location is convenient. That’s really the only positive takeaway. What surprises me the most is that this operates under the Marriott name. This does not reflect the standards most people associate with that brand. This is nowhere close to a true 4.5 star experience. There are many great hotels in Panama City. Do your research and stay somewhere else.

Overall, I was satisfied with my stay. The rooms were nice and comfortable, and the location was good, with plenty of places to walk around and explore nearby. There is a casino on the lower floor, but the casino experience did not fully meet my expectations. There was virtually no drink service, and the overall level of attention and hospitality was below what I expected. Also, smoking is not allowed in the casino, which may be a plus for some guests but could come as a surprise to those who are used to a more traditional casino atmosphere. I'm not sure how suitable the hotel is for families with children, but it can be a good choice for couples without kids and for business travelers. Overall, the rooms and location are the hotel's strongest points, although the casino service could definitely be improved.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Sortis Hotel. The staff went above and beyond to make my birthday special — I was surprised with a birthday card, fresh fruit, and a bottle of wine, which was such a thoughtful touch and truly made me feel celebrated. Breakfast was delicious with tons of options to choose from, so there was something for everyone every morning. Our room had a beautiful view, and the hotel itself felt modern, comfortable, and well-maintained. The casino was also a fun bonus — I even won a couple of dollars, which made the experience even more memorable 😊. Overall, this hotel delivered excellent service, comfort, and hospitality. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Panama City.

Aspectos a mejorar: - Servicio de desayuno: No me pareció correcto que, en una tarifa con desayuno incluido, pretendan cobrar un cargo extra por un capuchino. - Servicios de cortesía: Estaba lloviendo mucho y el hotel no contaba con paraguas para los huéspedes, por lo que nos tuvimos que mojar. Creo que deberían incluirlos y, en caso de que el huésped lo pierda, cobrarlo. En mi opinión recomendaría este hotel con todo gusto mi estancia fue espectacular.

My review is specific to the spa. I had two spa services during my stay. While the actual spa service I received was fine, the spa itself has fallen well below the standard you would expect for a Marriot Autograph hotel. The vitality pool wasnt filled enough meaning the beds were painful to lay on, the jets were above the water line by about a foot and were not correctly calibrated so when turned on you get blasted directly in the face and sides. Only 1 of the three beds in the women's area worked at all. There were also broken tiles around the pools and the tropical shower was grimey and calcified. The locker rooms are run down with loose floor tiles, multiple lockers that don't work and generally not very well maintained. I was given a towel with large red stains on it when I arrived. The massage and facial I had were fine, but not amazing, I think you would have a similar experience at a normal spa without additional facilities at a lower price point. Overall until they do some maintenance on the facilities I do not recommend booking spa services here.

It is a stylish hotel in the middle of life . But: Staff at the reception and the restaurant were perfect but I cannot say the same for house keeping. They did not clean the shower. They did not change the towels. Instead, they took a used towel everyday leaving me with almost nothing the last day. Spa was marvelous. Perfect sauna, steam room, one person jacuzzis… I thank Betty for her massages which made my day. In room service was not acceptable either. Please see the photos of my wine opener. Pool area is really good. So as the staff. I have mixed feelings for the hotel but thank you for the staff at the reception, spa and restaurant
