Atlantica Caldera Palace is a genuinely beautiful spot right on the beach, but the whole vibe gets completely ruined by one massive issue that management completely drops the ball on: the ridiculous towel-reserving at the pool. By 7:00 AM, literally every single sunbed at the main pool is claimed by a towel—half the time with nobody in sight for hours. If you roll up after 8:00 AM, forget about it. Zero chance of getting a spot. But honestly, the worst part isn't even the entitlement of other guests—it’s the total ghosting by hotel management. They know damn well this is a huge problem, yet they do absolutely nothing about it. And by nothing, I literally mean zero effort: not a single staff member is ever seen near the pool to check on things or strip off abandoned towels. You're completely on your own. Gotta hand it to them though—their priorities are hilarious. While absolute mayhem unfolds outside at the pool with no staff in sight, you get greeted in the breakfast room first thing in the morning by dreamlike, live Greek music. So there you are, munching on your toast to dreamy acoustic vibes, emotionally processing how you're about to spend your day standing up, watching empty towels get a better tan than you. Credit where credit’s due, though: the in-house entertainment team that performs twice a day is actually pretty impressive. For a pure hotel ensemble, they’ve clearly poured some serious money and effort into them—the talent is legit. For a 5-star resort, you'd just expect staff to balance the budget and actually enforce basic pool rules too. Great setting, top-tier shows, lovely live music with your scrambled eggs... but a total fail on pool management.

Very disappointing – definitely not a 5-star experience Unfortunately, our stay at Atlantica Caldera Palace was far from what we expected from a 5-star hotel. From the very first night, we had a serious problem with noise around our room, including extremely loud cricket noises, which made it very difficult to sleep. We contacted the hotel and requested to change rooms, but despite explaining the situation several times, our request was refused and no proper solution was offered. The food was also a major disappointment. The quality and variety were not what we expected from a 5-star hotel. As someone who does not eat pork, I also found it difficult to feel comfortable with the food, as there was not enough clear information or consideration regarding the ingredients. What disappointed us the most, however, was the service. We felt that our complaints were not taken seriously and that the staff were not genuinely interested in finding a solution. At times, the attitude we received was simply unpleasant and unprofessional. Because of these issues, we ended up having to rent a car and eat outside the hotel instead of being able to enjoy the facilities and services we had paid for. Overall, the experience did not come close to the standard we expected from a 5-star resort, especially considering the price we paid. Unfortunately, I would not return to this hotel and cannot recommend it based on our experience.

We were originally re-located here as the hotel we were meant to stay in didn't open in time. After reading the reviews, I wasn't so sure of the place but I was proven wrong. We had a swim up room in block 6 which was fantastic as it had the sun from 1pm until night. We were right next to the adults pool and close to the restaurant. What I would say is, there's a big variation in all the rooms with layouts and decor. It seems they're all so different. Something to be mindful of. One thing that sets this hotel apart was the cleanliness in terms of the restaurant. Staff were awesome and always cleaned up after you. Plus, the food choices were spot on in regards to a very varied and tasty salad and fruit bar. You could always find what you want even if you're a picky eater. The restaurant has recently been renovated and is very nice. I believe next year they're updating the lobby and building a waterpark. Overall, a nice holiday. Make sure you check out Ocean Seaside and the bars when you leave the hotel, turn left and head 5 mins down the road. Also, we hired a car for the day and went to Agios Nicholas to a couple of hidden beaches which were unreal. One thing which could be better is having some music around the pools and some better entertainment for kids in the aged 9+ bracket.

I recently stayed here for a week with my mum. We loved the hotel! The food was great—there was a great selection of buffets and al a carte restaurants included in our stay. Our room was lovely, clean and modern with a great view of the pools and the sea. The staff were always friendly and helped whenever needed. The hotel is also located on a strip filled with lovely restaurants, bars, shops, water activities and other hotels so you have the option to do things outside of the hotel. Definitely recommend staying here!

Fantastic holiday. The food was incredible from all restaurants. The drinks were high quality and premium brands. The service was fantastic throughout - the adult only area waiter last week was incredible!!! He was always there if you needed anything. The rooms were spotless, clean and beautiful. Not much more you could ask for. The only downside was the check-in, after a delay at the airport arriving on thebus waiting for people that never showed up (1 hour) there was only 1 person on reception so we stood waiting for 45 minutes 😴 this could've been a lot smoother. We were tired and wanted a rest after a long day travelling.

Really hard to find fault. Had a great week away with the family. Really spacious family room, great food selection (buffet & restaurants). Staff friendly & efficient. Pools were great for the little ones & plenty to explore nearby. Add to that a beach on our doorstep & the most beautiful sunsets & we all went home a very happy family. Massively recommended.
