I am writing this to help other travelers avoid a very expensive disappointment. This hotel is sold as a 4-star resort, but in reality it is closer to a basic 3-star property, mainly because of how old and poorly maintained everything is. Room • Only partially renovated • Bathroom extremely outdated, full of limescale • Old utilities and visible wear • Large gaps around the door – during rain it felt insecure and uncomfortable • Definitely not at 4-star level Restaurant & facilities • Only ONE restaurant for the entire hotel • Located together with reception and bar in a small, dark, unrenovated space • Far from the beach • Old furniture, no resort atmosphere • Only the bar corner looked slightly newer Food • Very limited and repetitive • Low quality for Seychelles standards • At breakfast we had almost nothing to eat except omelette • Not acceptable for a premium-priced hotel Gardens • Cannot be called gardens • Small neglected yard • Burnt grass, plants in pots • Nothing like the lush tropical environment you expect in Seychelles Pool • Small pool with no ocean view • View blocked by a hedge and an unused paved area • No relaxing resort feeling at all Pool bar • A few old, dirty tables • During our stay it was never open either in the morning or evening Staff • No warm or welcoming attitude • After we complained and asked to leave, behavior became unfriendly • No willingness to help or find a solution Value for money If this hotel cost 100–200 EUR/night, expectations would be different. But at around 600 EUR per night, these conditions are unacceptable. We decided to leave after only 2 nights, losing the rest of the payment because the hotel refused any flexibility or refund. They clearly said they would not recover anything from Booking. The only positive part was Booking.com support, who acted professionally and compensated us partially after we sent photos and explanations – 10/10 for Booking. Final verdict: This property is seriously overpriced and misrepresented as a 4-star resort. Travelers expecting a real Seychelles resort experience will be disappointed. Choose carefully before booking.

Absolutely not worth 4 stars. One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. The rooms are outdated, poorly maintained, and have stained walls covered in dead bugs. Housekeeping was careless, leaving doors open and allowing bugs and geckos into the room. Our room phone and Wi-Fi didn’t work, and despite repeatedly reporting the issues, staff took hours to address them. Our room wasn’t cleaned despite putting out the cleaning sign. The reception staff were unprofessional and dismissive, offering excuses instead of solutions. Nobody made any genuine effort to make up for the inconvenience or ensure we enjoyed our stay. We wasted hours of our holiday chasing staff for basic services. The breakfast buffet was mediocre, and the location wasn’t ideal either. We had to walk around 20 minutes, or drive 5 minutes, to reach the nicer part of town. We would have much preferred staying closer to the Octopus Diving Center / Les Lauriers Hotel area. The only highlight was the restaurant and bar staff, who were genuinely pleasant and the sole redeeming part of this otherwise terrible hotel. For a supposed 4-star hotel, the lack of maintenance, cleanliness, professionalism, and basic customer care is unacceptable. I would never return or recommend it.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an absolutely amazing experience celebrating our first son’s birthday at Acajou Beach Resort. The whole setup on the beach was beautiful and beyond what we expected. It became a truly unforgettable moment for our family. A very special thank you to Mr. Ferdinand Bruno, and the entire team for all the effort, care and attention they gave us. Everything was prepared with so much heart. And a huge thank you to Chef Indika, who surprised us in such a wonderful way and made an incredible birthday cake for our son. It was beautiful and delicious, and made the celebration even more special. You guys didn’t just organize a birthday — you created a memory that our family will keep forever. You made us feel so welcome and honestly made us love Seychelles even more. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to every single person who helped make this day so special for us. ❤️🙏🇸🇨 We will never forget it.

Das Personal war unglaublich freundlich und immer hilfsbereit. Das Essen war super lecker und von sehr guter Qualität. Die gesamte Hotelanlage war sehr gepflegt, sauber und wunderschön gestaltet. Alles war einfach mega gut – wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt! Es ist definitiv das beste Hotel, in dem wir je waren. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und können das Acajou Beach Hotel auf Praslin nur weiterempfehlen!

Wunderschönes kleines Hotel mir sehr großen, liebevoll eingerichteten Zimmer und eine sehr schöne Hotelanlage. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Meerblick bekommen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist nicht so üppig aber durchaus gut und man bekommt auf Anfrage alle Wünsche erfüllt. Das Abendbuffet war super lecker. Das Hotel liegt am wunderschönen Strand. Ich kann dieses Hotel zu 100% empfehlen. Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt dort.

Nous avons séjourné en septembre dans ce très bel hôtel, situé sur l’une des plus belles plages de l’île… digne d’une carte postale. Sable fin blanc, eau bleue turquoise, cocotiers… nous sommes tombés sous le charme de cet endroit ! La piscine est belle, le restaurant sur le bord de la piscine propose de bon plat. Les chambres sont très propres, et le jardin de l’hôtel est agréable et bien entretenu. Le personnel est adorable. Nous recommendons sans hésiter !
