Our stay at Anantara Maia was even better than we expected—and we already had very high expectations. The hotel itself is gorgeous. The villas are comfortable, spacious, and everything works perfectly. The food is excellent and varied; even during a longer stay, you probably would not have the chance to try everything. The hotel offers a wide range of activities, most of which are included in the daily rate, from wine tastings to a variety of water and sea sports. But by far, the best part is the people who work here. They are always smiling and constantly looking for ways to make your stay even better. A huge special thanks to our villa host, Sisca, who is absolutely perfect in every imaginable way, and to Mike, who is responsible for the water sports. A 15/10 experience.

Where do I start? My husband and I visited this resort in November 2025. Our butler was very kind and helpful. Our issue was the food. My husband I had the full board. Though the menu was very extensive, the quality of the food was absolutely terrible. My husband got food poisoning on the second day and spent the remaining 3 days of our stay throwing up in our room. We were unable to spend our vacation exploring the island. We let the staff know while this was happening. 3 members of the team came to our room to learn more about what happened. They came and they assured us we would be taken care of for the remainder of our trip and if we would like them to call a doctor. Having had food poisoning in the past, my husband knew he would feel better in a day or two. We addressed our issues after our trip with the manager and were told there would be some type of resolution. We requested some form of reimbursement as my husband was unable to eat anything for two days. This was the worse trip my husband and I have been on. I exchanged emails with the villa host manager, Anandsekar. Upon my request, I was told this would not be possible with no alternative resolution. We paid a lot of money for our stay and it was extremely disappointing and the worst part was the way this was handled. We do not recommend this place to anyone! If I could give this resort 0 star, I would.

Our stay at Anantara Seychelles was excellent overall in terms of the room, service, spa, and activities. However, the food was average. We booked a half-board package, but what disappointed us was that we were only informed at checkout that all beverages ordered during breakfast and dinner were not included and had to be paid for separately—even though they were all non-alcoholic. This negatively impacted our overall experience at the resort. It would have been much more appreciated if this had been clearly communicated from the beginning, as it was unexpected.

Our stay at Anantara Maia Seychelles Villas was truly an unforgettable experience. The location on Mahé Island is absolutely breathtaking — incredibly beautiful and only about 30 minutes from the airport. It is a place where the only sounds you hear are birds, waves, and nature itself. No noise, no distractions — just pure serenity. You truly feel intoxicated by the peace and the view. We stayed in a magnificent private pool villa. The cleanliness, the quality of the facilities, and the attention to detail exceeded all our expectations. The cuisine was exceptional. Every single dish we experienced was refined, thoughtfully prepared, and a true pleasure. The atmosphere throughout the resort was calm and tranquil — at times we genuinely felt like we were in paradise. Our heartfelt thanks to the entire team who made this extraordinary experience possible. Special appreciation to Food & Beverage Manager Mr. Meriç Erdeviren, to our wonderful butler Dian for her constant care, attention to every detail, and warm smile, and to Mike at the beach who thoughtfully ensured our comfort at all times. This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us — one we will never forget.

Hey there all travelers! We have choosed Anantara Maia for our honeymoon and we are so thankful that we did. When we were booking it we were a little bit sceptical about the “ villa host “ thing but once we have arrived it completely changed our view. We were hosted and assisted by two amazing guys: Sisca and Ari. We can’t be more grateful to those two because they simply made our stay magnificent! They were always for us no matter what we wanted! They are the ones that made it so unique! If you guys have second thoughts about choosing it, don’t! Just go and spend a week or more in that place of heaven! Enjoy!

Unfortunately, our stay at this resort did not meet the expectations set by its pricing. The property is clearly old and in need of major renovation. Doors do not open properly, bathroom and sink drains are malfunctioning, and one of them even caused flooding in the bathroom. Throughout the property there are visible signs of wear and tear, accompanied by a persistent musty, old smell. The floors are squeaky, further reinforcing the feeling of an outdated and poorly maintained resort. The pool area also raises safety concerns, with exposed lights and visible wiring, which does not feel safe—especially for a resort that presents itself as luxury. Dining options are extremely limited: there is only one restaurant, with a poor quality of the ingredients. The coffee quality is also poor, well below what one would expect at this price point. The resort itself is very small, with very little to do on-site, making the stay feel quite monotonous, particularly for longer visits. The only truly positive aspect was the staff, especially Laxman, who took excellent care of us and genuinely tried to make our stay pleasant. The butler service is helpful and well-intentioned, but cannot compensate for the overall shortcomings of the property. Overall, this resort is significantly overpriced for what it offers. Prices should be reconsidered and reduced by at least half to reflect the actual experience. There are many properties on Mahé Island at similar prices that are vastly superior in terms of quality, comfort, and value.
