Mansi truly made our experience at the Village Hotel Watford memorable. As expats in England, her support and kindness meant a lot to us—she has an incredible way of making everyone feel comfortable and valued. Her service is outstanding, always delivered with a genuine smile, patience, and care. What really stands out is how effortlessly she reflects the best of English hospitality while embracing and respecting people from all cultures and backgrounds. That balance is rare and truly special. We sincerely appreciate every bit of support she offered and the positive energy she brings to her work. Date of stay: 08/02/2026-09/02/2026 Room number: 224 Overall feeling: From my experience on 09/02, I have decided to not book a hotel at this Village again as I had paid £105 for my stay and it was not a pleasant experience. My day started off really bad due to what I had experienced in the morning. I first arrived on 08/02 and checked in with reception staff. They were absolutely amazing and helpful. The first day was great and we also used the gym facilities which were fantastic. During the night, my partner and I heard some loud music which was disruptive. We ignored it and fell asleep. In the morning, around 09:15am we heard very loud music and bass. This was most likely coming from the new studios that have been built. If you are in a room facing the car park (front side of the hotel) be aware that this might be an issue. Also, around this time a member of the house keeping team "knocked" very lightly on the door and waited a second (no exaggeration) before walking in. I had paid for late checkout and was due to check out for 1am so I am not sure why the house keeping team wanted to come clean the room at around 09:30am. I spoke to the member of staff and told her that I was checking out at 1am and that next time she should announce herself as "house keeping" before going in. I also told her that she should just wait a second guests to either change and come to the door. Later around midday another member of staff did the same thing. Knocked on the door for a few seconds and then opened the door to come in. I spoke to the member of staff and told him that we had time until checkout. He then replied abruptly and said "well you should have checked out" and I replied saying we paid for late checkout to which he said well "I can't see it on my system." I also told him that he should announce himself before entering a room to which he said he did announce himself. As I was talking to him, he shrugged his shoulders, muttered something and walked away from me. As I was closing my door I heard the staff knock on someone elses door and again did not announce that he is from house keeping and just opened the door and walked in. Frustrated, I walked to reception and spoke to the member of staff to put a complaint through. The reception staff was very helpful and understanding. He gave us a later check out time and also a free hot drink from Starbucks. At the end of the day, I paid for late checkout to not be disturbed in the morning. I understand that sometimes mistakes happen however, I kindly ask that Village trains their staff or emphasises the importance of communication to their staff. A simple "I'm sorry this won't happen again" would have resolved everything however, walking away mid conversation and arguing about me not checking out on time (when I had late check out) is not acceptable and professional.

DO NOT stay at this hotel! Our experience does not even come close to the 4.5 star rating on Google review. We booked the hotel through the Harry Potter WB studio visit package. Wished we had chosen a different hotel. I would suggest that Harry Potter WB to disassociate with this hotel. We arrived at the hotel in the evening with no walking distance to any restaurant that is open at 7:30pm on a Sunday. The hotel pub & grill food is mediocre at best but expensive. The price to eat at the pub and using room service were different, higher for the room service, and they place an additional surcharge to bringing the tray to your room. The sheet was stained. We had booked for a party of 3. They laid kiddie size mattress on the floor to call that a 3rd bed. The towels were not even hung properly when we walked. There is no conditioner, no tissue paper. We requested room service twice using their "app" service. No one ever answered. Their breakfast ends at 8am on weekday mornings during the holiday season. Who wants to get up at 6am on vacation?! The swimming pool requires adult supervision of kids 16 and under. The policy was never explicit that the adult has to be wearing swim wear sitting by the pool side. Their attendants at the front desk was not friendly and lacks general knowledge of their own hotel policy. Oh, their lift was broken. We had to carry our suitcases up the stairs. The lift was not fixed during out stay. The hotel never offered to help.

We had a wonderful family stay at the village and truly enjoyed every moment. The club rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable, and the bar had a great atmosphere with excellent service. A special thanks to Shirisha for her outstanding hospitality. She was incredibly friendly, helpful, and always made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. Her warm and caring nature made our experience even more memorable. Overall, it was a fantastic stay with excellent facilities and amazing staff. We highly recommend this place and look forward to visiting again!

AirBnB host cancelled on me less than 45 minutes before my train from Newcastle to London for My Chemical Romance and I managed to snag the last room at The Village, what a miracle. Location is not the best (in an industrial park) but it's within 7 miles of Wembley Stadium and has decent transport and Uber coverage Warm and friendly welcome at reception, room is clean, well-lit and thank the heavens, air conditioned (it's currently 34 degrees outside), and the staff, especially in the bar, are very welcoming and helpful, always smiling. Only stayed at one other Village hotel in the past but seems clear the standards are consistent across branches and I will likely look to Village first wherever I'm travelling next.

The Gym is good and the swimming pool is good. The changing facilities are undergoing maintenance, only I was not told! I paid for a day pass only to find myself showering with mould and damp all around me. This is because the changing facilities have been moved temporarily due to ongoing maintenance. Whilst I understand this I would expect to have been told first before making my purchase for a day pass. When I complained, given i was disgusted, I was not offered a refund nor a partial refund. Instead I was told there was nothing they could do as I used all other facilities!
