We had a great stay at this hotel. The hotel is centrally located and only a few minutes away from the Edinburgh Waverley station. It's next to a busy road but our room was very quiet and you could barely hear the traffic. Our room was clean and the housekeeping was provided every day. The hotel seemed very busy during our stay and the breakfast room was very busy every morning as well but I feel like it was being managed very well by the hotel staff. Overall, we had a great stay and we would stay here again.

I had a terrible experience staying at this hotel and would strongly advise others to look elsewhere. To start, our arrival was a mess—when we checked into our room, it hadn't even been cleaned yet. Once we finally got settled, we noticed the room was generally unclean, and the towels provided were visibly dirty. To make matters worse, after checking out, I realized I had left behind a white laundry bag (clearly branded with a different hotel's logo) containing roughly $100 worth of unopened snacks. When I called to inquire, the front desk claimed housekeeping only logged a pair of "black slippers"—items that no one in our party owned or packed for the trip. When front desk receptionist followed up, they simply repeated that housekeeping "couldn't find" the bag. Given that it was a distinct item containing valuable, unopened food, it is extremely difficult to believe it was simply overlooked. I sent a follow up email requesting the staff review security footage, but was ghosted and I did not get a response back. The staff was unhelpful, evasive, and completely unwilling to address the clear inconsistency in their lost-and-found report. There are plenty of other budget friendly hotels to stay at with better staff and hotel cleanliness in the area. Between the lack of basic cleanliness, unready rooms at check-in, and zero trust in the housekeeping staff regarding guests' personal property, I will definitely not be returning.

Perfect location. The rest keep your expectations reasonable. If you want true value then you’re probably best to pay double somewhere else. This is pretty basic for the cost, but is super convenient location. Staff at reception very friendly. Breakfast was decent & did a solid job. Room is fine. Bathroom is a bit below par, plasticy, no ventilation. It’s fine, but don’t spend any more time than sleeping there. Our biggest issue was that we stayed Saturday & Sunday night. Sunday absolutely fine - good night sleep. Saturday we were kept awake by a local nightclub until 3am. The same repetitive bass/trance music. Paying a lot for the city but that’s the going rate

Really got disappointed here. Didn't expected much yet it was below acceptable. First of all, room was too small, not even a drawer or cabinet. Bathroom's smell was disgusting even the door was closed. We had to sleep with the A/C because the windows cannot be opened for security reasons?! No fresh air was allowed in the room, incredible! Thanks God, we stayed here only for 2 days. Not recommended at all.

It's the best IBIS we've stayed in. We're in the Accor loyalty program and stay in Accor properties regularly around the world. This location is fantastic. The staff are attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and informative. Everything one would hope for in hospitality professional. The rooms are quiet and clean. They are scheduled to be updated. soon, not because they are in disrepair, or shabby, they're going to get remodeled. It was a great stay in a vibrant city.

Después de nuestra estancia en este hotel ibis south bridge, no la recomendamos por el baño y la limpieza. El personal un 100/10, maravilloso, muy amable, atento, educado, nos prepararon el desayuno del día de volver para llevarnoslo porque salíamos muy pronto. Si pedías toallas o lo que fuese te lo daban sin problemas, siempre amables y sonrientes. En el desayuno también super bien, un desayuno completo, variado, y el personal también muy agradable y atento. La ubicación reconozco que está super bien, pero claro, el precio está relacionado en su ubicación. El personal de limpieza coincidimos un par de veces y genial. El problema, no quiero decir que sea culpa del personal de limpieza, pero a modo general creo que los dueños o la cadena de hoteles deben invertir NECESARIAMENTE en una mejora de la limpieza de sábanas y toallas, las sábanas en cuanto llegamos, ya tenían pelos, muchos pelos incrustados de los que estan enganchados y tienes que quitar y que parece que la lavadora no se los ha llevado por lo que ya fue muy desagradable poner tu cabeza en el cojín o taparte para dormir así. Las toallas... peor todavía, algunas tenían restos de maquillaje, otras pelos de los que a todos nos dan asco y que piensas, pero si son nuevas que acaban de traer CADA DIA, pues cada día te encontrabas las toallas con condiciones que no te apetece nada secarte la cara o el cuerpo con esas toallas. Y el baño, la verdad, no se si se aprecia en las fotos, nosotros almenos no nos dimos cuenta, o no se aprecia, pero es un baño como el un tren, avión o barco, huele terrible, es muy pequeño, el agua al subir de las tuberías olía a cloaca y era muy desagradable la verdad. En general, si no fuese por lo más importante que es la habitación, el resto está muy bien, pero nosotros almenos la habitación nos decepcionó bastante. También coincidimos con gente muy joven, adolescentes y era horrible porque por las noches estaban gritando por los pasillos y el hotel está cerca de una discoteca y cuesta muchísimo dormir bien, nosotros teníamos la habitación doble superior en la planta 5, la 4 es recepción, así que tal vez igual en la 8 o 9 que valdrá mas, pero igual se oye menos o no se hospeda tanta gente joven no se, pero creo que igual el otro ibis que estaba enfrente igual era mas familiar y hubiera sido mejor opción. Si buscas un hotel tranquilo, no lo es.
