I was hesitant to stay here because some of the reviews were scary. I was very happy I went through with it anyways. Beautiful hotel! Best value for what you get hotel-wise in Curacao. Stunning room (no bugs), very friendly and helpful staff, and the jungle oasis feel definitely stands out against all the other hotels. I’m a solo traveller and I would stay here again the next time I’m in Curacao. Exclusive beach access, great food and location for their restaurants as well.

I visited the Kontiki Resort on January 10-13 for my birthday. The resort grounds were spotless and well-kept and the room was absolutely gorgeous. The food was generally good and the prices were reasonable. However, I had a few issues that took away a star from my rating: • I requested balloons and room decorations for my birthday but they didn’t arrive as planned. • The shower in my room took a while to heat up. • The door on my room was difficult to open and close. • The service at the restaurants and beach club was a bit slow. • One night, the crew was outside replacing all the cabanas on the beach so we heard loud talking and banging all night. Despite these minor inconveniences, the hotel is in a great location and offers a pleasant stay. I would definitely stay here again in the future. Oh and the music didn’t bother me at night.

Overall 7/10! The grounds were beautiful and nicely kept. The room was clean and comfortable. The views were peaceful and the staff was always helpful. Areas of improvement: Although the rooms were very aesthetically pleasing, the engineering was terrible. The shower water constantly ran over onto the room floors. The soaker tub leaked from the back, and it was a constant battle to shower with hot water. The in-suite pool was not cleaned and the sinks in the rooms clogged after running water longer than 10 seconds. We traveled from the states and also had to rent a connector for the outlets to charge all necessities because the sockets were all foreign and didn’t support our devices or flat iron. The resort communicated through whatsapp and their responses were automated as if the issues we had were very common. Through out our stay there were parties going on for the FIFA World Cup which greatly inconvenienced us. Our room was blocked on both sides and we were instructed to walked through itchy leafy bushes. Additionally, outside guess from all over were allowed to enter the resort all night which made safety questionable. The beaches closed at 7pm ( we visited Mon-Thur) and shops also closed really early.

Het terrein is mooi aangelegd (veel palmbomen, zwembaden etc) en de ligging is perfect. De branding van een luxe resort is niet helemaal in lijn met de werkelijkheid, we verbleven in een Tropical Superior kamer en die zijn verre van luxe. Denk aan schimmel in elke voeg, mieren op de kamer en als je met je witte sokken 5 minuten rondloopt op de vloer dan is de onderkant zwart. Zie het als een Center Parcs achtig huisje, je gaat voor de faciliteiten en de aankleding van het park, maar verwacht geen mooi en schoon verblijf. Vergelijk het al helemaal niet met de kwaliteit die je gewend bent van Van der Valk in Nederland. De prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is daardoor niet helemaal oké, het lijkt erop dat de focus vooral ligt op de beach clubs en events die er worden georganiseerd en de kamers een beetje vergeten zijn. Met een grondige renovatie en betere schoonmaak kan er wel echt iets heel moois van worden gemaakt.

We visited The Kontiki Beach Resort 11/2025 and it was an amazing experiences. The resort was beautiful , the weather was amazing, everyday waking up and opening up the balcony doors to the sounds of nature along with the waves along the shore was just the best sense of peace and tranquility we could’ve had on our vacation. It was definitely a taste of paradise we wish we could’ve taken home with us 😊. The staff was so very friendly and helpful with any and everything we needed. If you want a great quick getaway Curaçao is the way to go and the Kontiki Beach Resort is the place to visit!

We have had the best vacation staying at Kontiki Curacao Beach Resort. Over the years, we have traveled to many countries and stayed at multiple hotels and resorts. However, none of the places we stayed before has shown as much love, attention, and quality of service as the management team here at Kontiki. The staff here is amazing. The food is superb. The beach is crystal clear blue. The beach and entire resort is clean and well kept. I recommend this resort to anyone who loves tropical nature, beaches, live concerts, and having a good time. 10/10
