Hetgeen we apprecieerde.
Corinne Underwood2/5 · 2026-05I would not stay at this resort again and would not recommend it to others. Overall, I’d rate it 2 out of 5 stars. While the room itself was decent, the overall experience was disappointing and far below what we expected. One of the biggest frustrations was the lack of communication from staff. At check-in, we were never given wristbands, which turned out to be required for accessing food and amenities. We only discovered this on the second day after having issues. We also later found out we were supposed to receive complimentary water bottle during our stay, but no one informed us, so we ended up buying water daily. The restaurant reservation system was another major issue. Although the resort advertises multiple restaurants, reservations could only be made through the front desk for the following day, and availability was extremely limited. My husband and I were unable to eat at any of the restaurants during our entire stay. The resort views were also disappointing. There is a large bridge obstructing part of the ocean view on the Riff side, and for the first two days of our trip, a large tanker ship completely blocked the view from our room. Food and drink quality were mediocre at best. The room service experience was especially frustrating. Around 8:45 PM, I attempted to call both the front desk and room service multiple times with no answer, so I placed an online order instead. I received a confirmation saying the order was being prepared, but by 10:40 PM no food had arrived. After several more calls, we were told the order had never actually gone through. I was seven months pregnant, hungry, and ended up walking to the front desk myself to wait for two chicken sandwiches that were honestly not good. I also tried booking a beachside massage through the hotel’s WhatsApp number, as instructed on their sign. After initially responding and asking for my location, they completely stopped replying, even after I followed up again later. The pool area was probably the best part of the resort, though even there, many of the lounge chairs appeared dirty and had black spots that looked like mold. Overall, this resort felt much more like a budget hotel than a luxury resort experience. There were too many service issues, poor communication, and missed expectations for the price paid.
Amy Garita5/5 · 2026-07Our stay at the Riff by Hilton (aka the Corridon hotel) was overall amazing. The entire staff is really great! The food at the buffet had a great variety and was delicious! & Thank you to the ladies and gents who kept our room clean. I really would like to mention the awesome staff members Raphael - the hostess, Tai Rock The manager for the front desk, And the Turkish man, I’m sorry I forgot his name but he works at Sofra (one of the restaurants) By the way, Sofra’s Mediterranean food was absolutely delicious. Everything at the seafood restaurant on the water was so good! The sushi restaurant was really good too however, they seem to be understaffed and so the wait times were a little longer than normal but definitely worth it. Thank you to the entire staff and the people I mentioned for making our stay, relaxing, enjoyable, and such amazing service & conversation!! We will be back 😊
Melissa Pettway2/5 · 2026-05As a Hilton Gold member, I was really excited to stay at The Rif at Mangrove Beach in Curaçao because I expected a higher standard from an all-inclusive Hilton property. Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing resort experiences I’ve had. The resort has little to no entertainment, which made the atmosphere feel boring and lifeless. All of the restaurants are located in one building, and none of them feel unique or offer a different experience. On top of that, the food portions are very small. The all-inclusive experience was underwhelming overall. The liquor selection was poor, dining hours were limited, there is no room service, and the so-called "midnight buffet" was simply leftovers from earlier in the day. One of the biggest issues was the condition of the rooms. Our first room was a swim-up room, and we found roaches. We were moved to a second room on the third floor with an ocean view, but the shower smelled like sewage. We were then moved to a third room on the fourth floor, which was missing bathroom amenities and also had roaches. What was most concerning was management's response. When we reported these issues, management told us they were not surprised by any of the room problems, which gave the impression that these issues are common and ongoing. We were also promised Hilton points as compensation for the inconvenience, but those points were never added to my account. (The manager was the twin with the tongue piercing.) The property also lacks adequate monitoring. Guests from the other side of the resort were able to come and go freely, which made the resort feel overcrowded and less exclusive. There is no beach or pool service, so you have to get your own drinks at all times. The room layout was not well designed either. There was a lot of empty, wasted space that could have been used much more efficiently. Overall, this resort did not meet Hilton standards in my opinion. Between the roaches, sewage smell, poor food and beverage options, lack of entertainment, and unfulfilled promises from management, I would strongly advise others to stay elsewhere. Do not stay here. There are much better options in Curaçao.
Erin M3/5 · 2026-03My husband and I visited here on our honeymoon in late January this year. It was a lovely resort and were happy to be able to utilize two resorts. The food was tasty (both in the buffet as well as the bookable restaurants). We only had one very poor experience with the flies swarming outside at one restaurant, but thankfully the rest of the meals were totally fine. I will say that I was disappointed with the lack of cleanliness in the rooms. I noticed the grime and mold on the bottom/edge of the shower doors (in both the standard room and the suite - my husband and I had to stay an extra day at the hotel and got the suite since there was a snowstorm preventing us from travelling home). There was also visible dirt on the floors and a coffee cup stain on the table in the suite upon entering which was not ideal. This resort is close to the plaza which was nice since we checked out the shops there twice. As for the night shows, I wasn’t impressed since it felt very repetitive and we found that the beautiful singing was sung primarily in Spanish (we are not Spanish speaking unfortunately). I would’ve been more impressed had the front staff acknowledged it was our honeymoon and made it feel that way. I definitely noticed that the staff at the reception desk as well as around the hotel were not very friendly and it felt like you were bothering them if you had to ask a question. I will say that the main barista we saw working at cafe Mondi (we didn’t catch his name) was absolutely stellar - he was super pleasant and would always make latte art in our drinks. We most certainly were happy to give him daily tips for his great service.
Raul Pérez4/5 · 2026-10This was our first time at The Rif at Mangrove Beach in October 2026. The property is modern, very well maintained and exceptionally clean. Guests staying at The Rif have access to the facilities of the sister resort, the Mangrove Beach hotel. These facilities include, amongst others, a café, bars at key locations (swimming pools, water park, beach, lobby, etc.), and a gym. The room is spacious, well-designed, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Housekeeping is provided every day. The food and ingredients served in the restaurants are of a good quality, and global/international cuisine is available in the main buffet (Otrobanda). We had the opportunity to try the Mexican (Maya), Turkish (Sofra) and seafood (The Tavern) restaurants; however, we missed out on the Italian (Siciliano), sushi (Dushi Sushi) and BBQ (Core and Don) restaurants because tables must be reserved twenty-four hours in advance and they are quite popular. The bistro (The Harbour) is, personally, a must-visit for lunch. Service at The Harbour can be a little slower than you might expect in North America, but I recommend just relaxing and enjoying the view while you wait! The beach might seem a little small on The Rif side, but it is perfect for a quick dip to cool off, and guests can always head over to the beach on the Mangrove side. The hotel is a twenty-minute walk from Brionplein square and the Queen Emma Bridge; just don't forget your sunglasses, hat and complimentary Corendon souvenir bottle. Overall, The Rif is ideal for anyone looking for a modern, clean resort that isn't too far from the city centre. Special thanks to Erika, our room attendant, who kept our room spick and span; Kezie at the Sofra restaurant, who ensured our glasses were always topped up and the food was to our liking; Carella at The Tavern, who takes phenomenal photos; Julia, who makes the best omelettes; and the lovely attendant at the ice cream stand in the Otrobanda buffet (who was there from the 9th to the 16th of October).
