First Hotel Mayfair

Wir waren 3 Pärchen und für 7 Tage in diesem Hotel. Es liegt sehr zentral an einer Seitenstraße am Hauptbahnhof. Eigentlich ruhig- jedoch bis abends spät lautstärke auf der Straße und morgens sehr früh LKW.... Lässt sich auf der Straßenseite überhaupt nicht gut schlafen. Der Empfang sehr nett hilfsbereit, jedoch alle sprechen kein deutsch. Die Zimmer klein, spartanisch eingerichtet und fast keine Ablagen!! Das Badezimmer sehr klein. Aus der sehr kleinen Dusche kommt immer Wasser auf den halben badboden! - Nicht gut gelöst! Die Zimmer Reinigung lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig!! Ohne Anmeldung keine Reinigung oder Handtücher wechsel. Wobei die Reinigung uns das Betten machen miserabel war. Auch nach dem mehrmaligen melden an der Rezeption wurde es nicht besser! Dafür ist das alles viel zu teuer! Das Frühstück ist echt super! Zwar täglich alles gleich, jedoch frisch und sehr gut. Dafür hat es auch seinen Preis. Insgesamt gesehen: Für eine Nacht, ohne viel Gepäck kann man es empfehlen!

Hotel Mayfair is a stylish and trendy hotel with beautiful design and an excellent location. The atmosphere, decor, and overall concept are very appealing. Unfortunately, our experience was affected by the room we were given (King Deluxe), which was quite noisy at night. As the room became rather warm, we needed to keep the windows open, but the street noise made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. We had booked our stay nine months in advance and were hoping for a quieter, courtyard-facing room, but were informed that none were available. It's a real shame, as apart from the noise issue, the hotel has many qualities and could have been an excellent stay.

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel was. My room was a reasonable size for a single and nicely furnished. The bathroom was small but had a really good shower. The hotel decor is nice and there is a very pleasant courtyard to sit and chill. Service was friendly. Breakfast could be a little more reasonably priced though.

Sehr schönes Hotel! Super gemütlich, gute Lage und ruhig. Das Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind ausreichend groß, auch das Bad. Zimmerreinigung muss angemeldet werden, wird dann sehr gründlich erledigt. Nach dem Check Out kann das Gepäck sicher gelagert werden.

Wir haben das Hotel für 5 Tage Städtetrip gebucht. Wir sind gegen 10h00 angekommen und uns wurde die Möglichkeit angeboten sofort ein Zimmer im Nebengebäude zu beziehen oder Gepäck lagern und ab 15h00 das reguläre Zimmer zu bekommen. Wir haben uns für das Nebengebäude entschieden. Das Zimmer ist klein, reicht für 2 aber vollkommen aus. Frühstück bis 10h00. Eine gute Auswahl an Brot, Wurst,Käse, cerealien, Obst, Gemüse und Säfte. Man kann heiße Speisen ordern, die frisch zubereitet werden. Filterkaffee ist gratis und ok. Cappuccino usw. Kann gegen Aufpreis bestellt werden. Für den Preis von ca.8200 DKR voll in Ordnung. Sehr freundliches Personal.

The location is definitely the strongest point of Hotel Mayfair — very convenient and well placed for exploring Copenhagen. However, the room itself was quite basic and the facilities felt rather minimal. One thing I found disappointing was the housekeeping. Guests are asked to request room cleaning before 9am, which I did. However, on two consecutive days I was out for most of the day and returned to the hotel at around 4pm to find that the room had still not been cleaned. On the second day, after speaking to reception for the second time, they arranged for someone to clean the room immediately. Even then, the service mainly consisted of making the bed, replacing the towels and giving the sink area a quick clean. I was also given a room in the rear building, where the ground floor was under renovation during my stay. This meant having to walk up to the first floor before being able to use the lift, and when leaving, I also had to carry my luggage down from the first floor myself. This was my first time in Copenhagen and I hadn’t done too much research before choosing the hotel. Overall, the location is excellent and very convenient, but considering the room, facilities and housekeeping experience, I probably wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
