Fijne tijd gehad. Mooi hotel met nog een nostalgische look. Zeer vriendelijk personeel en ontbijd was lekker. Het hotel bevind zich in het centrum. Top locatie

Ottimo hotel a Copenhagen, lo consiglio moltissimo. Primo punto di forza: è in una zona centralissima (a pochissimi passi dal canale di Nyavn, il punto più iconico della città!) e al tempo stesso tranquillissima e signorile. Secondo punto di forza: l’hotel è davvero bello (lo sono anche le camere: noi abbiamo soggiornato in una camera basica, non era molto grande, è vero, ma aveva tutti i comfort ed anche il bagno era bello, pulito e funzionale), hanno moltissimo personale e tutti gli operatori sono meravigliosamente gentili, accoglienti e disponibili. Terzo punto di forza: ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Quarto punto di forza: la colazione era buona ed in grado di soddisfare i gusti ed i bisogni di tutti. Aggiungo, a margine, che - non appena si entra - si prova subito quella cosa che i danesi chiamano “hygge”.

The location is really great, breakfast was good, and bed was pretty comfortable. However that’s where it ends. I had a single twin as a solo traveler and it was about $250/night for the tiniest room. I’m from the NYC area — an even more expensive city than Copenhagen — and the room I got wouldn’t go for more than $125/night there. The first floor has a really strong chemical smell, someone described it as formaldehyde, which I agree with. The room when I walked in smelled super musty and moldy, like an old moldy book. I kept my window open the whole stay and it did thankfully freshen up the room, but in colder months I can’t imagine staying in that room. I was coughing so much and my throat was burning when I first walked in. Housing-keeping walked in without knocking at 9:15 AM! Also the hotel won’t make to-go breakfast boxes for those leaving early because putting a croissant and hard boiled egg in a box is apparently too difficult for them. All over Europe (Germany, France, Italy, etc) I’ve been able to get one, but not here even though I requested it a whole day before departure. And they don’t refund you for the day if you’ve prepaid for breakfast but they won’t serve it to you. Reception was kinda useless at check-in or any other time to offer any type of info or help. It was like they were doing me a favor when I asked a question instead of being paid to do so. Next time pay slightly more and stay at Marriott or the NH Collection (I visited a friend there and it was incredible, like all other NH properties I’ve stayed at). I like to support local boutique hotels when I travel, but it’s hard to do so when this is the service they offer.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Located very close to the palace and also the Marble Church and two metro stations. The Phoenix Hotel is a lovely building with very classic rooms that are well appointed and ours was very clean. There was a coffee machine with plenty of pods and a small fridge. The shower was excellent with great pressure. The room was quiet and the hotel staff were very friendly and professional. The Hugo brasserie and bar were lovely and reasonably priced. If you don't feel like eating in, there are plenty of choices as well as supermarkets. The WiFi was excellent and this made a difference as we could stream entertainment as whilst there were English speaking television, some of the programming was quite old. We really enjoyed our stay.

I never leave negative reviews, but my experience here was so unacceptable that I need to share it. I paid over $300 per night for my room, and for this price I would expect at least a clean room to sleep in at the bare minimum. The room was extremely small and we had no space to even open up our suitcases to unpack our clothes. The bathroom looked nothing like the photos posted on the website, but that was not even the worst part. The real issue was when we returned to the room at night and we were getting ready to sleep and noticed stains on the pillows. We removed the pillow cases and were disgusted to find dark red/brown stains of what appeared to be dried blood all over the pillows and we were not able to sleep this night. What made this situation even more dissapointing was the fact that after making the hotel staff aware of this situation, they did not offer us any compensation, refund, or any meaningful solution to this issue. They simply just said they will raise this concern to housekeeping. We have stayed in many hotels and travel very frequently and have never experienced something so unacceptable, especially at this price point. Clean bedding is one of the most basic expectations from any hotel, especially one that charges over $300 per night.

Leider wurde uns erst beim Check-In gesagt, dass der Hund nicht allein im Zimmer bleiben darf. Nichtmal zum Frühstück, da muss man mit dem Hund an den Hundetisch 😂 Museum, Tivoli und Co. gehen so natürlich theoretisch auch nicht... Wir haben also knapp 1000Euro für zwei Tage in diesem Hotel ausgegeben und können quasi nichts in unserem Städtetrip machen??? Das ist eine groteske, gästefeindliche Entscheidung des Managements, die das Hotel unbuchbar für Hundebesitzer macht. Theoretisch jedenfalls 🤫 Davon abgesehen ein sehr schönes Hotel in allerbester Lage mit kleinen aber feinen Zimmern und einem Frühstücksbuffet, das zwar ok ist, aber einem Übernachtungspreis von über 400€ nicht gerecht wird. Hier kann man auch einfach in einen der zahlreichen Läden nebenan gehen...
