While the room itself was okay, the overall experience was deeply concerning and fell far short of 4-star standards. The Room: The accommodations were acceptable and clean, but the service and security issues overshadowed the physical comfort of the stay. Data Breach & Lack of Support: The most alarming part of this experience happened before I even arrived. Shortly after booking through Booking.com, I received WhatsApp messages from someone claiming to be the hotel, requesting payment and citing the exact details of my stay. When I contacted the hotel's customer service to report this potential data breach, I received nothing but a generic, automated response. They failed to address my concerns or confirm if my data was secure. In stark contrast, Booking.com proactively reached out to me, acknowledging the issue and stating they were working with the hotel to resolve it. It is disappointing that the third-party platform cared more about my security than the hotel itself. Service & Luggage Issue: The lack of care continued during my stay. The hotel misplaced our bags, and the response was entirely devoid of urgency. Instead of taking ownership of the mistake, the staff seemed indifferent. We had to constantly follow up ourselves, and there was no sense of priority in helping us recover our belongings.

El trato del personal es muy diferente hacia extranjeros que hacia latinos. Viaje por negocios. Siempre vestido formal y limpia. Aun así al entrar al hotel después de jornada de trabajo, me detenía seguridad en recepción solo diciendo "en que le puedo servir" deteniéndome con su mano el frente para no seguir avanzando. No me senti bienvenida. Estuve 4 días y no hicieron refill de tes ni limpiaron vasos ni baño. Fumaron dentro de las instalaciones por minutos toda la habitación olía a cigarro. Cuando les llamé no sabían de ello y apenas mandarían a alguien a revisar. Cuando les dije recibiría uber eats que si lo podían llevar a mi habitación me dijeron que si. Después uber me llama y dice no lo dejan pasar. Llamo y me dicen que debo ir por el. El buffette no es nada bueno y todos los días es lo mismo incluso el mismo pan oreado...

Lovely hotel near the airport with quick and frequent shuttle service. Nice selection of restaurants within a three minute walk including an awesome Indian restaurant and a great grocery store. The pool area and bar were lively at night. Deer at the restaurant was good. Service was excellent all around.

My family and I had a very late night flight out from SJO and needed a place to camp out before then. We loved this extremely charming property that checked all of the boxes: clean rooms, on-site restaurant, and free airport shuttle. As a bonus, we enjoyed the beautiful pool, lovely decor, additional great restaurants within a few steps of the hotel, and our friendly shuttle driver who stopper to show us a member of the local armadillo family! Great hotel and great value as well.

A great disappointment. We encountered only three staff people who were competent and friendly: the man who checked us in at reception, one bartender, and one staff person at the breakfast buffet. All the others with whom we interacted were disinterested, incompetent, and unfriendly. The room for which we paid $250/night was old, smelled of mildew, and had dirty floors. Floor border tiles fell off and left laying on the floor. The paint had large chips broken out. The food we had was fairly mediocre. Not what Conrad would have considered to be good. Very low value for what we had to pay and far below our expectations.

We are a group of two families with 10 people staying in three double bed rooms. All rooms smell like mould. Even with additional air purifier it didn’t do much. After a while it gives people a headache. In addition, one room has a centipede lying on the floor which made my daughter very uncomfortable. In the same night in the bathroom, there was a huge cockroach running around. We had to kill it. And we placed all our luggage on the table hoping nothing gets inside. It’s truly a horrible experience. Location is good. Airport shuttle is nice to have but only available every hour. We had to get up by 5:30am to catch the 6am shuttle since our flight leaves at 9am.
