Nos trataron de maravilla, era nuestro primer día de luna de miel, nos invitaron a unas fresas con chocolate espectaculares. Las habitaciones grandes, muy bien, la piscina muy chula con buenas vistas, igual el gimnasio con toallas disponibles... Destacar el trato de recepción y el desayuno, después de movernos por Costa Rica pensamos que es el mejor de todos los hoteles que hemos estado. Si volvemos, repetiremos sin duda.

Central location in La Sabana, make sure you don't confuse it with the newer Hilton located a couple of minutes walking. Checked In was great (Tatiana) great attitude, happy and polite. The Rooms are clean. Lights inside the room are great for a romantic evening, however, if you go for business...the lights are not the best to work on your laptop. The Lobby has a beautiful 360 view. The National Stadium is next to it. Now...the Checked out at 330am was interesting...the gentleman could not provided me my receipt as he was running the nightly audit...I then asked him if he could change a $20 for the transportation I had arranged through the hotel...it seems that my request bothered him...no change. I went downstairs to wait for the transportation at 4am...nothing...Uber to the rescue...Juan Carlos, who works downstairs was excellent, I did ask him to escalate my concern of having set up the day before transportation to the airport with Ricardo (works at the hotel) and the person he called (Alejandro...who never showed up...) imagine missing an early flight?...in all traveling there are good moments and others that remind you that we always have to have a2nd or 3er alternative...you never know...

Very nice hotel, ample parking, very good location in Sabana, cozy and quiet rooms, excellent dining options within walking distance, literally around the corner, and friendly staff.

I would not recommend staying at Hilton Garden Inn San Jose La Sabana based on my experience. Unfortunately, I was unable to enter Costa Rica due to immigration issues and never made it to the hotel. I contacted the hotel requesting a refund or at least some grace given the circumstances. Instead of working with me, the hotel claimed that I had checked in and stayed for one night, which is completely false. They proceeded to charge me for one night despite the fact that I never entered the country or arrived at the property. To make matters worse, after I disputed the situation and sent multiple emails, the hotel stopped responding altogether. I understand that hotels have cancellation policies, but honesty and customer service matter. Claiming that a guest checked in when they did not is unacceptable, and ignoring follow-up communications only made the experience worse. Based on how this situation was handled, I cannot recommend this hotel.

This place is a hell-mouth. Terrible service. Incompetent and deliberately ignorant staff. Water ran out mid-shower (after 4-5 min). Sheets were not clean—they smelled clearly of Irish Spring and Arrid armpits—we had to have them come change them. In doing so, they took my son’s silk special pillow he’s had since he was born. Don’t stay here. Honestly. I’m an attorney from California—Hilton is familiar to me and my family and this was a horrendous experience. Oh, and my kid hit his mouth on a sharp corner because we were “upgraded” to that room.
