Standard room for 2 people - bed is large, but limited space to move around it due to TV on wall. 1 chair provided.... Room clean and comfortable. Air con worked well. Bathroom good, some towels aged. Liked the water dispenser in the lift area. Gym good. Pool use not included - not clear at time of booking that this is considered part of the spa. Staff all very helpful and friendly. Breakfast really good.

Wir haben grundsätzlich im Voraus um ein ruhiges Zimmer gebeten. Das Hotel hat uns ein Upgrade für die Riverside angeboten, mit der Erklärung, dass es ruhig ist und das Zimmer größer ist. Nun die vordere Seite des Hotels hatte eine sechspurige Straße mit Bussen und Straßenbahnen. Die Fenster haben den Lärm nicht abgedichtet und das Upgrade-Zimmer war laut. Darauf hin, haben wir erneut um ein "normales", jedoch ruhiges Zimmer gebeten. Wir haben auch eins ruhigeres bekommen. Die Zimmergröße unterschied sich in ca. 60cm (die Breite einer Reisetasche). Übrigens das Upgrade-Zimmer war mMn nicht sauber, siehe Fotos. Bei einer Reise ist die Erholung wichtiger als ein bisschen mehr Platz. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Leider war der Raum zu sehr mit AC gekühlt. Die Leute frühstücken teilweise mit Jacken. Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr unfreundlich. Beim Check-out wurden wir darauf hingewiesen, dass wir unsere Kreditkarte beim Check-In nicht hinterlegt haben und sie jetzt manuell die Minibar überprüfen müssen. Wir wurden zu keinem Zeitpunkt beim Check-In nach einer Kreditkarte gefragt und haben das auch erklärt. Die Dame an der Rezeption sagte uns, dass es unser Fehler ist. Gleichzeitig hat das Hotel die Rechnung für die Übernachtungen direkt von der Kreditkarte drei Tagen davor abgebucht. Somit hatten sie unsere Daten. Es war generell ein merkwürdiger Aufenthalt. Ich kann das Hotel nicht empfehlen.

We traveled as a group of 7 for Easter holidays, with 2 children. The hotel is located conveniently, at the outskirts in the old town and on the river. The rooms overlooking the river have more natural sunlight but more noise from the traffic on the boulevard. The option to link 2 rooms into a larger space was much appreciated and helped our family accommodate better. The staff is helpful and the reception was quick to accommodate requests/information. The spa is not something spectacular but it is quite nice and relaxing,make sure to book in advance. As it is a large hotel breakfast can be quite agitated at certain hours.

Es un hotel con excelente servicio, la gente es super amable. La ubicación es increíble esta a minutos del centro histórico de Riga. La mejor habitación son las que tienen vista al río, en general esta bien y limpia. En el 8va piso tiene una terraza con una linda vista periférica. Ya que vas, mimate con un día de spa, las áreas húmedas están muy bien, agradables, al tener cupo limitado por horario debes hacer cita, pero eso garantiza que no haya tumulto y puedas disfrutar de todo. El desayuno incluido me sorprendió. Mucha fruta, desayuno internacional, tipo buffet.

Modern hotel. Lobby felt a little dated. Breakfast was good. Huge wait to check in, and in fact, always lines every time you want to ask a question. Some of the staff friendly, some a bit less. The bar staff were a bit impolite. Its a do-able walk from bus station but some in our party were complaining it was too long. Ultimately its not a bad location close to the old town. If I had to go back I am not sure I would go back there or not.

We had a comfortable stay at the Hotel, especially after an initial issue with our room was resolved. The location is excellent within walking distance of Riga Old Town, while the bus station is only around 5 minutes away, so we didn’t need to use public transport much. A special mention to Henry, who was absolutely wonderful. Our first room was in the new building and was an attic room with several issues, however we raised these with Henry, who listened carefully, spoke to the manager and arranged another room for us. The replacement room was beautifully decorated, spacious, immaculate and comfortable, with the perfectly working AC. We really appreciated how Henry handled the situation and made sure we were looked after. He is a real asset to the hotel. Breakfast the next morning was also very good, with lots of choice and plenty of options. One area that could be improved is the separation of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. For example, potatoes were served in the same dish as bacon/sausage and covered with the same lid, condensation dripping onto the food. Overall, despite the problems with our first room, we ended up having a very pleasant stay. Thank you to Henry for his excellent hospitality and for turning a disappointing start into a comfortable experience.
