Great hotel in a quiet location. Rooms are very comfortable and well maintained. Everything worked as expected. Bathroom was modern. Breakfast could be improved as not many options considering this is a 4* hotel. Some items are by request only

I stayed here over the weekend and had a fantastic experience. The room was big, clean, and warm. The shower is very hot too. (Huge bonus for me!). The team working here are just phenomenal. Very kind, warm, and welcoming. Anything I asked for they accommodated me. Very professional and I appreciated this. The food and drinks here are also divine. Will definitely stay here again in future.

Nothing but high praise and warm regards. This was to be the beginning of a week long tour of Ireland but my wife had a medical emergency on the first full day. I was able to extend my stay for two extra nights. All the staff was great, curtious and friendly. I will recommend this hotel to whomever might ask

Très cher pour ce que c'est. Déçu. Vieil hôtel à 25 à pied du centre ville. L'accueil n'est ni chaleureux ni souriant, très froid au desk. Très surpris de ne pas être mieux accueilli. Prix payé un jeudi soir : 281 euros. Nous avons pris 13 chambres total 3250 euros, nous ne sommes pas des petits clients. La chambre est d'un style désuet et surtout très mal insonorisée, on entend tout ce qu'il se passe dans le couloir et dans la chambre voisine. Très pénible. La vue sur le parking est moche, sans charme alors que le canal n'est pas loin. Le petit déjeuner est gras, très gras, les seuls fruits sont des pommes et des oranges et petites tranches de pastèque. Très déçu. La musique qui passe en boucle est terrible pour les oreilles, du vieux saxo qui reprend des tubes, qui fait encore ça en 2026.

My best friend Booked here inbetween my getting married in Dublin registry office first thing in the morning and when her venue opened for lunch. We have teas coffees, and lovely warm pastrys. Everyone loved it, it was talked about all day. Gillian was so helpful, the price was so reasonable and just a great place where everyone could be while the Bride and Groom got pictures. Thank you so so much Gillian!

We had our wedding celebration couple of weeks ago at the Grand Canal Hotel and have to say it was perfect. From day 1 organising everything remotely with Gillian, up to the big day, everything was flawless, the rooms, the staff, the decoration, the food. We had arrived 30 mins early to the welcoming drinks and the staff rallied to have everything in place and the food brought earlier to accommodate our guests. Joao was in charge that day of coordinating everything and we're extremely thankful. The wedding dinner was perfect, the table decoration, the timing of the service, simply everything. All our guests left with a smile and a full stomach and that made us very very happy. Hence, if you are thinking on a perfect location to celebrate any event, in our case our marriage, we highly recommend the Grand Canal Hotel, if we could, we would do it all over again.
