Stayed here solo from May 15th to May 19th for my birthday, and it was a massive letdown compared to the luxury aesthetic advertised all over TikTok and booking platforms. I checked in around 1:00 AM on Saturday, only to open my balcony door to a view of a literal semi-abandoned lot, unkempt grass, cracked walls, and other people's laundry hanging right in front of me. This "view" is completely hidden on Love Holidays and Akasha’s official website. Leaving guests to find this out at 1 AM is unacceptable. When I asked to change rooms, the front desk team gave me the run-around, telling me to come back multiple times. When they finally showed me an alternate room, it still wasn't the pool/sea view advertised, yet they still expected me to pay an extra 35 euros a night (70 euros total) to upgrade—completely ignoring the fact that I was checking out at 4:00 AM on Tuesday anyway. It feels like a calculated bait-and-switch hustle: give guests the worst possible room, then force them to wait around or pay extra cash to escape it. As a solo traveler, it felt incredibly manipulative, and I refused to pay extra for a room I didn't even want. To top it off, the food was a major disappointment. Both the breakfast and dinner were not very nice, which you don't expect from a hotel branding itself as a luxury wellness/spa resort. While parts of the property are modern, the room lottery roulette, poor food quality, and greedy upgrade tactics ruined my birthday trip. I've since found out many other guests have experienced the exact same thing—with some even being pressured by staff to delete negative reviews while on-site in exchange for upgrades. Be incredibly careful booking this place through third-party sites, because they will happily dump you in a room facing a construction zone.

returned from the Akasha Hotel today and I must admit that I am very, very pleased. Everything was as it should be: tasty, clean, and very nice. I eat at this hotel; it deserves 5*. The staff and managers pay attention to every detail and make sure the guests are happy. I've been to this hotel twice and I must admit that the first time was great, but this time it was perfect. I especially appreciate the bar manager, STEFANOS, and his team who served us by the main pool. The work and dedication they put into ensuring the guests are happy deserves special recognition. One of the waitresses, EVA, also deserves special recognition. Thank you to each and every one of you for your hospitality and treating me like a VIP. I will definitely be back. One of the most amazing hotels I’ve ever stayed at! ⭐️ אני We had a huge, beautiful, and spotless room, and from the moment we arrived, the service was warm, personal, and exceptional. A special thank you to Lia and Gregory at the reception, who took care of everything we needed—even in the middle of the night! They were incredibly kind and helpful. The hotel is clean, beautiful, the pool is spotless, and the bar service is excellent as well. Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wir waren vom 31.07.2026 bis 05.08.2026 als Familie mit zwei Erwachsenen und einem 7-jährigen Kind im Akasha Beach Hotel & Spa zu Gast. Da wir sehr viel auf der Welt unterwegs sind und regelmäßig in 5-Sterne-Hotels übernachten, können wir verschiedene Hotels gut miteinander vergleichen. Umso mehr hat uns dieses Hotel begeistert. Für ein Strandhotel ist das Akasha Beach Hotel & Spa aus unserer Sicht nahezu perfekt. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das außergewöhnlich freundliche und aufmerksame Personal. Egal ob an der Bar, am Pool, am Strand oder im Restaurant, überall wurden wir herzlich empfangen und hervorragend betreut. Man merkt, dass hier Gastfreundschaft wirklich gelebt wird. Auch die Sauberkeit war auf einem absoluten Top-Niveau. Die Zimmer wurden täglich sorgfältig gereinigt und das gesamte Hotel war jederzeit sehr gepflegt. Ein weiteres Highlight war das Essen. Die Auswahl, die Qualität und der Geschmack waren ausgezeichnet. Jeden Tag gab es abwechslungsreiche Speisen, sodass für jeden etwas dabei war. Auch unser 7-jähriges Kind hat sich rundum wohlgefühlt und den Urlaub in vollen Zügen genossen. Das Hotel bietet eine entspannte Atmosphäre und ist sowohl für Paare als auch für Familien absolut empfehlenswert. Für uns war dieser Aufenthalt einfach perfekt. Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen und das Akasha Beach Hotel & Spa von Herzen an unsere Freunde, Familie und Bekannten weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team für einen unvergesslichen Urlaub, wir freuen uns schon auf das nächste Mal!

Eines meiner absoluten Lieblingshotels! Ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen. Das gesamte Personal war unglaublich freundlich, herzlich und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Man hat sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen gefühlt. Das Essen war während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts sehr lecker und abwechslungsreich. Auch die Getränke waren hervorragend und von guter Qualität. Die Lage des Hotels ist ebenfalls ideal – ruhig, aber trotzdem gut gelegen und perfekt, um die Umgebung zu erkunden. Insgesamt hatten wir eine wunderschöne Woche und können dieses Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Wir freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Aufenthalt!

We have just returned from a one-week stay at Akasha Beach Hotel with our 6-month-old baby. First of all, the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. It’s modern, immaculately maintained and photographs incredibly well. We paid extra for a sea view room, which was definitely worth it, and there were plenty of shaded areas around the pool, making it ideal for travelling with a baby. Our cot was fully made up with bedding, blankets and thoughtful extras, which was a lovely touch. The bed was comfortable, although the pillows were the flattest I’ve ever slept on and offered very little support. Having stayed in many luxury 5-star hotels, including Fairmont, W Hotels, Grosvenor Hotels and Rixos Hotels, I personally don’t feel Akasha meets the standard of a genuine 5-star resort. The biggest disappointment by far was the food. We booked half board but after the first day we chose to eat out every evening instead. There were no à la carte restaurants or menu options, only two buffet restaurants serving virtually the same selection of food each day. Despite having two restaurants, there was very little difference between them, with the same dishes repeated throughout the week. The food was bland, repetitive, often lukewarm and simply not enjoyable. We genuinely couldn’t face eating there again and ended up spending extra money eating elsewhere for the rest of our holiday. For a hotel advertising itself as a 5-star resort, the food was by far the biggest disappointment of our stay. The drinks were also extremely expensive if you weren’t booked all inclusive, making it feel as though half-board guests were being penalised. Another surprise was that there wasn’t even a minibar in the room, which is something I’d expect as standard in a hotel of this rating. Room service was available, but every order came with an additional €15 delivery charge on top of the food. If you later ordered drinks or dessert separately, you were charged another €15. We found this completely excessive and not what we’d expect from a luxury hotel. When we arrived, we asked whether there were any room upgrades available and were quoted an additional €1,000, despite the exact same upgrade being advertised through our travel company for around £500. Thankfully, midway through our stay the hotel upgraded us free of charge, which we genuinely appreciated and was a lovely gesture. The staff were friendly and polite, but overall the service lacked the attentiveness and proactiveness expected from a genuine 5-star resort. However, one member of staff deserves special recognition. George at the pool bar was outstanding throughout our stay. He was always welcoming, approachable and genuinely happy to help. On our final day, the hotel had no availability for a late check-out before our evening flight, and once we’d left our room they were unable to provide a kettle for our baby’s bottles. George immediately stepped in, found a solution and made sure we had everything we needed. His kindness genuinely took the stress out of the end of our holiday, and he is a real credit to the hotel. Overall, the hotel is undeniably beautiful and very family-friendly, but appearance alone isn’t enough. The poor-quality food, expensive drinks, lack of a minibar, excessive room service charges, uncomfortable pillows and inconsistent service meant it simply didn’t deliver the luxury experience we expected. We still made wonderful family memories, but they were made despite the hotel rather than because of it. Personally, I’d rate it as a 3-star experience rather than a genuine 5-star resort. Sadly, we wouldn’t return and don’t feel the hotel offers value for the price it charges.
