We stayed at Dusit Thani Manila after arriving on an early morning flight from Dubai. Traveling with two young children is extremely exhausting, so we paid for early check-in to get some much-needed rest, which we truly appreciated. The staff accommodated our request, and we were able to check in around 8:00 AM. I’ve always considered Dusit Thani one of the best hotels in Manila. Even though there are newer hotels nearby at slightly lower rates, I still chose to stay here because of its reputation and the positive experiences I’ve had in the past. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the condition of the room we were assigned. The carpet was dirty and sticky, which was especially concerning because I had hoped my baby could safely crawl on the floor. The bathroom sink faucet was leaking, the shower area flooded the entire bathroom, the bedroom curtains were stained and dirty, and the power sockets were loose and couldn’t properly charge our devices. The room also had a noticeable moldy smell that triggered my allergies, and the air conditioning wasn’t cooling the room adequately. On the positive side, the breakfast was excellent, and the restaurant staff were attentive, friendly, and very helpful throughout our stay. The bellmen and the rest of the hotel staff were also warm, courteous, and welcoming. I truly hope Dusit Thani invests more in maintaining and renovating its rooms. The outstanding service provided by the staff deserves facilities that reflect the hotel’s reputation.

I have visited Dusit Thani a few times for the buffet at The Pantry, which is not that bad. So considering my experience with The Pantry, I am not leaving merely a one-star for this review. I rarely leave a very low review, I would rather skip reviewing if I am not happy. But the service here was really terrible. Especially for the person handling wedding events. If you are looking for a wedding venue, just avoid Dusit Thani. We were able to look around the venue, which was good enough for us. The staff who showed us around was friendly. But the salesperson handling wedding events was hostile. Dusit Thani was our first choice, and we were ready to sign with them, hence why we wanted to set a meeting. We looked past the fact that she was too busy to meet, and proceed to request for a formal quotation, so we may proceed with signing as soon as possible. Upon requesting for a formal quote, I was asked how likely we were to sign. Which made me wonder, is this Dusit Thani's usual practice? Don't you provide a quotation unless there is a 100% chance of booking? Anyway, I reassured we'll sign with them because we were really supposed to. But we never received a message again.

We stayed at Dusit Thani on September 26–27, and unfortunately, the experience did not feel like a 5-star hotel. Reception & Service – 1/10 During check-in, Trisha assisted us, but she wasn’t very attentive to our details. We also had quite a lot of things with us, but no one offered a bellboy or any assistance with our luggage. The reception and operator service throughout our stay were also disappointing. For a 5-star hotel, I honestly expected much better hospitality and attention to guests. Room – 0/10 The room smelled moldy and reminded me of an old, musty house. The bed felt overused, and the pillows definitely need replacing. There were four pillows, but honestly, if you combined all four, they would probably make just two normal pillows. 😅 They were that flat! Breakfast & Restaurant Staff – 10/10 ⭐️ This was the best part of our stay. We enjoyed the breakfast, and the restaurant staff were very attentive and accommodating, especially with my kids. They really took care of our concerns and gave us the kind of service we expected from a 5-star hotel. Would I go back? For the restaurant and breakfast, YES. For the hotel stay, unfortunately, no. I hope management improves the rooms and front desk service so the overall hotel experience matches the 5-star name and expectations.

I was honestly disappointed with my stay at Dusit Thani Manila, especially considering the price and its positioning as a luxury five-star hotel. My biggest concern was the room itself. The room was very small for our family of three, and for the amount we paid, I really expected something more spacious and comfortable. I have stayed in other hotels that offer much larger and better-equipped rooms at a lower price, so unfortunately, I did not feel that the room was worth the rate. Another major issue was the shower. We had no hot water in our room, which is something I would not expect from a hotel at this level. I was also surprised by the lobby. There is a lot of open space, but not enough comfortable seating or sofas for guests. For a luxury hotel, I expected the lobby to be more welcoming and comfortable, especially when guests need to sit while waiting or meeting someone. Overall, based on our experience, I personally did not feel the level of comfort and value that I would expect from a five-star luxury hotel. For the price, I expected much better room comfort, basic amenities such as reliable hot water, and more attention to the overall guest experience.

2026年８月中旬に利用しました。 4泊しましたが、スタッフ皆、毎日早朝から笑顔で挨拶をしてくださり、素敵なおもてなしで気分良く過ごすことができました。 朝食も盛りつけがキレイで種類も豊富なのでついつい長居してしまいましたが、大満足です！ またマニラへ行くことがあったら利用したいホテル候補になりました！
