Overall really enjoyed my stay at The Salmar and if you get a good deal it is well worth coming for a calm adults only get away where all you want to do is laze around the pool most of the day. I think for what I paid (£2k for 11 days including flights for standard room on my own) I feel like I was expecting a few things to be a bit better. What you ought to know is the gym isn't yet ready so if that is important its worth checking with the hotel before you book. I also noticed theres supposed to be a fountain at the pool but its not working or in use. Apparently the pool is heated but it felt cold to me although I personally loved it and found it very refreshing. The rooms itself are very thoughtfully furnished with everything you might want but no iron or hob/oven. There is a full size fridge, microwave, sink, kettle and pod coffee machine. I didn't really enjoy any of the coffee in the hotel, pods nor the coffee machine at breakfast. If you're british and want a proper cup of tea bring your own bags because I couldn't get the hotels English breakfast tea bags to brew strong enough at all which was my first frustration. When I first arrived at my room there was a slight sewage smell but once I used the plumbing more this went away. There is water refill on every floor which is very appreciated. I do think the rooms should come with an iron and I think some guests would like a porter so they don't have to lug their own luggage. I'm a bit of a food and drink snob so I was a bit disappointed by the quality of the cocktails which is a real shame because its a perfect spot to enjoy them. It wasn't a proper margarita or mojito and they used tons of syrups and short cuts to make average cocktails. Some people okay with that but I would have paid more for a proper mixologist at the bar. I also would have liked my drinks to be served to me at the pool. The food at the pool is very nice overall, simple and inoffensive. The real highlight is the restaurant camarote - highly recommend trying here if you're a bit of foodie and enjoy good wine. Sunbeds were often reserved even though hotel policy suggests otherwise. Despite that plenty of beds to go around. Lovely sea views in all rooms and beds are very comfortable and plush. Hot and powerful shower. The sauna wasn't very hot when I first arrived but does now seem to be fixed. So some small minor teething problems depending what you care about. I think if I had paid £1.5k I would feel less disappointed by the quality of the drinks. Even the sangria felt basic and I just felt the quality of the hotel itself was lovely so you sort of naturally expected more thought into the cocktails. Some of the staff were much better at making drinks than others which also is frustrating as I don't want to offend a staff member but I also want a quality drink for 10 euro price (or happily pay 12 euro if thats what it takes to have a mixologist). The area is quiet but plenty of restaurants to choose from. This isn't a place for late nights however. The breakfast had plenty of choice and food was good. Only gripe was coffee and tea. I'd have liked proper tea bags and maybe French press coffee option or barista coffee as the coffee machine coffee was undrinkable for me personally. You might find it just fine though. It's definitely 4 star with 3/4 star quality cocktails. If you get a deal definitely worth coming here as the views and facilities are beautiful. I would have rated 5* if better drinks, iron in room, working gym and porter for the bags. I'm not sure I would return for the price. Probably I could get more value for money at santa Barbara golf that offers the same as this hotel but you get full self catering room which would suit me better (I prefer to eat out at proper restaurant and then eat in some nights to save money, quality over quantity). I tried the massage and facial and both were good but the pricing shown on the paper needs checking. I got charged 125 euro for both when I swore it said 110 on the menu paper.

Excelente hotel. La decoración es exquisita, no falta detalle.El personal, muy amable, Elena de recepción, Ubay y Miguel del bar de la piscina, en general todos los empleados, gente estupenda. Todo es comodísimo, la habitación, la cama, (tienen hasta una carta de almohadas), las tumbonas y las camas balinesas. La sensación que tuve fue de descanso total. El desayuno y la comida del bar de la piscina, excelente. Recomiendo también reservar cena en el restaurante CAMAROTE, que está en el hotel, justo en el paseo de la playa, no se van a arrepentir. Yo repetiré estancia segurísimo.

Segunda vez que nos alojamos en el Salmar y no ha podido ir mejor. Si la primera estancia nos dejó un sabor de boca buenísimo tras la reforma, esta vez han vuelto a superar las expectativas. Se mantiene como ese rincón marinero solo para adultos perfecto para desconectar del todo. Las habitaciones siguen siendo un lujo por lo espaciosas que son y por tener la vista al mar garantizada. Disfrutamos.de nuevo de sus desayunos de diez y de la amabilidad de todo el personal, Miguel en recepción y un chico andaluz en buffet fueron especialmente amables. Repetiremos una tercera sin duda.

Solo nos alojamos una noche. El personal de recepción muy amable , atento y eficiente. Tuvimos un problema con el A/C y nos cambiaron de habitación inmediatamente a una superior. Piscina pequeña pero tranquila, hamacas cómodas. Hotel totalmente renovado. Hacemos mención especial a Miguel, camarero del bar piscina. Recomendamos comer en el restaurante: CAMAROTE, que es del hotel. Cocina muy cuidada y productos de primera calidad. El servicio excelente y el dueño muy atento, siempre pendiente de los clientes. No se vayan sin probar la tarta de queso majorero, un espectáculo!!! El restaurante también está abierto al público general, no hace falta que te alojes en el hotel para poder disfrutarlo, Como sugerencia al hotel, mejoraría el desayuno y pondría más sombrillas y de otro tipo, en la zona de piscina, que te permita refugiarte del sol. Como experiencia general , si buscas desconectar y algo sencillo, el SALMAR es una excelente opción.

Excelente hotel solo para adultos recién renovado frente al mar. Nos encantó el trato del personal y la temática del hotel, con muchos detalles en la decoración muy bien logrados. Piscina, Jacuzzi y vistas espectaculares al mar. Desayuno a resaltar por su calidad y variedad. Lo recomendamos 100%.

A newly refurbished hotel. A great atmosphere with lots of little professional touches that set it apart from other hotels. The balconies, for example, offer plenty of privacy and have a really comfortable sun lounger. The staff are thoroughly professional and incredibly friendly. I travel a lot for work and would love to come back again.
