Beautiful hotel, but far from 5★ service standards I stayed for 6 nights, and while the hotel is visually impressive and very well marketed, the service did not meet 5-star expectations. I would like to start by highlighting the waiting staff, who were consistently kind, attentive, and professional throughout our stay. They were, without a doubt, the highlight of the experience. Unfortunately, other aspects fell short. Reception staff (with the exception of Laura, who was polite and professional) often seemed bothered when approached and lacked the level of professionalism and training expected at this level. Basic information was not provided at check-in, which set a poor tone from the beginning. Upon arrival, the initial room allocated did not meet basic cleanliness standards. The nightstand was visibly stained and the floor had not been properly cleaned. I had to call housekeeping immediately, which made for a very unpleasant welcome. What was most concerning is that the stains were easily removed with a wet cloth, suggesting this was not wear and tear, but simply a lack of proper cleaning. Before arrival, I had specifically requested neighbouring or connected rooms, as we were travelling with children. I not only added this request in the booking but also called customer service in advance to emphasise its importance. Despite this, we were allocated rooms far apart, on different parts of the corridor. One of the rooms was also interconnected with another, but the communicating door was broken (this was fixed promptly, which I appreciated). In the end, we had to pay extra to upgrade the next day in order to be moved into neighbouring rooms. The additional cost itself was not the issue—it was the lack of planning and communication. This situation could have easily been avoided with better organisation, especially given the prior notice. Housekeeping was below expectations. During a 6-night stay, bedsheets were not changed, which is not in line with what one would expect from a 5-star hotel unless clearly communicated. Another disappointing aspect was how access to shows and à la carte restaurants is managed. Shows take place daily, yet for a 6-night stay you are limited to booking only two, which feels unnecessarily restrictive. The same applies to à la carte restaurants, with only two reservations allowed. This becomes even more frustrating when compared proportionally to a 7-night stay, where guests are allowed three shows. A more balanced and transparent approach would significantly improve the guest experience. Additionally, in what is clearly a family-oriented resort, it was surprising to hear uncensored English music with explicit language being played in common areas. This felt inappropriate for the setting and not aligned with the expectations of a hotel catering to families with children. Overall, while the hotel looks the part, the service does not currently reflect a true 5-star experience. With better staff training, improved communication, and more attention to guest needs, the experience could be significantly improved. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as the issues raised are fundamental and, if addressed properly, could significantly enhance the guest experience.

We stayed here for two weeks in June 2026. It was ok. The room was a good size, however the air conditioning was sub par. We had to ask for a fan to make it more comfortable. Getting from floor to floor was a pain as they had limited lifts and using the stairs wasn’t possible as our child is young so was in a pushchair. Sometimes there were queues for the lift. Most of the staff were nice. One lady in particular always made a fuss of the kids which was lovely. Some members of staff however need a lesson in customer service and manners. The main issues were the attitude of the buffet staff. Most were rude and impolite, but the noticeable thing was that the attitude mainly came from female employees. A recommendation to the resort would be to let people get their own drinks. I ended up having to go and ask multiple times for drinks only to be told it was table service. My reply was if it was table service then why haven’t I been served in 40 minutes? I’ve had better table service at McDonald’s. The food was sub par also, and not fitting with the claim of being 5 star. I’ve stayed at 5 star resorts before and let me assure you that this isn’t a 5 star resort. It is 4 star at best. Overall : ok

Séjour agréable en famille, mais des prestations en dessous d'un vrai 5 étoiles Nous avons passé 7 nuits en famille au Bahia Principe Fantasia Tenerife. Dans l'ensemble, nous avons passé un bon moment, mais certains aspects méritent d'être soulignés. Les points positifs : Le personnel du Kids Club et l'équipe de ménage : Un grand merci à eux pour leur immense investissement et leur dévouement à offrir le meilleur service possible aux clients. Les infrastructures : L'hôtel dispose d'une formidable et grande structure aquatique, idéale pour les enfants. Le personnel : Dans l'ensemble, nous avons croisé des employés très gentils et serviables. Les points négatifs : Le parking payant : Pour un établissement affiché 5 étoiles avec un tarif moyen de 330 € la nuit, faire payer le parking 15 € par jour est inacceptable. Pouvoir garer son véhicule devrait être un service de base inclus à ce niveau de prestation. Restauration et boissons décevantes : Les buffets, les restaurants à la carte et les bars manquent clairement de qualité. Les produits locaux ne sont pas du tout mis en valeur. Tous les jus sont à base de poudre et les cocktails s'avèrent très chimiques et trop sucrés. Animations répétitives : Les animations sont variées pour un séjour de 3 ou 4 jours, mais sur une semaine complète, cela devient très répétitif. Inconstance du service : Si une partie du personnel est charmante, d'autres employés semblent complètement blasés ou dépassés par la pression et le flux de clients. En résumé, l'hôtel offre un beau cadre pour les enfants, mais la qualité de la restauration et les frais annexes ne sont pas à la hauteur des standards attendus pour un 5 étoiles.

Currently enjoying a lovely holiday in Tenerife. The hotel is very modern and clean both in the rooms and outside areas. The rooms themselves are large which is great for families. The activities for children are really good and very varied. The pools are nice and warm and my children have basically been swimming all day every day. The food so far has been great - lots of choice at the buffet which is wonderful. The only issue is the wind (which I appreciate the hotel cannot do anything about) but it is problematic when sitting by the pools - you cannot leave anything not clipped down and using the umbrellas for shade is tricky as they catch regularly in the gusts.

Overall, we’ve had a mixed experience. The hotel itself is very family-friendly, and the kids’ facilities are excellent. If you’re planning to spend most of your holiday within the resort, there’s plenty to keep children entertained. The reception staff deserve special mention—they were always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful with any queries or requests. Unfortunately, there were some significant downsides. We have specific dietary requirements and, despite following every step the hotel requested—including emailing reception and the guest services team in advance—our needs were still not properly accommodated. This was disappointing and caused unnecessary stress during our stay. We also reported issues with the air conditioning several times, but the problem was never resolved, which made the room uncomfortable. The location is another consideration. There isn’t much within walking distance, so if you’re looking to explore the local area, you may find it limiting. However, if your intention is to stay within the hotel for most of your holiday, it’s a good choice. One tip for future guests: bring reusable water bottles, as they’ll come in handy during your stay. Overall, the hotel has great facilities and excellent staff at reception, but improvements are needed in resolving maintenance issues and delivering on promised dietary requirements.

We’ve just returned from an amazing stay at Bahia Principe Fantasia Tenerife and would highly recommend it to any family with young children. The hotel itself is beautiful, spotlessly clean and has everything you need for a relaxing family holiday. The pools and splash park were fantastic, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and there was always plenty of choice when it came to food. The evening shows were excellent and really added something special to each night. Overall, the hotel has been designed with families in mind. What really made this holiday stand out, though, was the entertainment team. They were absolutely incredible with our children from the moment we arrived until the day we left. Their energy, enthusiasm and genuine care were outstanding. They took the time to get to know the kids, remembered their names, encouraged them to join in activities and made every child feel included and special. You could tell they genuinely love what they do, and it made such a difference to our holiday. Seeing our children so excited every day to take part in the activities and interact with the entertainment staff was priceless. They created memories that our family will be talking about for years to come. Thank you to everyone at Bahia Principe Fantasia for such a wonderful holiday. We’ll definitely be back!
