Half-board stay in July 2025, booked via Stayforlong. Food is the clear differentiator: buffet quality is gourmet-leaning, with international variety and refined presentation that changes daily. The clientele is mainly Northern European, which keeps the atmosphere calm and well-mannered. Rooms are compact yet comfortable, with premium Olivia toiletries and reliable daily cleaning. The private beach is small yet neatly maintained and includes a pontoon for easy sea access—a smart fix for the pebbly shoreline. Sunbeds were always available, as most guests preferred the pool bar (where light meals are served). Drinks at dinner are not included, and bottled water and wine are slightly overpriced, but service remains polished. Evenings feature tasteful entertainment such as a fire show performed by two dancers, aligning perfectly with the resort’s elegant tone. Mini-markets and wild beaches nearby make exploring easy. A refined, quiet resort for travellers prioritising cuisine, cleanliness and serenity over low-cost stays.

Ein tolles Familienfreundliches Hotel, zwei schöne Pool von 1,20 bis 1,70 tiefe und einen Kinder Pool. Viele Aktivitäten sind hier möglich. Stand isst ca. 150 Meter entfernt und eine Straßen querung nötig, aber dafür sauber und genügend platze vorhanden

Schönes, sauberes Hotel mit netter Anlage. Nette Mitarbeiter am der Rezeption, die immer ihr bestes tun weiterzuhelfen. Im Restaurant freuten wir uns immer auf April und ihre herzliche Art. Leckeres Essen auf einem grossem Buffet. Abends Wechseln die Themen, es gibt mal Spanferkel, dann eine Grillecke, mal Schokobrunnen, mal Lachs. Wenn man die Kaffeemaschine mit Kapseln und Hebel erstmal verstanden hat, Personal erklärt es immer fleißig, lohnt es sich, da die Variationen sehr gross ist und der Kafge lecker. Man kann bei den Kapseln auch zwischen 3 Stärken wählen. Eher kleinere Anlage, daher gemütluch und nicht überfüllt. Alles sauber und ordentlich. Da erholt man sich schnell. Auf der Zufahrtstrasse ist eine Verleihstation, in der man sich Räder, Roller und Auto leihen kann. Mit den Rädern kommt man gut nach Kos Stadt. Gegenüber ist ein kleiner Strand, der zum Hotel gehört. Mit Liegen und Sonnenschirmen. Im Wasser ist es steinig. Aber ein Steg mit Sandsäcken erleichtert das ins Wasser kommen. Es gibt Entertainment Programm, nicht aufdringlich und im Rahmen. Abends ist Mini Disco und eine kleine Show. Wir hatten 2 grossartige Sänger, die "Legenden" Lieder gesungen haben. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne, erholsame Zeit. Vielen Dank!

Had a great holiday at Platanista hotel! The rooms are very clean and the most comfortable beds ever! The staff is lovely and they have a great restaurant for breakfast and dinner, a lot of choice! They have two spacious swimming pools with lots of beds, and even a tennis field! Spartak makes the best cocktails!

Overall this is a really superb hotel. Extremely clean - both the communal areas and the rooms. Everything is spotless and tidy. The lobby is really lovely and a great place to relax. The rooms are cleaned daily and beds are made. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The location itself is near some stunning beaches. We hired bikes from the shop down the road and toured around, it’s a good way to explore the area. 10 euro per bike. The hotel has a private beach a few hundred metres from the hotel with sun beds and a changing room. It is very well kept. Mini mart is about a 10 min walk from the hotel. The entertainment is very good and run by Freddo, Joy and Curtis who do a great job keeping the guests entertained with various activities and shows. There are a few things that can be improved at the hotel though.. The food was ok, just a bit bland and not varied enough. The staff were clearly working hard but the food itself did not quite hit the spot. We speak English and found it difficult to understand what we were eating as the food labelling was inadequate. Everything seems catered for German guests. Anyone with food allergies or requirements would struggle here. The facilities at the hotel are excellent. Pools are fantastic and plenty of sun beds to go around. The food at the pool bar was great, probably better than the restaurant. Waiting staff extremely efficient and friendly. Would stay here again as we had a good time but it would be 5 stars if the food was improved.

One of the nicest hotels we have been in. The hotel itself is clean and staff can't do enough for you. The biggest drawback for us was the location as it's a taxi ride from kos town. We are not able to walk very far as we both suffer with our backs so you needed a taxi which are in rather short supply on the island. Waiting times both ways are quite lengthy but having nothing pressing to do it didn't matter. There is also a bus stop outside the hotel but the waiting times can be a bit unpredictable too apparently.
