When you book: Go ahead and schedule a Half Day Immersion massage. It’s vacation. Treat yourself. I was bummed to have not been able to book it on such short notice, but that’s my own dang fault for waiting til I got there to try to book a 3.5 hour massage. I imagine it will probably change your life for the better and maybe you’ll start singing to animals for the foreseeable future afterwards….who knows. Next, make sure you book the room that overlooks the ocean. I forget the exact name of the room but they’ll know. It’s on the second floor right above the bar area and has the most gorgeous view over the Atlantic (you’ll want to make sure to watch the sunset and take the most gorgeous photos from the balcony). When you arrive: First of all, if you weren’t able to book the Half Day Immersion massage then you best book the Atlantic massage ASAP and thank me later. Sylvia is a miracle worker. Seriously- best massage of my life. After you do those two things, enjoy the free drink they give you while they kindly move all your things to your room. Chill out. Enjoy the views. Take a deep breath. You’ve arrived to your oasis. Once settled in your room and you’ve checked out that ocean view, head on downstairs and have Ze (I’m fairly certain that’s his name/correct spelling) make you a drink. If you’re like my friend, have him custom make you the mocktail/cocktail that you’ll be obsessed with for the duration of your stay and then some. Then order some food from Aida and talk to her like you would your college bestie because she is here for it and is 100% pure sunshine. Lounge by the pool to work on your tan and catch up on your latest read, take a dip to cool off, then lounge some more. Watch the sunset from your all-day lounge spot or head on upstairs to catch your own private balcony view. Go for a nighttime swim in the heated salt water pool or just head to bed cause you’ve had a full day and need to wake up refreshed. Wake up sometime mid-morning, stroll down to breakfast and order from the lovely and precious Daniela, talk to her like she’s the sweet cousin you only get to see at the holidays but always feel like a better human being after you do, then you better go resume your lounge spot and repeat yesterday’s activities. Feel free to do that on repeat for as long as you’re there. If you want to go exploring beyond Sensi, there’s a nearby pool that’s part of the Atlantic Ocean where you can go at low tide and it’s like a natural, glorified, insanely beautiful hot tub. Ask the hotel about it for more information/name. So yeah, that’s Sensi. The people, views, food, spa, everything is just wonderful and exuuudes relaxation. Highly recommend if that’s the kind of trip you’re looking for.

I cannot overstate how great this hotel is. We were not originally supposed to stay here. We wanted to, but it was fully booked at the time. Our flight home was cancelled due to weather (along with every other flight) and they were able to take us in late at night. The kitchen was closed, but they were kind enough to put together some food for us, which was much needed after many hours at the airport. Every single person we dealt with was unbelievably kind. They wanted to do everything they could to make sure we were comfortable. I can't stress enough how kind the entire staff was there, it's like nothing I've ever experienced before. The rooms are beautiful. The food is great. The setting and view are exceptional. I would recommend anyone stay at this hotel, and if we're ever back in the Azores we will certainly book our stay here.

I just visited the spa as I was looking for a little relaxation and saw they had some unique offerings. The property overall was beautiful but the entire process was very clunky and started my experience off the wrong way. First off to book any spa service they won’t assist you to book over the phone, you must email. So of course you end up back and forth emailing trying to find a time that works, missing information, half answers etc. It was incredibly frustrating. Once ready to book I asked when I can come before my treatments (300 euro worth) to enjoy the pool and sauna and was informed that would be an additional cost. In all my years visiting spas around the world, a basic entry to use pools when booking multiple treatments is a given, not additional cost. When I checked in for my appointment there seemed to be confusion on my booking, eventually brought into the spa building. It was not reflective of the rest of the establishment- it was basic, small, no ambiance. The woman who did my treatments did a great job for what it was, the scrub and massage was very good. but the facial was nothing unique or noteworthy- just a basic wash, tone, mask, moisturizer. Could have gotten that anywhere for half the cost and likely a better ambiance. Overall just a meh experience with fancy names on the spa menu and unjustified price tags in my experience.

Hotel je na Bookingu zalistován jako 5*, na Googlu jako 4*. Cena za noc je poměrně vysoká a reference velmi dobré – proto jsme si tu s rodinou pobyt objednali. Odjíždíme zklamaní. Začnu pozitivy: hotel leží na velmi klidném místě, nabízí hezký bar, příjemnou restauraci, spa a několik bazénů. Zázemí je pěkné a pokoje prostorné. Chování obsluhy ale 4*, natož 5* zážitku naprosto neodpovídá. Zejména při snídaních je obsluha velmi neprofesionální – objednávku si nepíše, takže ji opakovaně zapomíná, a navíc je extrémně pomalá. Na vejce nebo mimózu čekáte 20 minut i déle. Snídaně jsou celkově nedostačující. Podávají se mezi 8. a 10. hodinou; základní kontinentální nabídku lze doplnit o teplé pokrmy na objednávku, jenže ta trvá tak dlouho, že kontinentální část mezitím sníte a pak jen čekáte. Hotel sice nabízí možnost dřívější snídaně – čehož jsme využili – obsluha ale nezmínila, že kuchyně otevírá až v 8 hodin a do té doby teplé pokrmy nejsou k dispozici. Pro představu přikládám fotografii snídaně podávané pro 4 osoby – množství naprosto nedostačující. Zelenina na snídaních zcela chybí, káva je nekvalitní Nespresso. Čistota hotelu je velmi špatná. Pokojské chodí v podstatě jen vyměnit ručníky a ustlat postel. Drobky, které naším dětem upadly 2. den pobytu, zůstaly na stejném místě až do konce – za celou dobu nikdo nevysál ani nevytřel. Opakovaně nám na pokoji nechávali špinavé nádobí. Terasa přiléhající k pokoji nebyla za celou dobu pobytu uklizena ani jednou; okolí hotelu obývá velké množství ptáků, jejichž trus pokrývá veškerý nábytek, takže je terasa reálně nepoužitelná. Vnitřní wellness – zejména okna – zjevně nikdo nemyl velmi dlouho. Vše je zašlé, flekaté, špinavé. Na pokoji je navíc zima; klimatizace ani malý radiátor nestačí, zvláště pokud se vracíte po celém dni strávené venku. Celkově jde o velmi podprůměrné ubytování, které v této cenové kategorii kvalitou služeb naprosto neodpovídá standardu dnešního trhu.

Sensi exceeded my expectations in every way. The setting is beautiful, with incredible views and a calm, relaxing atmosphere. My wife and I are vegetarian, and instead of driving 30 minutes into São Miguel for meals, we found the food at Sensi to be so exceptional that we chose to eat there every night. There were always options on the menu that worked for us, and everything we had was genuinely outstanding. What stood out just as much as the food was the staff—they were welcoming, attentive, and consistently professional. They made a real effort to accommodate us and ensure our stay was seamless. We had massages on the premises and also arranged, through the resort, a sunset horseback ride, which was truly magnificent. I can’t say enough good things about this place. We would go back in a heartbeat and highly recommend it.

Wir haben das Hotel wirklich sehr gemocht. Alles ist mit sehr viel Liebe eingerichtet und wird von einem grossartigem Team geführt und bewirtschaftet. Ich hatte auch eine tolle Massage bei Susana. Einzige Kritikpunkte wären hier (wie bereits erwähnt) kleiner Modernisierungen und Ausbesserungsarbeiten im Spa bereit (Pool, Sauna). In der Sauna könnten auch Aufgüsse mit Düften bereit gestellt werden. Unser Zimmer war toll mit einem wunderbaren Blick. Es war aber auch hellhörig - auch das haben wir unter den Kommentaren bereits gelesen. So konnten wir unsere Nachbarn in der Nacht beim Liebesspiel hören - von Anfang bis Ende. Auf Sao Miguel mitunter sicher das Beste Hotel. Der Service und die Herzlichkeit im Sensi sind aussergewöhnlich. Manche Preisgestaltungen fanden wir jedoch etwas seltsam. So wird das Wasser im Zimmer (in der Karaffe) mit 4 Euro verrechnet und ein Avocadotoast schlägt (eine in Olivenöl angebratene Scheibe mit Avocadoscheiben belegt) mit 10 Euro zu Buche. Natürlich hat alles seinen Preis, bei den Zimmerpreisen, sollten solche Kleinigkeiten meiner Meinung jedoch inkludiert sein. Vielen Dank für die wunderbaren Tage im Sensi.
