Had originally booked the premiere ocean suite but said it was booked or getting work done on it so took a 'downgrade' to a Jr suite with breakfast included to compensate as id paid online. The downgrade makes me wonder what how nice the premiere suite is because the Jr suite is perfect ! The breakfast is a big variety buffet and choice of eggs to go with. The afternoon tea (free) I think maybe leftovers from breakfast made in to sammys, cakes, biscuits, fruit, bali coffee and teas. The sate chicken skewers are really good. Like reeeeally good. The nasi goreng nice too. The bolognaise is average, but id have it again. The bases of the pizzas weren't the greatest, kinda cardboardey, but tasty topping. The orange souffle pancake dessert was delicious. The mango sticky rice I havent had it before to compare it to anything (but it was a bit bland for me) The pool area and restaurant are beautiful, the grounds are really well taken care of, the view of the ocean and the hills as like bali postcards. There is some construction going out in front along the beach, I believe for 6km maybe, so im looking forward to coming back here to see how it turns out. The construction has not impacted our stay, we made the most of the pool which was fine with us.

Ik heb een fijn verblijf (5 nachten) gehad bij Ramayana Candidasa Beach Resort. Het zwembad was schoon en redelijk groot. Je moet wel vroeg zijn voor een ligbed. Wellicht een verbeterpunt voor het resort om meer ligbedden aan te schaffen. Zeker nu er geen toegang tot het strand is in verband met een 3-jaar durende project. Tijdens het inchecken werd dit ook gemeld; ook dat er werkzaamheden zijn in het resort zelf. Er waren namelijk wat klachten over van de andere gasten. Maarja, zonder geluid iets renoveren is lastig he? De medewerkers waren allen zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Toen ik aangaf dat er een waterlekkage was in de muren van mijn kamer, werd dit zeer snel opgelost. Ik kreeg zelfs een junior suite ter compensatie. De suite was erg ruim en schoon. Het rook wel een beetje muf in de badkamer; maar dat is een veelvoorkomend probleem in Indonesië. De service van de medewerkers in het restaurant was ook erg fijn. Al moet je niet op hoog culinaire gerechten rekenen. Het eten was prima. Al Dente is een Italiaans restaurant iets verderop wat ook bij het resort hoort. Daar heb ik erg lekker gegeten! Met een shuttle service vanuit het hotel word je gebracht en gehaald. Locatie is afgelegen; je zit inderdaad ver van het “centrum”. Via het hotel kan je vervoer regelen om ergens heen te gaan. Maar voor mij was de afgelegen plek juist fijn. Ver van de drukte. Tijdens het verblijf heb ik ook gebruik gemaakt van hun laundry service, hun spa en het regelen van een kort uitje naar Tirta Gangga en het vervoer naar Seminyak. De prijzen liggen inderdaad wat hoger dan elders. In Candidasa komt het gebruik van Gojek of Grab zeer weinig voor. Wel voor het brengen van eten, maar niet voor vervoer. De hotels en resorts werken namelijk samen met de inwoners van Candidasa. Om hen aan inkomen te helpen. Alleen maar mooi dat ze dit doen. Al met al heb ik erg genoten van mijn verblijf hier en ik kom graag een keer terug!

Bien que le personnel soit adorable, mon expérience dans cet hôtel fut affreuse. La chambre était sale et dégageait une odeur horrible d’humidité et de remontées d’égout. La nourriture, chère, était quasiment immangeable. Il n’y a aucun accès plage en face comme le site le laisse l’imaginer, le SPA est absolument hors de prix. Je ne recommande surtout pas.

We have just spent 10 nights in a Beach Front Villa at Ramayana Candidasa Beach Resort and had a wonderful time. We were intially disappointed to find that the beach is closed and there is heavy machinary working along the beach front. So no snorkelling, swimming or walking alog the beach after dinner. We were lucky though that there was no activity directly in front of the hotel during our visit - they were working further along the beach. Once it is finished it will be magnificent to have a 6Km walkway - but there are varying reports of finish time - maybe 1 to 2 years away. The Govt is in charge of the project, not the Hotel, so they have no control. As a result Candidasa is down on tourists, so it wasnt so busy. Virgin beach is 25 mins away, and is white,sandy, and open - and the hotel has a shuttle to take you there. But the pool and the restaurant are unaffected by all of this, as was the view from our villa. It was all gorgeous. The villa was a bit dated, but super clean and in a great position. The staff are so lovely, and looked after us really well through out our stay. I do wish they had told us, but in the end it didn't matter. There are big gardens to walk around after dinner, and the pool is fantastic. it was great to be away from the craziness of places like Kuta and Seminyak. We wanted a not-so-touristy place - and Candidasa is just that.

Recently stayed here. From the time I walked through, I caught that amazing smell in the lobby. The cold towel truly refreshed me from a long day driving through the city and village. The hotel has such a quiet, relaxing vibe that makes it so easy to just unwind and forget about everything else. The room itself was huge, with tons of space to kick back, and you can tell they really take care of the place because all the furniture and decor looked totally spotless and fresh. But honestly, the absolute highlight was the food—their Sop Buntut is seriously outstanding and easily some of the best I’ve ever had. Between the cozy atmosphere, the massive rooms, and that incredible oxtail soup, this stay was exactly what I needed, and I’ll definitely be coming back for more.

We booked this hotel on short notice and were in direct contact with the property by phone beforehand. Unfortunately, we were not informed about the extremely large construction site located directly next to the hotel. The noise level was so intense that it made it impossible to relax by the pool throughout the entire day. Additionally, our mother-in-law was assigned a room facing ongoing renovation works in the adjacent building, which caused further disturbance and discomfort during her stay. Overall, we are very disappointed with the management’s lack of transparency and handling of the situation. This is not what we would expect, especially after prior communication. On a positive note, the service in the restaurant was consistently good and the staff there did a great job.
